@Ralizah oh boy...

Ok, first of all, you're speaking with someone who has played the PS1 game, so if I'm telling you there are no RPG elements, maybe consider it true. Otherwise you can Google it yourself.
I'm just trying to avoid people being disappointed and negatively reviewing this game because they don't find any RPG elements.

Second of all, I did say LRG is very likely going to release this in physical format. Maybe re-read what I wrote? You may have missed something.

And finally, I never said LRG doesn't deliver the games. I said it will take a while for you to get it (aka at least next year).

@Ralizah Even if LRG releases this, it will be many months before you can get it. I'm still waiting for my copy of Panzer Dragoon that I pre-order when the pandemic began lol
Furthermore, OnionGames have already said they don't have any plans for a western physical release (and encouraged people to buy the digital copy).
Don't get me wrong, I do think LRG WILL release this game, it's just going to take ages.

Also, this game has absolutely no JRPG elements. It would be great if people stopped labeling it as an RPG at all.

@Ralizah you may have to wait a long time for that, unless you plan to buy the Japanese physical edition.
Onion Games could really use the digital sales, that way they can both bring more games and maybe work on a western retail edition. It's fairly priced too, at £15.

I liked what I played, but it doesn't seem to be anything more than a mobile game with an interesting story. You basically decide what enemies your little brother has to face, so you have to find a balance between tough/easy enemies and fun/boring. For example, if you keep sending easy enemies, your little brother won't have any problem getting rid of them, but he'll get bored.
It didn't seem like the game is anything more than that mechanic, tho.

The whole "developing an RPG" element reminded me of Dandy Dungeon, which is a more interesting game.

@Quarth the Japanese retail release won't include English language support, as per Onion Games tweet:

Btw, for anyone wondering, this game has absolutely no (typical) RPG elements. There are no battles at all. It's more of an adventure game. You mainly do fetch quests and solve puzzles.
It's still really worth it because of the ambiance, beautiful soundtrack and endearing story.

Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl: Duel #56 - Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door

The Japanese cover is very busy: Mario doesn't stand out against the other characters or the red background (nothing stands out actually); and the composition is also not the best: the Gamecube logo gets more attention that the Paper Mario logo positioned in a tiny font at the very bottom.

However, the japanese cover has one thing the EUR/NA cover doesn't have: BOOBS.

@RPGamer a ton of people worked so hard to have their art get the same level of exposure and didn't make it. That's not how it works. Just because you work hard on something doesn't mean you immediately deserve nothing but praise.
Making games involves a lot of hard work and people (including video game journalists) can ***** on it.

Let's not forget being able to receive both praise AND negative criticism is in itself something to be grateful for. A lot of people can't get neither.

@jump I never said Googling things is the issue. I use Google all the time. But when you do it mindlessly, aka without using your brains, and take the first result as FACT, that's pretty effing dumb.
Not to mention he wasn't surprised (at all) about words such as Hylian, Octorok, Keese and Lizalfos. I would quickly do a Google search on each of those words just to know I'm using them correctly (which would then lead me to find that they are LOZ words).

But yeah, as other people have mentioned, we live in an age where too many people have access to search tools but don't know how to use them, and create facts in fallacious manners.
