I miss the good ol' 3DS days. It was such a great console with an amazing catalogue. Won't ever be forgotten.
Not switch, doesn’t matter.
@RazumikhinPG Agreed and I still play it – no reason to think of it as a bygone thing. To be honest the Switch's first party offerings still have a little way to go to to match the variety and pure fun of titles on 3DS.
@brunojenso That's reasonable since the 3ds was around forever and the Switch isn't half that age yet.
Look good and appreciate any discount but haven't touched my 3ds for over a month.
3DS; the greatest handheld ever (Still use mine).
I use my 3ds more than my Switch now I've got into rpgs this year. Such a great catalogue with Atlus, Fire Emblem etc.
And the Dragon Quest VIII discount is good timing after the release of XI. I've recently picked up a physical copy, or I'd be tempted myself.
My Nintendo Re-tro-wards
@brunojenso,
True, but playing Luigi's mansion 3 on the Switch is just miles ahead in terms of visuals, I just wish Nintendo had have opted for a little more power with the 3DS, and ditched the headache inducing 3D feature.
@johnvboy they did with the release of the 'New' models, and they did with release of 2DS models :-3
@johnvboy Simply turn it off.
@Kalmaro Agreed - but it does mean if you want lots of that 'Nintendo Magic' that the 3DS is still currently the fullest menu of said first-party magic – unless the older visuals are an issue for you.
But give it another year or two and it'll be pretty balanced. I think there is a strong argument that you still need both systems.
@johnvboy LM3 does look stunning. I was a big fan of the 3D - and hated the tread of dumping it in game development in the last couple of years.
Unfortunately we will feel exactly the same about the Switch's power – and sooner. For first party and Indies it's perfect but I'm already sick on very blurry visuals ports in handheld in particular.
@teamdoa,
My point was not too waste money on the feature in the first place.
I hope we get the discount for Dragon Quest VIII in North America
3DS. 3DS. 3DS. 3DS. 3DS. 3DS. 3DS. 3DS
@johnvboy Well, I think the 3D feature is awesome and one of the reasons why I bought the 3DS. It still amazes me how it even works without glasses.
@teamdoa,
Not having a go at the tech, but it's like most 3D that amazes at first, then becomes very tiresome, also the feature would have put off many parents due to the potential risks to younger gamers, of course you can turn the feature off, but can you always trust children to do what's good for them.
@johnvboy There are a few none 3D hardware options as well I believe, granted not at launch, but they are there
Would love to take advantage of these discounts, kinda difficult when I cant use my freakin' debit card to buy anything anymore...
If there's a discount for a game that interests me, I bought it years ago and/or can get a physical copy for the same price or cheaper. Sometimes there's a discount on a VC game I can use, but that's it for me.
Honestly wish we would get as many (and different!) themes as My Nintendo NA does.
The Wario Land discount is particularly enticing to me. I might pick it up.
