Hello, "Day-Old News?" Yeah, I'd like to cancel Nintendo Life's subscription. Yeah. They're going to be giving their business to "Behind the Times." Ok. I love you, too. Bye-bye.
@Damo having said that, I've been visiting this site since the 3DS came out and it's the first time I see an XBOX ad (not an ad for an XBOX game, but for the console itself) on any article here. Coincidentally, it's an article about an XBOX game.
@Obi-Juan I think they have to do more with the content of the page than with my cookies, because I never searched for Xbox stuff and also don't see Xbox ads on the other articles.
@Entrr_username I didn't say it fixes the review-bombing issue. But it's something that makes sense. No one should be able to review games on the same day they come out (except journalists). And it allows actual proper reviews to endure a few days longer during release day, so people can make up their mind without referring to obviously manipulated scores.
@kenyowa So he noticed a mistake and wants to fix it before a potential mass outrage. What's wrong with that? Why is it that people only expect offenses to be removed after they do the offending? If one person told him about his mistake and he wants to remove it from his work, isn't that commendable?
@Blizzia I don't see why you're trying to attack me. I said there's not a lot to spoil in a Paper Mario game, surely no one plays Mario games expecting a LotR type of plot. If someone told you the ending of Mario 64, do you think it would ruin the experience at all? I can't imagine there will be anything in the game that you really can't learn ahead or it will ruin your experience of the game, but I'm happy to be proved wrong. I've had this game pre-ordered since the announcement and am really looking forward to play it. Big Paper Mario fan here, loved Sticker Star and 64. Still know there's nothing revealed in the leaks that's going to make me cancel the pre-order or not want to play the game. You sound easily aggravated.
If this turns out to be true I will be the first one in line to buy it. Hope they don't mess it up with some "download-required" crap like the BioShock retail release.
I loved Isabelle in New Leaf, but her character is absolutely useless and meaningless in New Horizons. Her daily announcements serve no purpose and like, thanks for telling me the time and date Isabelle, but even my refrigerator does that.
Thank the lords, this was so annoying. I've came across them a few times while in Shibuya and it just felt really out of place, not to mention outright dangerous.
@Agramonte so you really can't visualize a concept where Platinum for example buys vouchers from retail shops and gives those vouchers to backers to exchange for the game? I dunno, it seems like you're claiming this is complicated and I don't see how so.
@ROBLOGNICK I appreciate how you solve the issue. It's the same with Amazon JP. Everytime you order from Amazon Japan you pay a tiny fee that means the item won't be stuck at customs and you won't have to pay customs. That's why I normally always buy from Amazon Japan.
@ukaskew fair enough, from all I've learned about custom taxes it's mostly a convoluted antiquated system that feels more like an obstacle to an ever growing global world. It also somehow doesn't apply to digital sales, as the Steam code they sent wasn't subject to import taxes lol
@Agramonte I think you missed the part where I said Platinum would pay for each copy that Game UK ships. They would pay Game, that's how the retailer would be paid. Not sure how this is confusing.
@ukaskew not necessarily a fraud. You backed the project, which doesn't mean you bought a product. It's similar to charity. Receiving a product isn't necessarily what you paid for, as they aren't a shop. So any items you received can technically be considered gifts.
@Agramonte when you bought that Okami album, it was the only way for you to buy it.
This Kickstarter wasn't the only way to buy the game and everyone could have opted to buy (cheaper) retail, without import fees, if they had known better.
Furthermore, Platinum could have paid a UK retailer to ship the copies to UK backers, from within the UK, without having to pay customs fees. They could have made an agreement with Game UK where they would have paid Game UK for each copy of each backer. Simple.
When you think Covid-19 is making international shipping difficult, it makes you think why Platinum decided to add further strain to the system by shipping I don't know how many thousand copies individually from the US to Europe.

The game is done, they're just in talks with Yetee on how else they can screw European fans besides import taxes and incomplete forms.

Yes I can't believe people point out certain articles are late. This is literally the cancer destroying the 21st century. So wow.

@DoktorTotenKopf I did. 5 days ago.

Re: Random: Bloober Team's Mind-Bending The Medium Was Intended For The Wii U Almost A Decade Ago
@Damo can't you choose NOT to have ads from XBOX / Playstation?
Also, if my browsing history includes an article about an xbox game (this one), won't that affect the ads that appear?
Re: Random: Bloober Team's Mind-Bending The Medium Was Intended For The Wii U Almost A Decade Ago

Re: Random: Bloober Team's Mind-Bending The Medium Was Intended For The Wii U Almost A Decade Ago
@Damo I was referring to the ads that show up on the website for this article. They were literally XBOX ads.
Re: Random: Bloober Team's Mind-Bending The Medium Was Intended For The Wii U Almost A Decade Ago
A Nintendo page is advertising Xbox stuff now. Makes sense.

At this point I think the mods should just close this comment section. It's upsetting so many privileged straight cis males and we don't want that.

Personal favourites are Mancala, Yacht Dice, 3 Dots and pretty much any card game (aside from Poker).
