Re: YouTube Has Officially Arrived On Nintendo Switch

Quincy

I use an iPhone... YouTube now being on Switch means that I can finally watch YouTube with headphones and it not be a huge pain in the ass. ...for those who don’t know: iPhones and iPads haven’t had standard audio jacks for a while now.

Re: Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa On Missing Analyst Estimates: “The Holiday Season Battle Begins Now”

Quincy

Not really surprising. ...One of my favorite things to do on a Friday is visit a store and see if there’s any big Nintendo release that’s slipped past me. ...However it feels like it’s been months since there was a big release worth a damn. ...So nothing gets bought. ...Of course I do the odd Eshop purchase but those are often just about $10 and it’s once a week.

Re: Soapbox: Why Do We Want More Games When We've Already Got Too Many?

Quincy

As a kid I’d play games thuroughly. ...But as an adult, My time is too valuable. So, because I love this stuff... I’ve resolved to just get a new game every Friday or so to see what’s new. ...Results in a lot of barely played games (over 40 on Switch so far), but it doesn’t feel bad. It feels good to support the system and developers.

Re: Your Nintendo Switch Cloud Save Files Will Be Lost If Your Online Subscription Expires

Quincy

I’m thinking the cloud save features aren’t really meant to be that big of a deal... just a handy option if you’re traveling and want to be extra safe. - IMO, the real thing Nintendo is after is becoming a sort of Netflix of games. Introduce the service at a great price and see how many people keep the service just based on them having 40 or so extra games to play at anytime.

Re: Opinion: What Did You Think Of Today's Nintendo Direct?

Quincy

I was laughing out loud in delight!

1. Final Fantasy 12 was my favorite (non-tactics) Final Fantasy game. ...The battle system is great.

2. Capcom’s Beat ‘Em Up Bundle... It’s just perfect. It’s what I’ve always wanted but just didn’t know.

3. The price of the online service was really nice too! ...after years of feeling gouged by Microsoft, it’s great to see Nintendo kicking ass and not trying to over-step. Incredibly fair price ($20 a year) and so glad to continue to support them.
