I just put in an order for an imported physical version. Hopefully a physical western release is on its way.

I’ve had the worst luck with stick drift. I’ve replaced at least 4 sticks with standard parts. But when the issue resurfaced last year I purchased Hall effect replacement sticks for 2 of my joy-cons. So far so good 👍

@Ryu_Niiyama I’ve looked into it and as far as I understand, MOST of their remixes have actually been created from scratch. In some cases it might just be the quality of the sound library that’s a bit grating.

@Ryu_Niiyama I believe many of them are the original tracks but manipulated into minor. I think I get the same feeling as you, just not as strong, I can still enjoy them. But there is some kind of strange friction in the sound rubbing me the wrong way.

As far as I understand, Bandai and Nintendo have a pretty tight relationship, with Bandai Namco helping out on multiple Nintendo projects.

I think Splatoon is great. However…

My problem is that I’m just not fast enough. My brain has slowed down during the past years due to a very clingy depression. Gameplay that I previously enjoyed has become stressful for me. I just can’t compete with the teens when playing Smash or Splatoon.

The solo-player parts are fine. There I can take the time I need. But during battles I bog my team down.

Maybe there is a way for me to play more methodically and slow without sinking the team along with me.

It’s really quite frustrating.

I’ve been wanting to play it since I first saw it on one of the GDQ events many years ago

The different sports keep growing on me. I have come to really enjoy both football and volleyball even though my expectations for them was initially low.

It feels like the more I play, the more depth and complexity come to light

I personally vehemently disagree with the review’s verdict. I am truly in love with this game!

Perhaps not as much if I didn’t have access to the online functionality. But as long as you keep that in mind when purchasing the game, there is a lot of good fun to be had here.
