I know it wasn't Game Freak that developed this game, but it's exactly how they behave.
Unlimited TMs gave enormous variety and potential combinations with your Pokémon.

The Pokémon franchise will never evolve as long as Game Freak has control over it, they only know how to make simple games from 20 years in the past. Give it to a better developer like Namco.

If it's released in a completely broken state like Deadly Premonition 2 it's a hard pass.
The first game had it's issues but it pulled through because of its charm, the second one was just bad.

I'm one of the few people that actually prefer the way the game looks right now, apparently.
Before it looked kinda boring and drab, now it looks bright like the Pokémon world should be.

It honestly doesn't look very good. But I'm still glad that Game Freak is trying to do something new with Pokémon. I really hope it's a good game.

@BloodNinja I read your comments and I always have a good laugh, but recently I've noticed that you and others have been censored a lot more frequently.

Nintendo had ridiculously high profits last quarter, of course it was going to dip, especially after the lockdown was over in some countries. And the "disappointment" of the lack of release of a Switch pro probably helped, even though time and time again Nintendo said they weren't going to release it, so disappointment generated from lack of confirmation on false rumors, amazing.

I gotta be honest, without the motion controls I had a blast playing the game. I still don't think it's one of the best Zelda games, but a lot better than my first impression on the Wii.

I know it's supposed to reference 80's box arts, but this is ugly as hell. It does it too well, to the point of being unappealing.

Not criticizing the author of the article because she states at the beginning that not everyone trusts metacritic, but the amount of people that take it seriously shows that they want an arbitrary number to decide what is considered good and that is very sad.

@HeadPirate Well, let me change what I said to something more specific then. The focused space is an issue because of how frequent you traverse through it. That to me is repetitive and a negative. I completely agree with you that a game doesn't need to be longer to be better, and my problem with this game is not the scope, but exactly how long it takes to move forward in the story. I actually thinks this game is too long for what it wants to do.

On a sidenote, no need for the uppercase, chill out.

Push Square's review seems more balanced. This one glossed over a lot of the weak points of the game which to be honest were noticeable in the demo, like the repetitive combat and limited world.

It feels fair considering how much they made for the company last year. If only the western companies had similar behavior....

It's famitsu, they're the most arbitrary reviewers I've ever seen. I trust them as much as those 3 minute reviews on youtube.

I had a good time with Nexomon Extinction but to me releasing the original doesn't make any sense. The sequel does everything the original did, but better.

@AlienigenX I think it's because it's Castlevania and people enjoy the IP.
I love the games, but I found the animation to be average and the story weak.

@Damo You're right! To be honest even I have been harsher than I should in some comments. Let me take this opportunity to thank you guys for taking these comments (including mine) in stride. A lot of people wouldn't have the patience and professionalism you guys have.

@nessisonett every time someone says something criticizing any article here you get extra defensive and half of the arguments in the comment section are you against somebody. I know you're not going to do it, but try to chill and let people have different opinions from yours.

There are some nice elements to the game, but one of the best? Not by a long shot. It's extremely repetitive with the visits to the Temple of the Ocean King that exists only to stretch it's length to something similar to a console Zelda game.

To me it always felt like it was Wind Waker lite. At least Spirit Tracks tried to shift the formula a bit.

I actually feel relieved after reading this article. Even though they are relatively new to the scene they have a lot of experience.

@AbejaGrande The guy lived 100 years ago where unfortunately most white people were incredibly racist. That doesn't justify his behaviour and he was definitely wrong.
But the choice of being celebrated or not is not yours, that falls to the public. Worse people than him have been celebrated and better condemned. If you don't like his work stay away from it, but trying to convince people through agressive confrontation like you did with Noid is not gonna earn you any points.

It should have been released for free on the NES virtual console. But Nintendo couldn't hold itself back from being greedy.

Kratos' voice actor is not Greek so should we change him? No, because he did a good job. The whole point of acting is pretending to be someone you're not.

Amazing story, repetitive gameplay. Considering how restricting the Wii was as a hardware it would be very interesting to see what they're capable of doing on a more powerful hardware.

I knew nothing about this game. I wonder why Nintendo didn't advertise it more since it seems to be a quality game. Nice surprise, nevertheless.
