@shaneoh I get you, about your workplace, totally. I'm in the marine industry, I go round the world fixing boats. And your average boatyard, in whatever country, is full of filthy men who tell filthy jokes and are very un-pc. And it was like that when I got into it, I accept that, but there's still a line. And I'm first to say when I think the line is being crossed. Nobody should ever dread going to work.
@0L1V14 I'd be all over Social Life Simulator. Can I just have my life from a year ago? Go to the pub, go to a gig, travel abroad for work, go digging for records... Ahhhhh what a dream 😀👍
I already had the golf one, got for 80p or so a while back. Reasonable little thing. I just downloaded Jumping Joe and Robonauts, think they look quite decent. I can appreciate a nice simple something to just blitz through. I've really enjoyed a few simple cheap games lately. Goblin Sword, Xeodrifter, Blazing Beaks, Galaxy Champions TV. There are some gems in the cheap section.
I'm all about Cat Quest. Quality game. I thought it might wear thin with me, but I'm still thoroughly charmed by it. I haven't finished the first one yet, but I will definitely get number 2 once I do.
Nice work fella. I reckon I could have a go at something like this, if only I had the time 😒 Hopefully my lass will be into the lego sets, I'm itching to get those.
I grabbed Goblin Sword as it was about £1.60, I liked the look of it and it had reasonable reviews. And I am well addicted to that just now. It isn't sophisticated or too difficult, but it's a great little game to blast through. The boss battles are good fun.
@Milton_Burle yooooo I grabbed steamworld heist too, haven't played it yet but I know it's going to be a winner for me. I'm tempted to get dig and quest too, they all look brilliant. I'm saving it for my travel entertainment.
@WickedUnicarnBoi me neither, but I think I like the look of this best out of all the 1 on 1 fighting games available. Or that Under Night In Birth. I'll pick up one of those eventually.
@Bunkerneath I watched nearly all of it, my missus quite enjoyed it, but I thought it was corny as hell. Even series 4. You ain't missing much tbh pal.
Everyone should be able to play at a difficulty level they enjoy. Some of you enjoy super hard, great, good for you. I think if you can complete a game on the super hard level you should get a bonus cut scene, bonus levels, or whatever, fair play to you. Not everyone can play to that level. And it ain't just about getting good. I'd love to, but I really can't. I have horrendous arthritis in my hands, I can't play anything rigorous like cuphead for more than one hour. I bought cuphead, and I love it, but usually I can only complete a couple of levels max (and die a whole bunch of times, of course), before I have to give it a rest. The sides of my hands go numb and I have to cool off for at least 30 minutes. Most people are better at games than me, and I'm totally cool with that. But I pay my hard earned money fair and square same as anyone, why should I be limited to a few gentle games? I want the same mad game experiences as other people. I don't understand the thinking of this is how I enjoy this, so this is how it should be, I don't care who is excluded. How selfish is that?
I'm getting into Outlast, got it at the nice price, enjoying it so far, never had it first time around. Got a few more banged onto the backlog, Steamworld Heist, Pinstripe, Goblin Sword, Crypt of The Necrodancer, Anodyne, Downwell, maybe a few others, I forget. My backlog actually excites me and I look upon it with pride. I'll get stuck into those when I finally get back to travelling with work. It's very reassuring to know I have hundreds of hours of entertainment lined up, wherever I go.
@TG16_IS_BAE funny you say that, I find him a bit too intense as well, and he seems to have a bad ear for a beat. He's done great though, carved himself out a real cult following.
@TG16_IS_BAE meaningful rap is still out there, you just have to search it out nowadays. Add-2, Oddisee, Raw Poetic, Priest Da Nomad, Professor P and Akiles, Choosey and Exile, Dr Syntax... They're probably the guys I listen to the most, they all have interesting things to say.
@DoktorTotenKopf it's an extension of the hobby for me, I play snooker and football in real life, and enjoy the video game too. Scotland will never win the world Cup, but they have on my fifa. I'll never hit 6 under at St Andrews, but I can rock with anyone on PGA. We're still in the realms of fantasy. I've heard this before, and I think it's really weird, I never say to anyone why do you play GTA? You know you can be a criminal in real life?
Looks cool and I'm interested, but if I'm going to pick up a retro number then Blazing Chrome, Sunset Riders and Huntdown are all getting the nod ahead of this tbh.
I finished Golf Story, but I'm saving the quality games in the backlog for when I get traveling with work again. In the meantime, I picked up Galaxy Champions TV for about £1.30, just using eshop points. I loved Smash TV when I was a kid, so it instantly got my attention, and man I am hooked. It's such a good little game, meaty weapons, frantic action. Absolute bargain.
Zombies Ruined My Day looks alright. Like, it ain't going to blow your mind or anything, but looks decent enough for a bit of mindless mayhem. And quite funny. And hey, it's £3.

What happened to West Of Dead? I really liked the look of that, all gone a bit quiet.

@Zochmenos aye, but it's one on one at any time in the game right?

I don't think so. The next £40+ game I get will be Dragon Quest XI. and I have loads on my wish list that tickle my fancy way more.
Looks cool, I hope everyone enjoys it, it just hasn't got me as excited as I thought it would.
