You'll be able to take your anime-style football gameplay online when Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions launches next month, as shown in this brand new trailer.
We're only a month-or-so away now from this fresh Captain Tsubasa experience on Switch, so it makes sense that Bandai Namco would want to show off each and every aspect of the game. If you missed it, it wasn't that long ago that we were checking out the game's story mode trailer - which came with plenty of details, too.
As for today's news, make sure to check out the new video above, and give this official description a read:
Build your dream team and take over the global stage in the online division matches of Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions! 1 vs 1 and 2 vs 2 Online Versus will also be available to tackle players from all over the world.
You might have noticed a whole range of physical goodies that'll be available to buy at the end of the trailer. There's a collector's box, steelbook, plenty of DLC, and even a 28cm figure of Tsubasa Ozora himself.
The game launches on 28th August. Will you be scoring a copy?

Nice. Looks great! This is on my Switch list with Fairy Tail
Day 1 for me. So happy it is coming West, need to send cash their way.
seen the treasure pack clip. seriously lets guess loot box time again.
I love football but I just ain't feeling this at all
I mean, I grew up with the anime and the old turn-based videogame. So the nostalgia is strong with this one. And they got the look just right!
I'm just concerned about how interesting the arcade gameplay is going to be. I don't think arcade gameplay means the experience can't be deep and rewarding. (Just look at Rocket League or Desert Golfing.) But sports games get old fast if the mechanics are shallow and the skill ceiling is low.
As someone with only a passing interest in football (I enjoy a kick around with my mates but don’t really follow it) this looks a shed load more appealing than another FIFA game.
i'm excited. Not a sports gamer, but anime + sports is winning formula in my book (*watches Haikyu, Kuroko no baske, Dear Boys, etc. )
Why have I not heard of this series before? Looks great!
Poor Level-5 took so long with developing Inazuma Eleven for Switch than Bandai Namco swoops in with their own rad-looking anime football game
