The sad thing is, it appears Nintendo doesn't bother to go into their vaults, and get the documentation for their retro hardware, assuming they actually do keep hardware documentation.
@Dragmire Super Show was in 89, and on Friday it was replaced with The Legend Of Zelda. DIC Animation created Super Show, The Legend Of Zelda, The Adventures Of Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario World, and Captain N: The Videogame Master.
It's always a good idea for creators to teach various methods of how to approach creative projects, rather than "do, and think exactly as I do". It's also wise to take input from every team member.
Everyone has their favorite game, and those usually are still favorite, or at least, beloved, years down the line. For example, Super Mario Bros. 3 is my favorite. October of next year will be 35 years, since the game released in Japan. (We had to wait until February 1990 for it.) Miyamoto is a good creator. No person is a perfect creator. Miyamoto's stuff is usually very good.
While I would be content to have a more powerful, backwards compatible machine, opinion-wise I'm with Ryu_Niiyama, Ravenmaster, and others. Hardware co.s are constantly experimenting, and developing new hardware. Nintendo was working on the N64, even during the development of the SNES, if I read correctly. The minute one console hits the shelves, the co. is already working on the successor.
We are well past Covid-19, so that co.s have had time to mostly bounce back into their pre-Covid-19 groove. The Switch is a wonderful machine. It is also 5 1/2 yrs old. The average lifespan of a Nintendo console being Nintendo's current machine is roughly 5yrs. Sometimes 6, and others 4. The WU died a year early, because Nintendo wasn't supporting it, as they should have.
I suspect that Nintendo will announce new hardware sometime next year, or the following. I could be wrong, and Nintendo try to stretch Switch to similar years, as the 3DS.
Edit: It always seems that, since the GameCube, Zelda titles always come at the beginning, and/or at the end of the console lifespan.
@Nintendo4Sonic Uploading screenshots is still possible this way. It requires a website having a basic file upload feature, and you can upload whatever is on the Gamepad, or other screen.
I agree with various commenters, that the issue TPCI probably had is loose association with roms/mods, the misconception of what nuzlocke is, and like Wexter said, the loose idea of "killing" pokemon.
Also, one thing I notice a pattern for Kit, & Krysta. They were more in-tune with the fan communities, than approaching things from the official/corporate angle. I'm going to assume that most of these mishaps they had at Nintendo were mostly regular, everyday job hurdles. The Smash Bros. example, and this one prove on-the-job miscommunication is a hurdle with Nintendo, and specifically between Nintendo, and them while they were employed there. The counter point is that they could, and to some degree (sometimes small, sometimes large) likely are, embellishing these accounts of things that happened. They can only talk about so much, because they were only employees of Nintendo for an amount of time.
Both are good. The NA/Eu one is my preference, specifically NA. One of my favorite armors, aesthetically, and functionally, is the Light/First armor. The Eu has a smaller image. The Jp one is also good, though the only parts I like of that one are X, and Zero.
I love how the early X designs were essentially a teenaged Rockman/MegaMan. I love the Rm/MM 7, & X(1) art styles very much. In that regard, I also love the rosey-cheeked X on the NA/Eu box art, since it looks so close to how Rock was drawn on the NA box art for MegaMan 3-7.
I think it's a combo (pun entirely intended) of what many here have commented, such as Rosalinho talking Nintendo having an easy low-bar entry to some of their titles like Smash, and Splatoon, and mostly everyone else mentioning all the fighting game scene scandals, especially Smash. Nintendo definitely doesn't want that association. That's why they do their own, controlled competitions.
@PigmaskFan I just want Nintendo to put those titles on their service. I'm fairly sure they have archived the voice acting, and could easily piece together those titles to play similarly to how they did during the original live, and repeat broadcasts.
@Yosher No, I think Nintendo themselves haven't released any official Satellaview titles. You're correct. I think Square-Enix recently released one of their Satellaview titles, though I'm not sure.
I would love the Satellaview titles to be officially released.
@Yosher After we got Tetris Attack, Nintendo eventually re-released it on the Satellaview service for SNES in Japan, minus the Tetris name. If my information is correct, Nintendo could give us that.
I would also say there is no reason to withhold it. Many NES, & SNES titles have "special editions" on NSO, so it's not like Nintendo has difficulty releasing duplicates.
I agree that you can turn almost anything into swearing via phrasing. This is the kind of list that only gets larger through time.
I also agree that non-swearing words, and/or phrases containing combinations that could be interpreted as swearing, should be given a pass. Otherwise, certain legitimate words, and phrases can never be used. Nintendo likely wouldn't do this, because it would require complicated programming to take into account context of words, and phrases. (Edit: Also, said programming would inevitably be figured out, and people would be circumventing it.) An alternative would be have a person review each case, and decide if it was intentional swearing, or not. That, would require an extra paycheck, and I doubt Nintendo would go that route. Nintendo's perspective is to just target any, and all cases of certain words, and phrases
@NinChocolate I agree with you there, too. I'm a perfect example. I'm going to get this collection, if I can physically. If Sega confirms no physical, I'll purchase the download.
@NinChocolate I agree. I get the feeling Sega wanted this to be a budget production. Maybe I'm wrong, though Sega deciding to make Sonic Origins digital for now, and maybe permanently, gives me the impression that they aren't fully confident in it. Again, I could be wrong.
@NinChocolate I agree that it's likely Sega doesn't want to pay the royalty fee, and/or they didn't think the Sonic Origins package will make enough profit to justify paying for those royalties.
Hopefully, a physical release will happen. Does Sega really have faith in this compilation, or are they double-dipping? I suspect it's the latter. I'll possibly wait for physical, though if Sega makes it clear there won't be, I'll download it.
@gaga64 To my knowledge, the Mega Collection used the original music, at least for Ice Cap Zone. Edit: I didn't own the original hardware, or games. I do know that Ice Cap Zone used the original music.
This was likely as the games in this collection are essentially the Android/IOS versions, not exact emulations of the roms. I'm still getting this. S3&K is my favorite of the Genesis titles. I just want a physical release.
@OnlyItsMeReid I remember that during the GameCube era, a handful of titles did this on the boxart. The North American Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, and Mario Power Tennis both have tan-ish sunburst-like logos that read, "Best Seller".
I thought Little Nemo was going to be a remake of the Capcom NES title. It still looks... ok. I'll wait, and see.
Usually, I'm not into most Indie games, because they are not my definition fun, and in addition to that, many are one-and-done titles. For example, I like the original Shantae; it was a good game. Additionally, it became a series of good games.
Edit: Actually, speaking of, NLife might have already mentioned this: until the 16th of the month, many games are on sale, presumably for what would be E3, and the 5 Shantae series titles are on sale.
Both KOTOR titles are phenomenal. I'm glad Aspyr has been porting older SW titles, even if they are not canon. Edit: I mean to say that I am glad Aspyr is porting SW titles, because most of them contradict modern canon, and Disney can get awkward on that.
Hopefully, their next ports will be Dark Forces, Jedi Knight: DFII, and its expansion pack, Mysteries Of The Sith. These games are the predecessors in the series that Aspyr has already released Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, and its sequel, Jedi Academy. I also hope Aspyr ports the Rougue Squadron series by Factor5.
I've been wondering what Nintendo will do in the absence of E3?
I might jump on the Exp. Pack if GB is added. I would love it if they properly emulate Super GameBoy functionality. Remember, the SGB was capable of dynamic color palettes, enhanced color palettes, enhanced music, enhanced sound effects, even full 16-bit gaming, dynamic borders, and other things. Good examples of titles that used the features I'm referring to: Donkey Kong ('94), Game & Watch Gallery 1/2, Space Invaders.
Also, don't know if NLife already had an article about this, Shantae titles are on sale until a little later this month. I forget the exact date.
Neat design. I know the article mentioned this is a mock-up. The thing is, real diy console chassis designs sometimes cause a console to overheat, short-out, and/or cause a fire. Otherwise, a lot of real chassis designs are really cool.
People who don't know there's apparently another game in this series will immediately assume it's a crude sexual reference at the trailer beggining. To be honest, that's what I thought, because I didn't previously know there was another game in this series. I'm sure the reference was intentional as a double entendre, and that's low class.
The game itself does indeed look like WarioLand. However, indie games are not always great. Some are mediocre, while others are poor quality efforts. A lot of indie titles are just one-offs, as opposed to a series.
I wish Sonic Mania would receive an update to address the Time Attack records overflow glitch. On the upside, the programmers were wise enough to add instant access codes to unlock features. This is useful for when you encounter the glitch, as the only way to solve the glitch is to erase your entire save file, including in the save cloud.
As for how they probably found some bugs, the same way most people play with, and break the game: by combing through the game code, and looking for faulty, or exploitable segments of code. This is also how people break games for speed runs, and "tool-assisted" runs through games.
I'm glad Aspyr is proactive about fixing glitches. It does need to be remembered, that this port just released recently. It stands to reason they would be on top of glitches just a bit of time after release.

@Nintendo4Sonic As SMW said, any html website that supports basic file uploading.
For example, as recent as this year, I've been using my WU, and I have frequently used the image upload features.
@Serpenterror I thought Nintendo included the Switch in this, too, though I believe it's only for 3DS/WU
