Funny this article came out I just started this quest one day earlier. I obviously didn't go past the parts I've already completed, so not sure why other people can't limit themselves from scrolling through articles or clicking links.
I have the download Wii U version and I've only seen noticeable frame dips during once instance the rest was smooth. Not sure if there is a difference between having it on the HDD or having a physical copy.
@FelixTheMagician Yea I figured as much, I was more concerned about the overall RPG elements. After a while GTA just becomes highly repetitive, with nothing to do other than to mess about.
Usually with Zelda you always have some objective, whether main or side, to complete.
@naut I guessing that the fact that you never know how hard your going to get hit, if you'll get knocked down onto a rock, and take environmental damage would be have to be considered.
There was a video a few weeks back, that showed Link taking initial damage from an enemy, or explosion (can't recall which), but as he was sliding across the rocky terrain there was extra damage taken just from that also.
@ThomasBW84 Thanks for the quick reply. I wasn't sure how I would like a Zelda game being GTA-esque, but it sounds like much of what makes this series shine is very much intact.
@thomasbw84 I've never really played much of Zelda, i.e. never gotten too far through of any of them I have played. Aside from the obvious "modern" open world aspect, does it stay pretty traditional to its roots?
@SirRandall How is it an overreaction? @SLIGEACH_EIRE Has a legitimate point. I shouldn't have to rely on my tech savvy in order to enjoy something. Most of the people Nintendo is trying to attract aren't looking to buy something that eventually turns into a DIY project. Its a potential flaw, costs of the replacement service should stated since they obviously made a point to mention it two weeks after its reveal.
@Ichi-Tan Not that it changes much, but they are wooden bokken not just sticks. Most animations make it look questionable but others move you can definitely tell its not just some lazy stick image.
@Andrzej777 Its definitely fun, my daughter's interest got me hooked. The 3D on this game is so well done, it makes me actually want to use the feature all the time. Definitely going to be picking both of these up when it comes out in the EU
@JaxonH I meant life support as far as story and gameplay. Not monetary wise. The reason these games keep churning out so frequently is solely because of that.
Don't add something to the post I never said. Not sure where you got I didn't like them from. AC 3 and 4 were good in my book, they actually introduced something new to the series. I'd rather see something go out gracefully than become a shell of its former self.
EU gets the shaft on super late games, but we get spoiled with consoles, which I suppose is a good trade off, as we do get the games eventually (I'm looking at you Yo-Kai Watch 2, Dragon Ball Fusions, and others >.>)

Re: The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Runs Better In Switch's Portable Mode
@gaga64 I've had no issues so far in open world parts. I've noticed one instance of frame rate dip that lasted for maybe 2 seconds.
Even with 5 enemies at a time there it ran like a dream (digital version btw).
Re: You Can Earn My Nintendo Gold Points on Nintendo Switch Physical Retail Copies
@SLIGEACH_EIRE We're used to it by now. Enjoy BoTW!

Re: Video: New Nintendo Switch Advert Shows Off Its Number Two Feature
I said it before. I'm not going to touch anyone's switch console.
We knew this is where most people are going to play it.

Re: Kerbal Space Program Developer Reevaluating Proposed Wii U Port

Re: Video: Let's See How Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World's Graphics Stand Up Compared to its Wii U Counterpart
Wow I'm impressed. Think this, Monster Hunter Stories and a few other games are truly breathtaking to behold considering the 3DS's hardware.

Think I'm gonna double down on 3DS, and Wii U Breath of the Wild this year.

The best news is that Zelda is on the Wii U on March 3rd...the little console that could comes through again.
Re: Soapbox: The Nintendo Switch's Final Specs Don't Matter
Nintendo's motto: "Quality over Quantity."
Re: Review: Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King (3DS)
@chiptoon 71-120 hours depending. So still pretty lengthy like all good RPGs should be.
Re: Hackers Apparently Add Additional Games to NES Mini
Since you can easily hack the Wii, WII U, and 3DS there is no room left for being surprised.
Re: Nintendo Treehouse to Provide 'In-Depth Look' at Nintendo Switch Games on 13th January
@PlywoodStick So we have proof of Reggie's murderous rage, documented no less....we're all ok with this?
Re: EB Games Listing Includes Mario Kart 8 and Skyrim for Switch
@MadameSpuki Why thank you, Kirby thought his moves were a bii too early 90s so he updated them to the mid 90s.

This click bait doesn't appeal to my palate...
Re: Activision's Amazing Spider-Man Games Make A Sharp Exit From The Wii U eShop
@A01 Not from systems, but from the "eshop", so the quip about digital games has no bearing.
Re: CoroCoro Magazine Reportedly Pegs The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild for Spring Release
@Jimmy_G_Buckets The guy who came up with the article already stated he was trolling, and it was fake.

You sir, are a poet.

Assassins Creed, and Call of Duty both need to be taken off life support already...let these two series die, before we get an awful CoD movie as well.
Edit: Too late
