Re: Poll: No, Really, What Was Nintendo's Worst Year?

Nic-Noc20th-C

Although 2015 was pretty bad if you were a nintendo fan this year has been pretty disappointing.
Considering nintendo only have to code for one machine now and they hsve gathered most teams in 2 buildings their output is underwhelming.
They seem to refuse to listen to the fans of franchises other than Zelda, Mario and Kirby. I know there are hundreds of titles available but there is so much shovelware on the eshop!
Been thinking about this for almost a year now and decided to stop wasting time and money on mediocre titles and bought an Xbox one S at the weekend.
Wow I was stunned by the quality of titles available. Game pass and live makes nintendo online look a joke.
I have supported nintendo through thick and thin since 1998. Fantastic titles throughout that time till now.
I'm still hoping to support nintendo but they need to pull their socks up or they will find themselves back in 2015 as soon as their revival in 2017.

Re: Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition Launches In Japan This August

This was my fav gamecube title. Love the series and soundtracks so much I bought all the cds. I need a little more information on the remastered title though before purchasing. There seems to be so many remasters these days and sometimes I feel a little disappointed when its just enhanced graphics with no extras.

However for all you who perhaps weren't around the first time I absolutely recommend the first rate title. It's not Final Fantasy it's Chronicles. It's a great series!

I hope this is successful enough for Square-Enix to remaster the ds and wii titles. They would be day one purchases for me. A chance to play on the tv would be reason enough.

Unlike the wii U or even the 3ds sections of eshop competition is huge on nintendo switch. So many titles, so much choice every week. Games released almost on a daily basis there is a massive choice of genres available.

I wish him every success with his latest venture as it must very difficult to stand out amongst all the mediocre titles and constant sales.

Most genres are covered but there are still gaps here and there. A decent / fantasy golf sim for example.

If you could fill that spot please that'll be sweet! Mudd Golf anyone?

Re: Sega Open To Reviving Sonic's 1993 Arcade Game, But Needs Your Support

'The game was also a Japanese exclusive'.?

Pretty sure I played this many years ago in SEGA world Bournemouth. It is possible to play via emulation today but not ideal as you need the track ball.

I'd prefer more titles from model 1/2/3 e.g.. Wing War, Virtua Fighter, sega Rally etc. Or even a SEGA mega drive classics volume 2 or another console collection.

Keep em coming Sega.

@jwfurness
I totally agree with your comment. Years ago nintendo were knocking out titles left, right and centre on a monthly basis for multiple consoles?! Now with one main console they should be doing better than this.
However with the current situation I do understand that was possibly the going to be a larger showcase than the one broadcast.

Looking forward to Burnout, Clubhouse Games and my copy of Animal Crossing which is stuck in the post system somewhere in the uk.

Re: Review: Sports Party - A Wii Sports-Style Social Experience That Sadly Lacks Depth

I was looking forward to this game hoping to finally have a golf sim on Switch. Really disappointing controls, lack of courses and characters seem lifeless.

This could of been so much more if a little more effort and time were spent on it.

Go Vacation is fantastic fun but only has mini golf. The Switch is really missing Mario Golf.
Anybody know if A version of Pangya is on the cards for switch? That would be a dream come true for me along with Advance Wars.
