You know, i almost bought the new Prince of Persia on Release Day, but right before that, someone at Ubisoft told me, how i should get comfterable with not owning my Games.
I'm just one of the many Sales they've lost at that Moment.
I'm a huge Kirby Fan, but gotta be honest, i don't really like any of these Box Arts that much. The Box Art of this Games DS Remake easily tops all of them.
The Japanese one is like: "Whoops, this is a Mario VS. Donkey Kong Game and DK is not even on the Box Art. Screw it, just throw him in the upright Corner and make him barely noticable"
The US/EU Box Art shows much better, what the Game is about.
At first i was like "Hey, that looks pretty neat!"
But i rather pop in the TMNT Cowabunga Collection if i need my Turtles Arcade Fix. This Quarter Arcade would take up to much room and is rather expensive
I loved Scott Pilgrim Vs The World: The Game, which was inspired by River City Ransom a lot.
When River City Ransome was available on 3DS Virtual Console my best Friend and i bought it and played through the whole Game together. It was a lot of Fun.
Sweet. I guess the japanese Trilogy Pack will also contain English Text, since every previous individual Release on the japanese eShop was playable in Japanese and English.
@BowtieShyGuy @RupeeClock I'm aware of the spending limit. Team Kirby Clash Deluxe did pretty much the same thing.
The difference for me was, i got the physical Version of Pokémon Rumble World for 15€, around 2-3 Months later. Free to Play or not, i think World was decent for the most part, but it pales compared to Pokémon Rumble Blast, which you could also get rather cheap at that time.
Pokémon Rumble Rush on Mobile was a far bigger disappointment. The Gameplay war really gimped down to work on Smartphones and they added far to many microtransactions.
Only the first two Pokémon Rumble Games really mattered to me. The first Game on WiiWare was a blast in Multiplayer, since everyone could understand the Gameplay immediately. There wasn't much substance, but it was fun in short bursts.
The secend Game on 3DS had a much stronger Focus on Single Player and added a lot off stuff, that made it well suited for Handheld Gaming.
Pokémon Rumble U was okay, but got dull really fast, because every Level was just a small Arena. Surprisingly Pokémon Rumble World wasn't that bad, if you're playing the Retail Version. Free to Play doesn't really work for this Series and pretty much killed it, in my opinion.
I would love to play a new Pokémon Rumble Game, that would expand on the Ideas of the first two Games.
@Nephstinus There are some workarounds though. You can disable some graphic effects to make the game run more around 30fps. It's still far from optimal, but i think it makes a big difference.
The fact that Space Invaders 95 and Space Invaders Extreme 2 aren't included in this Collection still makes me sad.
I also don't like how Taito is handeling their Retro Collections on Switch so far. They offer very litte Content and for additional Games you need to buy overpriced Special Editions.
I would love to see a new Shooter in the Style of Parodius.
It feels like we're only getting vertical Bullet Hell Shooters these Days and they all look so bland and generic by now.
Because i'm german we have mostly different Pokémon Names, but some of them are the same.
There was always a debate about how some Pokémon Names are pronounced and you couldn't even trust the german dub from the Pokémon Anime for this.
@Dakotastomp Even though Rise of Lyric was rather terrible i think Shattered Crystal was alright and Fire & Ice is pretty good.
I also enjoyed the TV Series a lot.
They should also include Sonic from the Sonic Boom Universe. Just imagine him constantly spewing out annoying one-liners every time he collects something, jumps or falls of the edge.
@brunojenso Some people just prefer clicky D-Pads to soft ones and vise versa. That's nothing out of the ordinary. I just prefer D-Pads more in line with those on 3DS, PS Vita and Xbox One.
I'm fine with soft D-Pads, but there are so many better alternatives on Switch compared to the Pro Controller.
@OorWullie I don't even use the Pro Controller anymore when navigating the eShop because the D-Pad seems to have a mind of its own.
Most Systems in the 3DS Family had very reliable D-Pads, so i don't get why they constantly screw it up with their Home Consoles recently. It's hard to believe now that Nintendo basically invented the D-Pad in the past.
I also think the original Switch Pro Controller has a rather terrible D-pad. It's fine for for some Games that only require you to walk left and right, but playing something like Celeste or Tetris 99 with this Controller is a real Nightmare.
I have a soft spot for The Legend of Kage, but i think Hamster should release more Arcade Games from the mid 90s that aren't Neo Geo related. Almost all Games they release are from the 80s and more variety would be nice.
@DK-Fan I wasn't against the idea to swap the original characters with Yoshi and Friends to make the Game more interresting for Players outside of Japan, but calling it Tetris Attack brought more Problems than Benefits at the end.
Nintendo can't even rerelease the SNES Version without removing any mention of Tetris.
I really miss Panel de Pon.
If Nintendo didn't call the first Game Tetris Attack outside of Japan it sure would've been easier to market future releases.
Puzzle League itself isn't really a good Name for these Games. It only made sense in Pokémon Puzzle League because the Game took place in a Pokémon League Environment.
Looks and plays like a bad early PS2 Game. The delayed controls absolutely killed this Game for me. Back to Contra Anniversary Collection and Contra 4.
I wish Reviewers would be that upset about Games containing Micro Transactions and Loot Boxes. Maybe then Games like NBA 2K20 wouldn't get a 9/10 Score they clearly don't deserve.
@scully1888 Okay, fair enough. I still think having Online Multiplayer is a Pro rather than a Con. Even if you can't find someone for a random match, there is always the possibility to play with Friends online (If it works without much lag).
I understand some of the complains in this Review, but how is "likely to be an online wasteland within weeks" a valid Con?
I don't think Reviews are supposed to predict the Future and base their Score on that.
Well, maybe you should've done that in your Crash Team Racing Review instead.
I like some funny translation errors, but this is rather sad considering how expensive this Collection is. The German Version of Shantae Half Genie Hero had some weird errors in its translation as well until it got patched. If you're looking for a really broken german translation you should take a look at Salt & Sanctuary, it's really hilarious.
Hey Nintendolife, you know there are other Pokémon Games beside the Main ones, right? You should make a Best of List about them to, instead of rehashing this Article again and again.
@Mykillvee I had high hopes for the Space Invaders Collection on Switch, but it feels very half baked. I also hoped Space Invaders 95 and a HD Version of Space Invaders Extreme 2 would be included, but that's sadly not the case.

The Japanese one is like:

Re: Poll: Are You Finding Sonic Origins' Various Editions And DLC Packs Confusing?
It's not that confusing, but absolutely stupid.
Stuff like this doesn't belong in Retro Collections.
Re: Blaster Master Zero: MetaFight Chronicle Brings All Three Games Together In One Package
Sweet. I guess the japanese Trilogy Pack will also contain English Text, since every previous individual Release on the japanese eShop was playable in Japanese and English.
I'm definetly gonna buy it, if that's the case.

Re: Limited Run Hopes To Do "A Few More" 3DS Releases If Atooi's Physical Collection Is Successful
Kinda forgot about that. I still wonder why they even bother with this, unless they also release european Cartridges or make them Region Free.
I still love the 3DS and seeing a couple more Retail Games on it would be cool, but i think that's not how it should be done.
Not to mention that i kinda don't like Limited Run Games anyway, but that has nothing to do with this Release.
Re: Review: Pop'n TwinBee - Konami's Colourful 16-Bit Shmup Shines With Couple Mode Co-op

Totodile until the end of time.

Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl #15 - Super Mario Bros.
I prefer the european and japanese Box Art. It still kinda weirds me out Mario is about to die in a lava pit in the US Version.
Re: Nintendo Finally Hints That It Has Ditched Game Development On The 3DS
Now is the best time to pick up some 3DS Games you didn't get before. Many Titles are really cheap now.
