I've been so good so far this year avoiding the sales but I'm getting weaker. Tempted by so much. That said, I'll spend my time on Children of Morta which I've almost hit 20 hours on. Loving the stories of the Bergsons.
I finished Celeste on the week - bloody wonderful. Now need to go back to something else I've started but not finished whilst also playing some Rocket League, Overwatch and Witcher 3
I can’t justify paying for ps+ and switch online, so this is perfect to go with Tetris, Splatoon, Rocket League and MK8.
We’re a one tv household so the switch has essentially taken over from the PS4 as my primary console anyway. At least until my daughters are in bed anyway (which is getting late these days)
Metro 2033 was easily one of my favourites of last gen. Sure, the combat was clunky but the rest of the game was incredible. I wouldn't argue that it's a better game than Bioshock, but I certainly preferred it.
Ori and the goose were sufficient for me. Still don’t see the appeal of Links Awakening after a game like BotW (I may be old but my first Nintendo console was the DS. I get nostalgic about Penny Racers and the ZX Spectrum not old Nintendo games)
Had to go back to a previous save in FE after a monumental c0ck up. Starting to feel like the end can't come soon enough so I can get stuck into Astral Chain.
UGG (honk) here and there.
Slay the Spire. Well over 50 hours now and my goty. Probably an all time favourite now too.
Honk! Probably Sayonara Wild Hearts too. Zero interest in anything else this week. I’ve had my fill of realistic racers over the years so no Grid, and Zelda doesn’t appeal at all (though I love the art style).

Have all the ones I need on Switch/Vita/ipad. Phew!
Re: Nintendo Reveals The Top 15 Most-Downloaded Switch Games In December 2019 (Europe)
Less than £12 in the sale made it the cheapest Mario branded game over Christmas. I'm not surprised. All those new Switch owners after new games...

Children of Morta, Diablo 3 seasons, and the usual run based stuff.
Re: Want More Free Switch Games? Bury Me, My Love Is Free If You Own Any Plug In Digital Game
Picked this up last week when I noticed it was free. I'd previously bought Steredenn.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (December 7th)
@Gs69 not a lot. I'm not big on shooters and I've lost access since my PS+ expired.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (December 7th)
Vita for me. All this games of the decade talk has me wanting to play through Fez again.
WHAT. A. GAME.
I'll play some Spelunky too while I'm at it.
Re: Review: Assassin's Creed: The Rebel Collection - A Pair Of Brilliant Seafaring Adventures, And More Besides
Glad it's turned out well. Had the 360 version of Black Flag but barely touched it. Handheld AC incoming!

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (November 30th)
I'll be playing Rocket League when I fail to make a decision of what story based game to play.
Re: Deals: Black Friday Madness Means Cheap Micro SD Cards For Your Switch
My 128 needs constant management, so the 200 looks appealing.
Re: Over 150 Switch Games Discounted In Nintendo Cyber Deals Sale (Europe)
@Moistnado not sure what you mean. UK prices are inclusive of VAT, you don’t need to add it on top like you do in the US.
Re: Nintendo Download: 21st November (Europe)
I’m desperate to see the games on sale! Check back later? Argh!
Re: Grab A Bargain In The Switch eShop Cyber Deals Sale Starting This Friday (Europe)
Super! I’ve got £60 worth of eshop credit I picked up from cd keys for £52 - was going to buy some games from the current sale but now I’ll hold off
Re: Random: Pokémon Sword And Shield's Ending Has A Pretty Embarrassing Mistake
@Eel I’ve clearly missed that one then!
Re: Random: Pokémon Sword And Shield's Ending Has A Pretty Embarrassing Mistake
Next article will be on the Metacritic review bombing. I have no interest in the game itself, I just find the fallout fascinating.
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl #17 - Ninja Gaiden
My word, they’re all awful. I’ll abstain from a vote this week.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (November 16th)
The usual - Slay the spire, Isaac, Rocket League... But I’m also in the mood for getting back to things I’ve started and actually finish them

Sooner than I'd hoped actually. Sounds right up my alley.
Re: Review: Mistover - A Dungeon-Crawling RPG That's Over-Encumbered With Punitive Mechanics
I love a good grind but only when the mechanics click for me. Doesn't sound like one for me...
Re: The Outer Worlds Won't Be Released On Switch Until Next Year
If it's not a decent port, the PS4 version should be somewhat cheaper by then so I'll grab that instead.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (October 26th)
I finished Celeste on the week - bloody wonderful. Now need to go back to something else I've started but not finished whilst also playing some Rocket League, Overwatch and Witcher 3

I played on the loo. Try telling me now that it’s hardly the best way to play! #tmi

@Skalgrim cheers! I was watching a Kotaku video and they were struggling against the AI!

Re: Adorable Co-Op RPG Cat Quest II Pounces Onto Switch Later This Month
Will pick it up. More for my youngest than for me - she's on NG+ on the first one; I've literally just started it.

More Rocket League and Slay the Spire. Naturally.

Why not. Hack & Slash combat, Zelda-like dungeons, great loot... What's not to like?

Had to go back to a previous save in FE after a monumental c0ck up. Starting to feel like the end can't come soon enough so I can get stuck into Astral Chain.
UGG (honk) here and there.
Slay the Spire. Well over 50 hours now and my goty. Probably an all time favourite now too.
Re: Review: Untitled Goose Game - Short But Most Definitely Sweet
Been playing it with a permanent smile on my face
Re: Untitled Goose Game Is Out Now, And You Can Buy It Cheap For A Limited Time
Honk! Probably Sayonara Wild Hearts too. Zero interest in anything else this week. I’ve had my fill of realistic racers over the years so no Grid, and Zelda doesn’t appeal at all (though I love the art style).
Re: Reminder: Bandai Namco's Switch Sale Ends Today, Up To 50% Off Top Games (Europe)
To buy Vesperia or to save the funds for x, y or z? Tempted, but so much coming out now I'm not sure I can justify it.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (September 14th)
40 hours in on FE now. Probably still got a fair way to go! Some Slay the Spire too (my goty so far).
Very very tempted to pick up Divinity, but Witcher 3 is not far off.

@k8sMum sorry for your loss. Video games can be a great distraction at difficult times
Re: Someone Has Finally Found The Play Time Counter Limit On Nintendo Switch
Never going to hit it but yes, bothers me. Bothers me it only does five hour chunks too.
