Re: Super Mario Maker 2 Confirmed For Switch, Launches This June

MrVariant

@adam9431 lol you double down claiming I am entitled rather than go play rpg maker (even fes has online sharing and it's on 3ds). I have better options. There's also ren'ai for visual novels as well. Nintendo isn't a grandmaster at this and you know it. I don't trust them after the 3ds debacle which lacked online sharing, just like excitebike.

Keep defending their limitations/stubbornness and giving Nintendo your money only to get pissed off repeatedly in BDSM fashion.

Re: Nintendo Is Already Taking The Necessary Steps To Combat Video Game Addiction

MrVariant

@ELRinley nah, pay to win lol nobody is telling them not to go outside nor bum off their parents. I liked boktai 2 because it made me go outside on a sunny day, or cheat by pressing the sensor againt a light bulb but that was to recharge temporarily and heated my gba.

I also liked how the Wii encouraged fitness as well, and 3ds had the play tokens, with sonic/Mario Rio 2016 Olympics tracking your steps via a marathon. I used to go outside just to do that. Can't force others to do the same sadly.

Re: Future Business Shift Could See Nintendo Move Away From Home Console Development

MrVariant

@Boxmonkey they still didn't port super Mario maker to the switch? That's sad. I doubt they'll make an app to let you download levels to play on mobile with the main game on the switch. Until then I probably wouldn't even buy a switch; my steam backlog and all these sale digital codes via humble bundle (sonic last month was a ton of games, and sonic mania is great with the chemical plant zone mean bean machine boss battle), and gameflip, I wouldn't pay more for their system's games. I am glad I can still play newer super Mario Bros mod on the DS; thought for certain Nintendo would shut it down.

Re: Nintendo Will Be Taken To Court Over Its "Illegal" eShop Pre-Ordering System

MrVariant

@IHateTombs lol I love this karma between this and abuse from Nintendo Russia. Maybe the pirates and modders are fed up with Nintendo rather than just cheap or villains. I also felt it is wrong that the eShop forces you (at least 3ds) to spend at least $10 instead of simply paying for the game. The remainders in accounts is free loans/money for Nintendo.

Re: Nintendo Takes Legal Action Against California Man For Selling Hacked Systems

MrVariant

@goggles789 Nintendo life just advertised Sega ages phantasy star for the switch which is bs given these games are rereleased before (gba for phantasy star 1-3, Sega Genesis collection for ps2/psp for 2-4). I posted some comparison pics based on the ps2 Sega ages 2500 remakes. Don't trust Sega as they will skimp like they did in shining force 3. https://www.instagram.com/p/BrXXCDqhPtk/?utm_source=ig_share_sheet&igshid=1wp5koad7omlv

Re: Phantasy Star Joins The Sega AGES Line On Switch Today

MrVariant

Wow so they don't even remake the game. This is even lazier than only bringing 1/3rd of shining force 3 with Synbios' story.

Phantasy star has a 1-3 collection for gba with a remake for ps2 in japan, and psp/ps2 has 2-4 in that Sega Genesis collection. Naming it Sega ages when the ps2 was Sega ages 2500 (assuming yen) is a sheer scam. This is a vid of phantasy star 2 for Sega ages 2500 ps2. https://youtu.be/cs0xBLqGMNs
I might have bought a switch it they didn't pull this bs honestly. Modernizing some flawed old games can really make a difference.

Re: Nintendo Takes Legal Action Against California Man For Selling Hacked Systems

MrVariant

@goggles789 thanks for getting it. I argued that modding safeguards vs bad remakes where they take out stuff, and yeah out of print = out of options. Can't believe people are crazy enough to pay eShop original game boy Pokemon games for $10 and not demand the remakes be available. Would've been a fair price for SoulSilver or HeartGold to be $10. Then of course there are those who prefer a physical copy that won't magically disappear, or be patched with some BS update (ie your favorite smash character gets nerfed, and even with a physical copy, you can't even choose what version to play offline).

Re: Nintendo Takes Legal Action Against California Man For Selling Hacked Systems

MrVariant

@Alantor28 lol it's the antidote to bad microtransactions and awful collections/remakes. Can't believe people bought megaman legacy collection when anniversary had more stuff 10+ years ago. But then people still buy the square enix mobile remakes full price despite them taking stuff out of the game (final fantasy tactics at least did things properly even without the PSP's multiplayer). I'm talking more about dragon quest 3 without mini medals and sugoroku, which make playing it worthless. I know they also had to overhaul Chrono trigger as well.

Nintendo won't really create a market for DS stuff and will discontinue the classics, so why should I tie both hands behind my back because I liked Mario as a child yet cannot play super Mario all stars on classic snes mini without modding? That package sold the snes as a great bundle, and even added super Mario world at a later date, but classics only gave world.

Re: Feature: Inside The Twisted And Abusive Culture Of Yasha Haddaji's Nintendo Russia

MrVariant

@Shizuelle he will either get a golden parachute or relocated similarly to Isiah Thomas when he was sexually harassing a woman and losing coaching the Knicks. Big businesses at the elite only smite their corrupt manager type employees after enough social pressure.

IE DC comics shuffling Eddie Berganza until enough pressure for sexual harassment by people outside the company to fire him. And of course only Cosby goes to jail.

Re: The 3DS Is Far From Dead, Nintendo Says It's "Continuing With Efforts To Expand Sales"

MrVariant

@Arpie lol gotta lower the standards. Hardly any new stuff. You win the internets. The price drops and affordability of the 3ds help, especially when you help someone who wants to sell theirs with a bundle Nintendo will never do, and I will never understand, just like how excitebike and super Mario maker cannot be uploaded. They also took down the servers for Mario vs donkey Kong tipping stars, the one time I could upload/download levels and tip my stars, a beautiful idea, gone forever now.
