Re: Sorry Nintendo, But The 3DS Really Is Dead Now

MrVariant

@TheRealKyleHyde death sells lol like death of superman. I think of all the card games/board games are dying as people overhype new releases or play new formats of magic, Yu-Gi-Oh and the like, which can't be duplicated digitally. I thought Ascension was dead until i had fun with traveling on the board map with skulls and sails with that deckbuilder though I use that steering wheel currency as I please.

Re: Old-School Platformer Phantom Gear Hoping For A Sega Mega Drive Release

@UtopiaNemo wasn't street fighter one of the games? SNES has a huge advantage with the extra buttons. At least they included PS4.

I just feel a lot more could've easily been done rather than bare bones it like the ps1 mini. Imagine if it had an analog controller and a type of pocketstation mode.

At least it has more games without needing to mod it.

Re: Police Confirm That YouTuber Desmond "Etika" Amofah Has Died

@Wavey84 yeah a few videos or posts per day is fine, helps fir idle time. Though I feel social media made me happier, especially on Instagram when people say my comic posts and humor helps them get through bad days. I feel it depends on who you follow whether or not you have a dumpster fire or something with potential. Unfollow helps get rid of fakers or those who reiterate their constant misery.

And you are right about YouTube time sink lol i got over 200 videos in my watch later.

@AG_Awesome yeah this is what is meant by life is short. You never truly know what dark secrets a person has that may have them end their lives quicker, so I try not to prolong arguments, per alone it's karmic benefit to me. I don't know the person but appreciate being informed so I can celebrate his life and give family my condolences.

Re: Video: Bloodstained: Ritual Of The Night Launch Trailer Shows Off Shovel Knight Collab

MrVariant

@sdelfin wow that sucks. I've learned to wait rather than spend more than $10 with kickstarters given mighty no 9 (no refund/option to change 3ds version which doesn't exist, let alone the mediocre reviews, amd half-assed manuals that don't fit in their game box) and apparently this.

At least the end product for bloodstained has a ton of stuff to justify full price, but yeah I'm glad to wait, similar to earthworm Jim indiegogo comic, no way I'm paying $50 for 2 trade paperbacks before they're released (marvel has a BOGO sale on comixology, and similarly with games steam/Nintendo have a ton of sales) and there's no digital option.

Re: XSEED Games Cops Backlash Online For Not Crediting Former Employee

MrVariant

@grupvilla hm wonder if that carries over well into remakes, probably. Still, I do feel context would've helped rather than make it seem she does 90% of the work, leaves in that same project and they remove her from credits. Though contextually yeah female getting robbed of her work looks bad, even if it's oversold a bit.

Re: SNK Releasing Transparent Neo Geo Mini To Celebrate The Samurai Shodown Series

MrVariant

A shame their version is stuck with so many fighting games. I'm gonna stick with the data east mini arcade; 9 king of fighters games or 6 metal slug isn't much diversity. Though none have real bout fatal fury special and there are 3 samurai showdown games, I do admit this looks nice though.

Re: Mortal Kombat Studio NetherRealm Accused Of Taking Advantage Of Contracted Workers

@Morrow thanks for updating me. Guess Nintendo finally saw value of the free advertising.

It is kinda weird that Disney afternoon collection has no Nintendo release yet are basically improved ports of NES games. Just got it yesterday and love it more than the NES mini given the modes, galleries and rewinds to even make talespin playable. I guess that version would just belong to Capcom/Disney. Just shows things can get complicated later on.
