Re: Poll: So, How Would You Rate The Nintendo Switch 2 Direct?

Mothertroid

I overall was really surprised by the quality of these releases. Mario Kart World looks amazing! Knowing so many switch games are getting special updates for switch 2 is really exciting. We saw Deltarune, Silksong, and more. The New DK Game blew me away. That looks amazing. Mouse mode is going to be really great for some games.

Re: Plants vs. Zombies Set To Be Revived And 'Reloaded' On Nintendo Switch

Mothertroid

This is very exciting! Plants vs Zombies is one of the top games I've ever played. Here's hoping this new release rebalances the versus mode so that way it's actually fun. The concept is great ,but the execution was pretty poor.
A switch port could also bring back some of the DS excuslive mini games which would be excited. One release of Plants vs Zombies with all the content!
I am fully ready to rebuy this game yet again!

Re: Anniversary: Nintendo Switch Launched On This Day Eight Years Ago

Mothertroid

The Nintendo Switch was the only system I got on launch day, and with my personal time and money budgets, there may never be another console that warrants such a rush. I lost my mind seeing the announcement for it on the Wii U eshop, so I was excited to be in that (admittedly short) line outside my local to Target to pick up the Nintendo Switch. Of course, I had to wait until after school to play it , but it was still worth it. 2017 was my favorite Switch year by far, with Sonic Mania's eshop release starting my obsession with the blue blur. All that to say, happy birthday, Nintendo Switch!

Re: Talking Point: Can Nintendo Keep Up The One-Game-A-Month Release Pace On Switch 2?

Mothertroid

I hope that they continue to develop quality smaller titles to release. I think the game's industry has become a little too obsessed with making massive titles. Honestly I get overwhelmed by the size of some of them.
I think they could hit the once a month release ,but it would be tricker. Prehaps one thing that could help would be having Gamecube or DS NSO to supplement regular switch 2 releases.

Re: Talking Point: The 3DS Library Is Ripe For Switch 2, But Is NSO The Way To Go?

Mothertroid

As cool as it would be to have a lot of 3DS games on Switch 2 I don't see it happening. We haven't even gotten DS games yet and Nintendo seems to want to space out releases.
I also think a lot of 3DS games could benefit from updated graphics and controls. Super Mario 3D Land could get multiplayer, Samus Returns could get dread-style controls, and we all know Uprising needs new controls.

Re: Banjo-Kazooie Has The Potential To "Rival 3D Mario", Says Ori Dev

Mothertroid

While I understand the argument many of you are making that Mario is too strong to be rivaled by Banjo I think it's also fair to point out that no one can be king of the hill forever. Back in the day it may have seemed impossible for Atari or Sega to fall and yet they did. It would take a lot of work and luck for anything to truly rival 3D Mario, but I say it's a worth a shot. If nothing else it might force Nintendo to up their game.

Re: Talking Point: Is The Switch 2 Going To Be Too Big?

Mothertroid

@rjejr I agree. Prices these days are out of control so any option Nintendo can give fans to save money would help a lot. A lot of players would probably buy handheld only. I also agree with having other ways to dock the system. A wireless docking option would be nice as well. Especially if it paves the way for the return of dual-screen games from the 3DS.

Re: 8 Years Ago Today, We First Got Our Hands On Nintendo Switch

Mothertroid

I really can't believe how long it has been. The Switch is the only console I've ever gotten on day one and with prices these days seems like it may be the only one I ever get on day one. I bet even with switch 2 we'll see the switch still get support for 2 more years (albeit not as much as we're seeing now).

Re: Talking Point: Is The Switch 2 Going To Be Too Big?

Mothertroid

@judaspete I was going to suggest the same thing, especially for gamers who want to play at the highest graphics levels. Would be fun if you could stream from a home console to either a switch 1 or switch 2.
I think this is the generation to get both a PRO (dedicated home console) and LITE (dedicated handheld smaller size).

Re: Nintendo's Punch-Out!! Series May Be Dead And Buried For Good

Mothertroid

I feel like it would be easy to just find another way to design unique boxers to sidestep the issue. Like have them all be themed based on stuff like animals, food, elements, etc. I think as long as the gameplay is good and the new characters are fun most people won't care.
Silly thought: have them be based on Nintendo hardware. The first boss is Mr. U or The incredible virtual boy.

Re: Toby Fox Shares Another Development Update On Deltarune Chapter 4

Mothertroid

@SpeedRunRocks You know I'm not sure it will lose it's impact. At first I figured it would since you know it's taking forever. Mind you I played Chapter 1 when it was first released. It really seemed like people had moved on. But then chapter 2 came out after 2 years and carried even more hype than chapter 1. Toby Fox is really good at what he does. People are still creating new theories about the game to this day because it's that detail-packed. Of course, the future isn't guaranteed to resemble the past and time can take a toll on even the best. Still I have a sneaking sensation chapters 3&4 are going to take the internet by storm yet again.

Re: Talking Point: Would You Want Quality And Performance Options For Nintendo's 'Switch 2' Games?

Mothertroid

A quality and performance toggle would've been good for Paper Mario the Thousand Year Door. I think a lot of players would've been okay disabling some of the higher visuals to get to 60 fps. This could really benefit people who played the original on Gamecube and don't want to lose muscle memory due to the frame rate change. Whereas more new players and those who love the high visual style of Orgami King (like me) can keep that and play at 30.
