Re: Apex Legends' Switch Launch Date Appears To Have Been Revealed (Again)

Mjoen

So excited for this. It’s my go to game when I can’t decide what to play. I play it often on my ps4&5... since corona I’ve gotten into fortnite because I can watch the news and go handheld. This game in my opinion blows fortnite outta the water though and I am so excited to play it in handheld.
For the people that are wondering it’s free to play... you can buy battle passes and skins... I bought the battle pass in season 1 for fun (900 apex coins=9 bucks).... if you play it you will unlock apex coins over the course of the battle pass... enough to buy the next battle pass if you don’t wast your coins on skins. So since season 1 I have paid 10 bucks and have unlocked the last 6 battle passes by just playing. Granted I put in time....... it reminds me of golden eye but each character has 3 unique special abilities and yeah this game is amazing if ya like fortnite without the building. So excited to play this in handheld. My only question is will it be cross platform or am I gonna be waxing all the Nintendo noobs for the next season who have never played it. Hope it runs as well as it does on the PlayStation.... guessing it’s gonna drain my switch battery rather quickly though but it’ll be nice to change it up from fortnight.

Re: Random: YouTuber Shows Google Stadia Version Of Cyberpunk 2077 Running On Switch

Mjoen

Cyberpunk is amazing if you play it right. I’m the type of person that loves to explore every nook and cranny and find as much stuff as I can. I like to pretend I’m in the world and I let the story come to me... instead of speed running... I walk it.
With that said... I am playing on a PS5 but I don’t ever have issues with crashing until a few minutes after I complete a difficult mission that I stumbled into by walking the yellow dotted line. Sometimes I do random missions on the way to whatever waypoint I have marked but nonetheless I’m accomplishing stuff haha. The game is overwhelming huge and at times almost makes me feel closterphobic with the size of the surrounding building. I do wish there was a legit switch version but yeah.... the game is amazing really. I just looked at my total play hours on it and I’m at 13 hours..... and I just hit the intro title screen ha. It’s amazing. I actually look forward to the crashes because it snaps me out of it and I can take a break. As of yet I have not lost any progress and it loads me in right where I left off.... but like I said it usually happens a few minutes after I finish a difficult mission and I’m just wandering around aimlessly. I’m probably lucky it’s not on the switch... the game sucks you in if you take it slow... I don’t wanna sprint through a game that has been in production for 9 years.... I wanna explore the world and yeah it’s nice. I’d say by this time next year it will be smooth sailing and if they make the multiplayer anything like GTA5 this games gonna be around for a long time.

Re: Poll: How Do You Feel About 'Limited-Time' Games From Nintendo?

Mjoen

Just a crazy thought.... what if lol... it’s a first print.... Easter egg limited editio... you 100% all 3 and unlock galaxy 2. That would be amazing I’d say. After that they will sell each one separate at a higher price with galaxy 2 never seeing a switch release ever... only as an unlockable if this collection is fully completed 🤯

Re: Video: The Switch Is A Wii U Port Machine, And That's A Good Thing

Mjoen

That wasn’t gaga googoo .... That was wahoo yahoo. It gives Nintendo so much more stress free time to make new games without fans breathing down there necks forcing them to rush upcoming masterpieces we don’t even know about because millions of people will be busy with this game. Just thinking... say they release sunshine or galaxy or something. A remake of stuff like that would keep most switch owners busy for years as I’m sure the majority of them have never even seen the games. Anyways.... it’s a good thing... and when the time is right breath of the wild 2 and most releases will be revealed and drop soon after... Cuz they are Nintendo and cuz they can haha. They are probably so far ahead now with resources that they have switch 2 pro finished and a home console almost completed with virtual boy 2 present day VR fully mastered.... and they are all kicked back at home self isolating playing ghosts haha

Re: Mario Project In PS4's Dreams Comes To A Halt For Containing "Copyrighted Material"

Mjoen

Dreams is amazing. I have toured the streets of south park in vr it was like I was in the town. I have absolutely played the Mario games as well as other Nintendo games. There are so many amazing creations... Most of the controls are way off. But over time each creator can prefect it and make some amazing creation. You start with a blank world and just and idea for controls and what you can do. I see this game as almost an introduction into the world of video game making and should be embraced by all developers and companies world wide. Think of each dream as a porfolio for each individual. I work in the schools and lots of The artistic kids draw sonic and Mario. If they get this game why can’t they be inspired by such characters and make a dream with who they like. These games are basically open world 3D virtual paintings with very very very simple goals to beat the created world such as collect a coin. Really... let the people have there fun and if someone makes an amazing one... don’t threaten legal action (as they have no rights to what they made anyways) but interview them for a job. Like really... it’s all so simple

Re: Rumoured Switch Pro Might Not Actually Use Nvidia's Tegra X1+ Chip

Mjoen

Really though there will be only a handful of games the first few years of next gen anyways that people would want on the switch and honestly we alllllllll can admit that they will not be possible anytime soon so we need to stop that hype train right in its tracks.
I look to red dead 2 and GTA5... those I feel would be the games that could potentially come with some minor upgrades yet still function one the OG switch. I mean rockstar dropped L.A and it’s amazing. It’s just not the kind of game that appeals to the gta people as it is so much slower paced. With that said they dropped off the planet for the switch but must see the success of the system. Drop GTA and they sell 20 mil. more copies. It takes years for these guys to make games and port them. It doesn’t happen over night. I’m guessing there are tons of current gen games in development they just need that little extra kick to get them functioning optimally... that’s what we will get (Eventually) if there are any minor upgrades.

Re: Rumoured Switch Pro Might Not Actually Use Nvidia's Tegra X1+ Chip

Mjoen

@Moistnado ... but they already are... specially if this pans out and is nothing more then minor upgrades. All around there seems to be switch shortages. I mean it’s not hard to get one but there are definitely less on the shelf but all the boxes are solid red (aka... the new and improved better battery switch). If this pans out the new and improved better battery will not be on the shelves and it will be the super better battery with little better visual capabilities and of course stability improvements haha.
This could go on yearly easily and I think absolutely will. Most people don’t care about what we discuss on here... they just want a switch and when they buy one they will get the most advanced version at the time although to us the same old with minor tweaks. Nintendo will continue to improve and prefect it and every maybe 4-5 years will drop a switch with significant upgrades but it will still just be a switch capable of playing everything prior but will be Necessary for new and improved ports. Oh well we’ll see... I won’t buy a new one till my day 1 switch craps out and if when that happens I’ll get a new one. If one comes out that is necessary though to play newer games then I would upgrade.

Re: Rumoured Switch Pro Might Not Actually Use Nvidia's Tegra X1+ Chip

Mjoen

I think there will be a new switch every year here on out just like cell phones with minor upgrades. Maybe every 5 years an advanced model with lots of more then acceptable upgrades. But by putting out updated ones yearly we will buy them because there will be special editions or just because ours our getting old from wear and people without a switch will jump on because slowly even more amazing 3rd party AAA games will be ported because the minor upgrades yearly make it more capable. I think this recipe is much like the DS updates but will be more successful and bigger jumps because it is a home and portable system in one appealing to every gammer. I think the life cycle for the switch will be as long as Nintendo wants it to be and eventually it will have the capabilities of a PS5 or whatever the new Xbox is called.... more then likely at the end of the ps5 and new Xbox cycle... hence we won’t be happy because it will never catch up as quickly as some would like... but we will have Zelda botw2 and Super Mario’s Super Sunshineing Odd Galaxy 3 eventually and 100’s of backlogged games anyways. I’d plan on these rumors to happen yearly and pan out yearly and never end keeping the hype train rolling till Nintendo perfects the next great thing we didn’t know we wanted in like 10 years

Re: 64 Games Are Currently Available For Less Than $1 On The Nintendo Switch eShop

Mjoen

I see it this way.... Back in the day when we use to go outside and play with sticks because the internet was extremely rare and only the well off families could afford it... and the computers plugged into the phone lines... and it would take a day to download a song that hopefully worked and was not a loud screeching noise for 3 minutes instead... Well to pass the time we had these places where you could rent vhs movies and video games in person physically... it was usually around 5$ for 3 days and 2 nights of rentals. Well.... I just look at the eshop deals as renting a game for cheeper then it costed back in the day but getting to keep the game. With that mindset I have no room to complain at all. We do absolutely need folders and a better eshop layout though... but as far as price... eh... I can donate a few dollars here and there to give a game a try. Heck one play of mortal Kombat, street fighter or nba jam at an arcade was more expensive then some of these games that we get to keep. So yeah.... I see no point in complaining about free/cheep games... even if they are trash ya still get your money’s worth if you play it just once or twice.... but like I said... I would love a folder I could file the trash into.

Re: Respawn Entertainment Is Well Aware Of The Demand For Apex Legends On Switch

Mjoen

If this game came to the switch I would no longer have use for my ps4 besides my hockey... but I would have no more interest in nhl if I could fulfill my online fun time with my buddy in apex like we have gravitated to of recent. I’d then only ever play nhl if it came to the switch lol.
Anyways if anyone has not played apex it’s a absolute must. It’s the same style as fortnite however I did not care for that game at all.
How I describe apex is that of golden eye on a massive online battle royal level. It’s amazing.

Re: 8Bitdo's Latest SN30 Controller Firmware Update Improves Analogue Accuracy On Switch

Mjoen

I have not looked into this too deeply but I got a nes and snes classic and I have trouble getting any of my 8bitdo wireless adapters to recognize the snes classics buttons. It stays in nes classic format (the x and y stay in a and b turbo mode for nes) this is with a switch pro, Wii U pro, and a 8bitdo nes controllers. I feel like my firmware on the dongles was up to date until now but I would like to play the snes wirelessly.

Re: Nintendo On How It Views Indie and AAA Games

Mjoen

For some reason I keep thinking with all the delays for Red Dead 2 we will see a switch version releasing along side PS4 and Xbox.... I’m more then likely dreaming though.
One game I’d like to see on the switch although it did not live up to the hype at all would be No Mans Sky. Seems like a perfect fit wandering around in space while watching Netflix.
Plus it’s not even been a year... I’d say E3 will be huge for AAA game announcements on the switch.
It takes time to build. The strong move quiet, the weak start riots... and developers don’t want to write checks with there mouths that there butts can’t cash.

Re: Nintendo's Ultimate Ambition Is For Switch "To Be Owned By Every Single Person"

Mjoen

They need family sharing for purchases and Then it could be possible everyone in each family to have one... or maybe something like buy for example splatoon for reg price then $10 for each additional download per family with like a limit of 4. I know people will say not possible because people will abuse the feature and share codes with other people but 10$ is more then 0$ for a person who would typically not purchase a game.

Re: Loads Of Rare Zelda Amiibo Are Available Right Now From Amazon Japan

Mjoen

Actually... I just went through with this for 5. Skyward, Twilight, Toon Zelda.... then 2 random ones that were pretty cool that I have never seen before. Shipping $29.... total $74.... ....... 74/5= $14.80 per Amiibo... thats cheaper then in store. $9.54 per...itemized (on order confirmation (1035yen per amiibo = $9.19) ..... So basically I see it as free shipping. Now Im kicking myself for not slapping on the sweet splatoon joy-cons....when in rome. Thank you for this heads up and I think they will be pretty neat boxes in Japanese and some English.
