Re: Review: Rocket League (Switch eShop)

Mjoen

When switching from docked to handheld I would love the option where it would automatically switched to the connected joycons on the switch and disconnect the pro controller. Other then that the game is as amazing as it ever was. Also really..... why would anyone ever want physical of this game. It would take more time to switch cartridges then it does to find an online match and already be in the game.

Re: Out Today: L.A. Noire and Rocket League Lead the Way in Fresh Switch eShop Releases

Mjoen

Rocket league is awesome. I can notice not as defined if graphics in handheld but it was quickly overlooked with the speed of the gameplay as it was soon forgotten. One problem as I was playing.... I was playing with pro Controller on tv and when I went to try in handheld I was imaging it would switch over to the connected joy cons. It did not and I fumbled around trying to pick up my pro controller and get the switch stand up. This neeeeeeeeeeeeeeds to be addressed.... in my opinion.

Re: Nintendo Wants Everyone In Your House To Have Their Own Switch

Mjoen

I wanna purchase 1 digital copy and have it accessible at anytime and the same time (registered) across 4-5 switches. Just like Apple where I can access all my stuff across multiple devices with family share. If Nintendo did that all family members would get a switch. I currently have a switch and my daughter has a switch who lives with her mother. It is expensive buying doubles of everything so we can play together online.

Re: Guide: How to Use Two or More Micro SD Cards in Your Switch for Limitless Storage

Question relating kinda.... So I have Mario Kart physical but I’m enjoying digital much more for pick up and play games. I’ll reserve physical for large epic games from now on (Skyrim). Anyways if I trade in Mario Kart and download the digital instead will all my data still work... example my gold trophies on 200cc will stay or will I have to restart? I’m thinking everything will stay but I’m wondering if anyone has done this yet?

Re: Cybergadget's Slim Switch Dock Offers LAN Play - Releases This December

Mjoen

I’m thinking of the LAN and possibly why it’s not on the switch.
How fluid would it be to go from docked LAN, to portable WiFi when you “switch” mid play? Say you were in splatoon online on LAN.... and you go to undocked mid game would you get booted while the switch changes over to WiFi? We all know of the weak WiFi signal and it’s kinda slow to find it when it initially connects... perhaps this is why because all the systems would drop connection during the fluid switch... just a thought.

Re: The SNES Classic Mini Uses the Same Hardware as the NES Mini

Mjoen

I would like to confirm my 8bitdo retro classic adapter works as I was playing with my switch pro controller... however the buttons were paired for the nes classic with x and y being turbo. My nes30 controller has an x y (not turbo config) so hopefully that will work But it is charging at the moment and I don’t wanna short charge it. I am just happy the receiver works although I figured it would.

About chipsets and price of the Switch console... (handheld to whoever really feels that way...to each there own).

A. I really can't understand why people complain about the price for a system.... no mater if portable, home, or hybird. Is that Phone in your pocket used mostly by the masses for Facebook, snapchat, instagram, ect, really worth that 600-1100 price tag? AND every 2 years needing (wanting) to upgrade for new features you will use a handful of times and forget about (for most people).

B. Throw the best of the best chipset in whatever is next for nintendo and I will pay 400-1000 bucks for the thing without hesitation. I think its batpoop crazy people would drop a G on a phone as apposed to a gaming system (probably would do away with scalping at that cost) & (hopefully many years down the road and easy for the developers to work with without having to compromise anything). Then everyone else who feels its too expensive can still get the OG switch for 149.99.

PS... Nintendo with a price tag like that please include some storage space.

PPS... I have no complaints about my switch I just hope it will get NHL 19 next year so I can box up my ps4.

PPSS...... WHO IS EXCITED FOR THIS FRIDAY...... SNES SNES SNES SNES SNES

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Switch and Third-Parties - Let's Be Realistic

The reason why Nintendo people are not huge 3 party players is because the hardcore gamers that dictate the market..... they gamers don't have the games that would make the console competitive!.....AND AND AND...... IT IS NOT BECAUSE THE DEVELOPERS DON'T WANT TO TAKE A CHANCE AND DEVELOP FOR THEM. Its because of Nintendo's old ways....that are currently and finally in a state of change. Nintendo, since Mortal Kombat zigged one way (green blood) and the other competing systems zagged the other way (causing me to buy a sega for the more "realistic" red blood). As far as "taboo" content was involved Nintendo kinda took a stand. For people old enough its like drinking regular beer vs/ 3/2 beer... and nintendo games are watered down on the realism and not gonna give you the buzz you seek.
There are not many M rated games for any prior system Nintendo has made and even the ones that were, were still cartoony because of the under power of the system compared to the rest... thus not selling well since most past Nintendo families would not buy a shoot um up type of game.....and the hard core gamers are like whatever I got a playstation or xbox so whatever.
Now though.... even if only a slightly better then PS3 or whatever as far as capabilities of how the games look .... I would guess with LA Noire coming out (legit M Rated) its more then likely going to happen that we will have a GTA5 thats gonna be a little better then ps3 and a little less as good as the ps4 (there will be an in-between amount of grass blades between ps3-ps4 on our switch version) in our hands, on the tv or whenever, where ever at some point in time next year ... and its gonna be dope as hell.(id guess e3 announcement and holiday 2018 release.....OR It could be possible that rockstar delayed the release of Red Dead 2 a few times already and just made it a general 2018 release instead of an exact date that it had at least 2 times for 2017 because it will have a switch version as well that releases at the same time.....
I personally will pick the game 10 times out of 10 that I can play on the big screen or I can play in my hands as I watch netflix in the background or on a plane, train or bus because I have that option.... even if there is less defined sand in the wild west and not flawless edges on buildings.... because its freaking amazing to have that many options of when, how and where to play it.

Basically if nintendo allows anything on the system it will get all the 3rd party support it will ever need and we will get all the AAA games we could ever want..... just a little less defined until the next switch comes out.... but by that time.... id say sony and Microsoft with superior power consoles compared to the switch .... will be trying to play catch up to the switch in the functionality department and the switch will be just as powerful as a ps4 Pro.... and by that point the switch will be more then established as the console to have. Heck and I even say nintendo will get Microsofts exclusive games as well by then as they will team up. Ha I gotta stop typing and get to bed I'm getting delirious.

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Switch and Third-Parties - Let's Be Realistic

Mjoen

I hope 3rd party keeps trying year after year for example nba2k. The first year will never live up to the other systems but if 2k makes nba19 I’m assuming it will be leaps and bounds better since the framework is laid out they will have a whole year to work out the bugs.
We also need nintendo to stick with the switch framework going forward. No new gimmicks for whatever the next system is. They just need to just make a switch pro 2.0 and find a way to cram in beefier hardware to support the next gen games.
I think most developers are thinking this way as well and when the capibility is there to port stuff easily Nintendo will be the #1 system on the market.... it kinda is already... it’s just so early. All developers see it’s amazing potential and will be ready.

Re: EA Talks Up the Positives of FIFA 18 on Switch Not Using the Frostbite Engine

Mjoen

Im sorry if this is long winded...
I remember when I got my PS4 and FIFA was the only sports game available. What people need to realize and understand is this is the template for future EA games on the Switch. Its not gonna be 100% amazing this year.... but it will be close next year (if we support this game). Just as the first PS4 version was lacking a lot of stuff. But it paved the way for all other EA Sports games. I am not a FIFA diehard, however I clock 500-1000 games a year on EA NHL online league. The first PS4 version of hockey did not have online leagues and was horrible to me... however I just got done beta testing 18 on PS4 and the game is the best hockey game I have ever played ever ever (it makes 17 feel like a dump in a brown bag....3 on 3...is super wow as well and in my opinion the graphics are almost the same).
What we need to hope for is for Nintendo to support 3 party development with the switch. AND when the Switch V 2.0 comes out be that tomorrow to 4 years or whenever/whatever, they do not completely overhaul the innards with completely different unique chip sets that developers have to start from scratch again at. Instead we need Nintendo to just upgrade it to be much more powerful using the same framework and most powerful compatible chips by working with the 3rd parties thus making it easier for 3rd parties to port over original switch stuff to the new stuff but with much greater power (like playstation and Microsoft do for the most part).
I think this is awesome that EA sees the potential of the switch and is taking these steps to set the framework for other sports titles with this custom engine. Sure the cut scene graphics will be looking dated... But as long as the physics and flow of the actual gameplay are there (and I expect this to be lacking a little but really it will be close to on point) this will be a smash hit for EA and us the consumers as well.... Once the physics and flow are there (EA will improve the dated looking graphics.... You can't expect any game company to start at the pinnacle of the mountain fresh off the ground floor with a new system. Specially when I'm sure most of last year and this year was used to design the unique engine for the game.
I hope people support this and when NHL is released eventually as I'm assuming EA will next year I will never need to buy another system ever again because I look forward to the day of playing my online league at the bar with my boys online versus other people around the globe.
Hashbrowns = # Rocket league is gonna be a game changer.
Hashbrowns = # Come on Rockstar we want you to switch it up as well.

Re: EA Is Considering Bringing More Games to Nintendo Switch

Mjoen

If EA made NHL I would have no need to own my Playstation anymore. I would keep it because I have some great games that I would not want to part with in the long run... But besides big drops ever 5 years or so from say Rockstar GTA for example I personally only play hockey and Nintendo exclusive games. I would love to have a NHL drop in league for example that I can play at home or in a bar with some friends in person verses other teams online.
Side note.... I don't even watch hockey... I could not name more then 5 players in the whole NHL... The game is just fast and intense... flat out amazing game really.
Second side note.... EA if you see this.... please don't make it all gimmicky for Switch... we own pro controllers for a reason. Save the gimmicky stuff for NHL arcade type of games.
