Very excited for this one! Been looking forward to actually trying this game since it’s announcement for the NSO+

I played the 3DS one with my boys and daughter when they were still at home. This one I played with my wife and my daughter (the only child who hasn’t left yet). Such a great series, I am so glad for both games. I am looking forward to this DLC! I feel like this game is the continuation of what started on the 3DS, and then they expanded it in leaps and bounds. Is everything what I wanted, no, but it is what some others wanted (like my wife and daughter wanted some of this stuff). I am so thankful for the work put in by Level-5. This is my game of the year for 2025, even over Final Fantasy Tactics-which I put more time into, but I enjoyed Fantasy Life I more with my family.

Donkey Kong Country for the SNES! I did the same thing to my parents when it came out. They told me to stop talking about the game. So I would casually leave magazines with ads in them around the house for them to peruse, but always opened to the DKC ad. I’d play the VHS (that Nintendo sent us) on the TV when they were home, just because. Lo and behold, it came on Christmas.

I just use the Nintendo Dock, and no problem here, yet. Hopefully it keeps working fine. I do like the way the Switch 2 shows if the game is a card or digital. Even though I know it, it is still a neat little extra (a very Nintendo thing).

I enjoyed the Mario Movie each time I watched it. My daughter and I (strange how that keeps happening in this comment section) have seen it several times now. We even watch it together when we just want to have fun. I am thankful it was made exactly like it was.

I account for about 3 of those sales. 1 for the SNES original and 2x’s purchased for the DS

One of the best 3DS games. Definitely looking forward to this one. My kids and I had three copies of it.

New year, gotta start it off right and make a prediction about Nintendo’s next console. Anyway, I am thankful for these articles, they keep my spirits up about us actually getting new Switch this year.

I like these giveaways. Excited to try Cyjin and Primal Light later. My favorite of their games is Mana Spark. It wasn’t in their giveaway this year, but is definitely worth the purchase.

I absolutely love this game, and am so excited!

I always get excited for these little “directs”! I often can find several games that I want and can get for the price of one AAA game.

I loved the story in this game, and even the way it was delivered after each run. So much so, that I wouldn’t let my children play unless I was home just in case another story sequence unlocked.

I so wanted this game to come to Switch and hope it performs smoothly.

I was looking forward to this since the Kickstarter. But I will see some Switch reviews before I buy.

Absolutely the North American one, even though Marle doesn’t have fire magic. I loved that game as a kid. Still do

@Mikeopferman part of the reason is I have three kids, and they are always playing on at least one of them. I had to buy more just so I could play.

We have three Switches in our house already, and if Nintendo ever comes out with an upgraded “Pro” version I would buy another one.

One of my favorite games on the Switch! I love the coop and the games single player is great! Cant wait to try this new island out

Of the DS Zelda games, Spirit Tracks is the better. I whole heartedly agree with everything he said in this essay as well.

Best strategy game on Switch, as long as you are okay with LONG load times. If this is true and they do port Chimera Squad, I am so excited. After I finished the two games on the Xcom Collection, I looked up Chimera Squad and hoped it would come over also. It probably won’t run at 30fps and will have long load times also, but in these types of games that is okay.

Fire Emblem Echoes is a great game. I think it is much better than Birthright and Conquest. Also, I still have not played a Dragon Quest game (besides the demo for 11S) and may just try out 8.

I have played over 70 hours single player, and another 70 at least with my wife on multiplayer. But going through this list makes me want to give it another go

I really enjoyed Zelda’s voice. I always wanted to hear someone act her voice out, and I truly believe she did a great job. It is too bad that there are so many negative people out there. I try to get around that by figuring most of those who just like to post their negative thoughts are probably just young kids who think it is cool to be bad.

@Heavyarms55 Disappointed! That is a funny story, but I’d be delighted if that was my job and I opened it to find someone ordered a neat new game and I got to see it first.

I played this game many years ago on PC, and am so glad it is coming back. I look forward to showing my kids it.

My first Fire Emblem game was Shadow Dragon for the DS. I loved that game! It interested me so much that I bought Awakening, and am now a Fire Emblem mega Fan. I’d love to go back and play Shadow Dragon, but I will probably buy this version just to compare it.

I loved Pikmin 3 on WiiU (and the three others like me who played it would agree) and cannot wait to give it another go with the Co-op in story mode with my children. I played the DLC already, but would do it again.

This developer really does very good work. I will pick this up.

I use to do Kickstarter (not anymore, burnt to many times), but this looks like a sure fire win for multiplayer fun when it comes out.

Nintendo only "plans" on selling 2 million Switches in March. They will only make that many consoles. If you think otherwise, then just remember Wii, Amiibo, WiiU Pro controllers, NES classic, and even the original NES. It's the Nintendo way. I wish they'd learn, but they won't. Underestimate demand, under deliver in physical products. Hello being a Nintendo fan-waiting is part of the game.

I hate when people complain about pricing when what should be a full price game or close (affordable space adventures, which I own) is actually less than the value. $20 is low for a quality exclusive (aka Swords and Soldiers 2), but our Steam and App Store mentality is creeping into our consoles and we will all be the worse for it. There is a reason I have no games on my iPhone, they stink (sans Hearthstone), and the controls are usually horrible. I am not asking for higher costs, just a mentality that understands quality costs, this is why older Toyotas retain their value, and Dodge doesn't.

I like amiibo support, I don't like finding amiibos. Please Nintendo, make more of them, I don't buy from scalpers. Also, the Fire Emblem amiibo look the best

Thanks for answering my question! Also, I am glad somebody asked about controllers, though we have about 6 now because of Smash. Looking forward to going home later today and purchasing it. I have wanted this experience since I first heard about it.

Absolutely love the trailers, and I got my children looking forward to it as well. Do you think that with 3 players going at it, is one of them a little easier or not as necessary as the others? Not all of my children are incredible players, but I'd still like them to feel like they contribute (6 year old)

Absolutely hate those aliens at the end that just sit there in over watch, waiting for you to get in range. Jerks! Other that that, I love how it is different from FE Awakening (best 3DS game ever), and causes me to change my strategy. Preordering this now!

Only time I ever called was for Secret of Mana, somehow I lost the girl when playing and she never came back. So I saved my game (mistake) and called the hotline. We tried all sorts of things while talking to him on the phone but nothing worked (it was a glitch), so I had to restart. That's when I learned never to save when something odd happens. But the counselor was great on the phone, he really tried to help me out.

What is the 2-player like?

Excited about this, but I will probably wait for now. I am deeply into Fantasy Life, and don't see myself playing anything else on the 3DS for awhile.

Love this game, and I thoroughly enjoy your writing about it. The cook was a fun "Life" for me as well. So far my favorite is the Hunter.
