@ElGrego I think the point was that when MyNintendo started out they had full VC Games and exclusive software.

Sure, they've got Twilight Princess Picross, but 9 months later and all we have is... Twilight Princess Picross.

They had a download version of WarioWare Touched for 3DS when it started, why didn't they follow that route and put DS games as downloadable rewards on 3DS?

The discounts today are a pittance of a difference, and with the amount of points you need to get those discounts it would be cheaper in the long run to outright buy them all at full price.

Not bummed about Playtonic 'making the Switch', as it were, but I am a little annoyed at how they handled this.

Vast majority would prefer 'traditional' Mario, whilst I'm at the point in which if the Mario game teased in the Switch trailer isn't a 64/Sunshine/Galaxy style collect-a-thon, I don't even know what I'm going to do, but I'm not going to be satisfied.

Even Nintendo realizes that your points would likely expire before something worthwhile shows up.

It's cool and all, but if it were a deep blue I would absolutely get one. After upgrading to the red Smash 3DSXL only to have the n3DS steal the spotlight, I'll only consider an upgrade if it looks as awesome as my Smash 3DS.

This one came SO close to being that replacement, but the purple-ness is too feminine for my tastes.

But I may be warming up to it. Depends on the light I view it in.

@Pigeon Team17's porting the Xbone/PS4 versions but the Wii U one's being taken on by Playtonic themselves. I wonder how they'll go with it.

I'm hoping by "everyone moves at once", they mean everyone rolls their dice at the same time and each move individually, and not "everyone moves together".

And please bring back non-linear boards with a set number of turns. I don't like "racing" to the end of a board at the fortune of random events and dice rolls. It's not fun.

Between all the controversy with current generation Mario games, (Classic 3D Mario vs. 3D Land/World, Classic Paper Mario vs. Sticker Star/Color Splash, Classic 2D Mario vs. New Super Mario Bros., Classic Mario Kart vs. Mario Kart 8) I think the one thing that we can all agree on about current generation Mario games is that Mario Party 1-2-3 > Every other Mario Party > Mario Party 9/10.

Hm. Japan got the Kid Icarus shorts, we get a discount on a SNES game that only a fraction of 3DS owners can take advantage of.

When are they gonna put more DS games for 3DS? Having WarioWare Touched as a 3DS download was great, but what about the other great DS games?

Nintendo proved that they could put DS games on the eShop if they wanted to, but now they're not doing anything with it. I assume they might put another one up when the WarioWare offer expires at the end of the month, but one game every three months makes the Virtual Console service seem like a bullet train.

I just want a copy of Super Mario 64 DS saved to my SD Card is all.

I'll take any actual downloadable software over Miitomo items and discounts.

Assuming that they'll be showing off new games in the Day 2 stream, this is great news. They pretty much made it sound like a Nintendo Direct, which usually contain a fair amount of new stuff.

That's what E3 is all about really, the new game reveals?

The Wet-Dry World secret isn't much of a secret- it was kinda instrumental to the design of the level. Heck, I'm pretty sure a Toad flat-out tells you this.

Until then, if you don't live in the USA you're completely screwed, whilst if you are in the USA, you have to pay/wait in line all day for a few measly minutes of gameplay.

Emily Rogers seems to be quite a reputable leaker. I trust what she says, and I especially hope they're true (such as NX getting Smash Bros., Mario Kart, 3D Mario, Zelda and a Retro Studios game in the first year), but she also said that Zelda's going to have voice acting, which I don't like the sound of.

I like it. I think this, in combination with changing the logo back to red, means Nintendo has moved away from Iwata's age of minimalism.

I was expecting a 2017 release for the NX all this time, so I was actually surprised to find out that it's coming so soon.

But the absolute lack of information from Nintendo lately is worrying, especially considering how soon the NX will be here. NX is releasing in 10 months and we have no idea what it is, we only know one first-party game coming to it, and we still don't actually know anything about that game. If they take too long to reveal their system (and the games for it), consumers won't have enough time to make the decision to buy it at launch.

There are too many factors that could make or break this console that we don't know yet- the specs, the pricing, the software, and the traditional Nintendo gimmick, so giving Nintendo fans the cold shoulder through E3 and beyond concerns me.

Do they not have any NX games releasing within the next year, other than Zelda? That's their latest 'thing', right? To only announce games that are expected to be released within a year? After E3, it'll be 9 months until launch and we still won't know anything about it. When are they actually going to drop that bomb?

E3 2015: "Wow, that sucked. I wish they at least talked about Zelda"
E3 2016: "Wow, this is going to suck, they're only talking about Zelda"

Any of those Boss battles where you're not actually fighting the boss, but platforming while keeping away from the actual boss.

Super Mario Sunshine, New Super Mario Bros. Wii, New Super Mario Bros. 2, Super Mario 3D Land and Super Mario 3D World are all guilty of this, and all of these were the final bosses!

Just in time for my birthday. As long as it launches with a great game or two (assuming Zelda will), then I'll be happy.

But a 3D "action" Mario game would also be nice.

Because it's the only first party Wii U game in production, I'd wager. That and Color Splash. I hope this means that we'll be getting some non-playable previews of NX games, assuming it does get a reveal before E3. Come on, 3D Mario!

I really really hope this means that Nintendo is getting away from minimalism. Iwata was a great man but he made the company far too uniformist between the Wii/Wii U/DS/3DS brand and the constant stream of casual, "you-can-call-it-a-game-but-it's-not-really-a-game" software.

@TeoXique By playing them it seems. We'll have to wait to see just how points get doled out. I'd been saving my funds for a good opportunity to download Super Mario Galaxy on my Wii U but now I want to see how much it takes to get 90 Gold Points.
