Re: Nihon Falcom Lacks The Ability To Release More Games On Switch, Says President

@ARPK And I didn’t play it on Vita or PS4, so I couldn’t tell you how the Switch version compares to those. I feel like I tend to be more forgiving of technical flaws than most people anyway, so you probably should take what I say with a grain of salt in general. I will say, Ys VIII on Switch has gone on sale in the past, but I don’t know how much of a discount it got.

@Judal27 We’ll see. SMTV was announced a long time ago. I’m sure it’s still coming, but how much longer do we have to wait? I hope we look back at the end of the Switch’s lifecycle and are thrilled about the tremendous support Atlus has given it, but right now? It’s been over two years, and nothing. To say I’m concerned about Atlus is putting it lightly.

@Heavyarms55 True, but physical games can also be hard to find if they didn’t sell well initially. Try finding a copy of Panzer Dragoon Saga for a reasonable price, for example. Heck, I’ve tried to find a copy of Skies of Arcadia Legends recently, and they’re all 70 or 80 bucks. But I suppose that buying an expensive copy of a game is still better than not being able to buy the game at all.

Re: Review: Assassin's Creed III Remastered - The Franchise Runt Gets A Clunky Switch Port

@Yasume Well, there’s a number of reasons. It mostly comes down to, I had the money, and I wanted it, so I bought it. Sure it’ll probably go on sale at some point, but I might not have the money for it then. I generally plan out my video game purchases months in advance; I rarely impulse-buy video games.

So I’ve known for at least a couple of months that I wanted to buy ACIII the day it came out. Maybe I would have rethought that if I’d read this review first, but probably not. I know I like ACIII (I’ve played it twice), and I have a higher tolerance for technical issues than most people.

Besides, I wanted to support Assassin’s Creed games on the Switch. III isn’t my favorite, but if it sells well, maybe Ubisoft will bring more AC games to the Switch.

In any case, if I buy it, I have it, and I can play it whenever I want. If I waited, and I got in the mood to play it, I’d have to make sure I had the money to buy it, and then download it and wait. This way, it’s on my Switch, ready for me whenever I’m ready for it.

Plus, I like supporting the people who make video games, and buying games for full price as soon as they come out is a good way to do it.

So there, like I said. Lots of reasons.

@Mugen80 Oh, trust me, I have. I know full well that Simon’s Quest requires a guide. That definitely should be held against it when assessing its quality. That said, I maintain that it is still a good game. It’s mechanically sound, the music and graphics are great... As long as you have some help with the absurdly obtuse puzzles, there’s no reason you shouldn’t have fun with it.

@StarViruZ Lucidsound LS30. I don’t think they make them anymore, but there are other wireless headsets that work with the Switch, including, weirdly enough, Sony’s official PlayStation wireless headsets. They have an adapter that plugs into a USB port, so you can only use them in docked mode, but I don’t mind using wired headphones when I’m playing in handheld mode.
