Re: Punishing Action-Platformer Blasphemous Gets A Limited Run Physical Release

LordVal

God, I love the digital age. Since then I have so much more space in my house. I have over 300 games now for my Switch and just 24 physical. Of course no limited or special or another dust collector edition. Since I sold the biggest part of my collection I feel much more free.
And Blasphemous was a big disappointment to me. It looks gorgeous, but the game is boring like Hollow Knight and Dead Cells.

Re: Mario Kart Tour's Diddy Kong Pack Costs £39, The Same Price As Mario Kart 8 Deluxe On Switch

LordVal

At work everybody plays this app now and it's a lot of fun to destroy my colleagues Highscore again and again. No one spent a Cent on this game and everyone is Level 15 or higher. Some have Diddy, some not, but they have Bowser or Daisy or some other Driver no one else has. Yes, the prices for stuff like drivers, Rubies, cards etc are extremely high and it has a high pay-to-win potential, but it does not bother us and doesn't destroy the fun we have with this game. Sounds, Visuals, even the controls are awesome for a mobile game. You don't have to spend hours and hours playing or walk thousand of kilometers like in Pokémon Go. Even colleagues who "don't like" videogames are in love with this game and that what it's all about and what Nintendo is doing all the time: they create software for everyone's joy (Wii fit, DrKawashima, Anal Crossing etc). Imo it's a outstanding app and don't forget: you are not forced to pay this ridiculous prices. Ignore and enjoy!

Re: Mario Kart Tour Heads To Tokyo This Week With New Courses And Characters On The Way

LordVal

I love this game. It's so much fun to beat a friends Highscore. The Switch version is maybe better, but the competition level is much higher in the mobile game. Completed everything and bought the gold pass today. Now waiting for tomorrow, new courses and characters.
But the best about this game: after playing some rounds with friends, we met yesterday for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on Switch. This mobile game started a new MarioKartBuddyNight. Amazing!

Re: Feature: A Guide To Shopping In Japan's Retro Gaming Paradise, Akihabara

LordVal

I'm traveling to Japan every year during the winter months since 2008 for snowboarding and stay at least for 5 days in Tokyo. Most of the time I'm playing videogames and sometimes I'm visiting the shops, but mostly the prices are way too high compared to stores outside of Tokyo. Trader is always good for newer games in almost perfect condition but you gave to add taxes.
What is not mentioned here is the big Tech Market on the Plaza. It has a videogamesection and the most hardware accessories I've ever seen in my life.

Re: Feature: Best Nintendo Switch Shmups

LordVal

No Sky Force and no Super Hydorah and no Rival Megagun and no Stardust Galaxy? Ikaruga, Darius Cozmic Collection, Steredenn are great, but the rest on the list are nothing compared to the one I mentioned.

Re: The Messenger

LordVal

@ryobi85 it is. Much easier than Ninja Gaiden, but much deeper and longer too. And it has a good sense of humor and the tunes are so catchy. For me it's one of the Top Ten Games of all time!

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (July 13th)

LordVal

Played The Messenger on Friday and beat it twice. Still one of the best games I have ever played and the DLC is great.
And tonight we played Blazing Chrome. We had so much fun, that we finished it three times. But our last run still doesn't pushed us into the highscorelist. Again tomorrow! This weekend was a blast!

Re: More Evidence Of Rumoured Switch Mini Surfaces Via Accessory Maker Bigben

LordVal

I'm not interested in a mini, more in a bigger Switch with bigger Joycons like the DeamonXMachina Grips.
But what I like is the hole debate about a mini. Not one news about it sounds real. Even here when it says bigben did this, but the picture on the box is different to the glove you can see.
And why smaller? Are we in 2000 again when every mobile has to be tiny as possible?
Even if the Switch Mini comes out I will not believe in it.

Re: Review: Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt of the NecroDancer Featuring The Legend of Zelda - A Beat-Based Wonder

LordVal

Bought it, because of this review. The last times I were so disappointed I bought Celeste, then Dead Cells, then Hollow Knight. And I really tried these games for many hours, but the feeling after the first 10 minutes still kept the same: boooooring!
Don't get me wrong. I'm really happy that so many gamers have fun with it. It's the reason why the Switch is so popular. Most of my friends love all the mentioned games. And it's the main reason why they still have their Switch and there is no better evening than the one on Saturday when we meet and play. I just can't agree that these are good games. But I think, I'm alone with my opinion.
