@anzzjam same here. The single player in Splatoon 2 was a no go for me until I played it in Handheld. I dont like motion at all, but with the Octo Expansion and Handheld it worked out fine for me and now I Splatoon 2 only with motion controls even on TV.
Its like in the sub-headline for me. I usually dont play the Switch in Handheld, but some games are handheld-only-titles imo, like Metroid Dread or the Splatoon 2 OctoExpansion or all the NES/SNES Classics.
Thats really sad. What an awful decision.
I know its worth it, but the additional membership and the 3-Button/6Button-Drama make me so unhappy about Nintendo.
At least I have Quake....and the 6-Button from 8bitdo.
I bought it and will maybe play it some day. Had it on Wii and I'm one of these gamers who are unable to play with motion controls, so the game saw my Wii after an hour never again.
I have the same issue. Since the update it shows this error code all the time and I can't download content from the eshop and I can't play online. Sometimes it works for 10 minutes, but then: 2123-1502.
I played the demo and I loved what I played, but then I had to backtrack to switch characters and it was 2/3 of the demo...sometimes destroying a good game is so easy.
God! I love my Virtual Boy! I will always remember when I bought one used with some games. My fovorites are: Wario Land, Red Alarm and Vertical Force. But the underrated Bound High, Nikochan Battle, Insmouse No Yakata, Space Squash and Jack Bros. are also some of my collection highlights.
I collected a lot different Consoles and Games. Then I sold every disc based System (except the GameCube) and after that some handheld and cartridge based systems. Sometimes I miss my Lightgun Collection, NeoGeo Collection or my Virtual Boy Collection, but for the rest: I'm absolute happy about so much space in my house and I reinvested the money in a 4 Player Cabinet, which grants me the best Buddy-nights since the 2000s. Still have more space left for other things (eg a Beamer) than ever before. I still own every Nintendo Console (except the Virtual Boy), the 360, PS3 and the Vita.
Yeah! Siegfried the Frontstürmer in an übel geile Edition! Sex sells, Nazis sells, Violence sells,.... Btw: Hard to find someone in 1984 who's name is Siegfried von Hammerstein or Dr. Hartmuth Griesgram.
But maybe just the German Nazis made everything that sounds German sounds Nazi as well. How about Grünkohlsuppe or Hatschi or Rasenmäher. Just let it sound "nazi" by screaming it and roll the R's like a champion.
They were sold for under 30€ at a discounter here, but almost nobody bought one, so they went down to 20€ after a weel. They are still there. Nothing to worry about, if you want one.
I don't like this strictly-limited-game-money-making-machine, but Undercover Cops is one of my most wanted game of all time. I never played it on original hardware and searched for it in every shop when I was in Japan, so I want it very much!
@sketchturner I'm using the D-Pad. That's why I tried my 8BitDo Pads, but it doesn't change a thing. The D-Pad on the Switch lite must be very accurate. That was a good tip. I tried the Hori Split Pad Pro and it works much better. I don't like to play the Switch in Handheld, but I think I make an exception this time.
@GregamanX I never wrote that you cannot change it. Of course you can run by hitting ZR, that's my point, but you have to hit ZR again and again and again - you can not just hold it to run. Because when you touch anything or change from left to right you stop running. It's not a Super-Mario-always-run-button-thingy.
@sketchturner down+attack doesn't work fluently. Therefore I bought a 8bitdo Saturn/Genesis6Button Controller, but it doesn't helped much. The other problem for me ist the run-button, because you have to press it again after changing the sides or touching anything. Should be Run always if you press ZR.
Door Kickers Action Squad with a friend and some Cyber Shadow, which gets more and more boring from level to level. I was really hyped for this title and it's still great, but the controls are destroying every fun.
I'm missing Ridge Racer so bad! The other games are all reasons why I choose the Nintendo Switch - not the main reason, but reasons. On the other hand: I own every single game of the mentioned series. That's we I still own all my PlayStations....in their boxes in my basement.
With an 50$ eShop Card for 38€ from seagm you get another 20% discount. I just bought it like the Contra Collection (for Hard Corps). Would be nice to have the N64 Versions too.
I can still remember when I rent SF II for SNES in a local video store when I was 14. After the weekend I spent all my time on earning money to buy this game. But I have mixed feelings about this docu. There are already so many good ones out there.
In my case it was a flood at my parents basement, which destroyed most of my videogame and Comic Book Collections in 2009. Collections I started at the age of 8 from 1986-2007. I used their basement, because ai had none at this time. Just parts of my Nintendo, Dreamcast, PC Engine and NeoGeo Collections survived. From there on everything is stored in floodproved boxes.
One of the most overrated WiiU games. It's a lot of fun and has good ideas, but the controls are far away from perfect and often doesn't make sense. The game is ok, but not that secret tip.
Imo the original and the GBC Versions are the best, but the question was "nowadays" and that's definetly on the Switch. The Game&Watch Version looks great, but the controls are awful.
Bought it and sent it back. The packaging is great, but the rest... Where to buy? Right now I see it everywhere. No reason to be scalped. Maybe we will see it at a 30$ pricetag next year. It's a typical dust catcher and non-seller.
Played a lot of Ni No Kuni. This game is just fantastic: not too easy, looks brilliant and the story wants you to play more! The Switch changed my view again about a game I didn't like in the past.
Ni No Kuni was on sale and I was always interested in this one. Played the whole night and didn't find a reason to go to sleep. I'm very impressed by this game and it's so much fun. I was about to buy Hyrule Warriors because it looks awesome, but I'm so glad about the demo - it's just bad and boring. Same with Pikmin. I'm so happy about demos. I was able to avoid ***** games so many times. I think 95% of all demos I've ever played kept me from buying.
@Jokerwolf same here! For me personally it was a fantastic year! Got paid, stayed at home, family time as much as you can get, empty Supermarkets, gas was cheap af...
But this game is ***** to my ears!
We had a lot of fun with this game yesterday and played it coop. Controls and variation of characters are massive. Can not confirm the bad rating. The funniest thing in the conclusion are the alternative recommendations. Two of the lame af games on Switch! Sorry, but the game, and I'm not a fan of GI Joe, is perfect for coop fans.
"I think..." that says everything. The Switch sold more than the Switch Lite and most of the Switch Owners play their Switch docked and I, personally, had never so much fun playing videogames, just because I can play the same games everywhere I want AND at home on my kickass big Television! Nintendo should focus more on bigger and better Joycons, a 4K Solution and Folders!!

Re: Review: The House Of The Dead: Remake - Control Issues Gnaw At Sega's Arcade Classic
A lightgun game without an accurate lightgun is just nonsense. The regular Controller isn't a good alternative like in a racing or fighting game.

@Tailesque in germany it arrived yesterday. G-Darius HD looks outstanding, but doesn't run smooth at all time. Still the fairest compilation imo.
