Used to pump so many quarters into this back in the day. When we wished that one day we’d have a home console that could play games that looked as good as arcade games.

Using the beginning of the month to get through some backlog and then jumpin on Rise. Though I really do want Story of Seasons and Sea of Solitude.

I’m in....uhhhhhh....where do I sign my life away?

Really a shame, as I was genuinely waiting for patches to pick this up. Bad look though, to blame the Switch hardware. They’ve done all they WILL do, not all they CAN do. Meanwhile Divinity 2 continues to be one of my favorite RPGs on Switch.

My family has a Switch and Switch Lite and we’ll be buying another Switch in the next month or 2. By far one of my favorite consoles of all time.

Never been so happy to be living in Japan! Gonna be an expensive day, since I want that controller and the amiibos also. 🤯

Bayonetta 3 update: Official title IS Bayonetta 3 and it definitely has something to do with Bayonetta.

I have 2 Switches in my home and am getting ready to buy another for MH:Rise. And if the Pro releases at year’s end I will definitely be picking that up then or whenever it arrives. Switch is fast becoming one of my favorite consoles of all time, like someone else mentioned as well.

If he had fun with it, more power to him, but there’s a reason CDPR is in damage control mode and it’s not because the game was overwhelmingly received well.

If It happens...yay. If not...pretty much the same ol same ol. Rise is coming in March so I’m set either way.

I’m having a blast with the demo. Wirebug takes a little getting used to, but it’s great having a mobile MH again. Want the full game even more now.😬 Cmon March!

Day 1. Love the look of the game and the new monsters. Really want to get my hands on the demo to try out Hunting Horn, but Great Sword’s crazy mobility with the wire bug is my main for sure.

@ChaosBadger777 It looks way more World than GU so I don’t think you have much to worry about, but we’ll have a demo soon anyway.

So for those who have played it on Switch, what price point would you say it’s worth it to pick it up? Or is it worth picking it up at all in its current state? I don’t have any other way to play it at the moment. Been on the fence a while for this one.

I have little doubt that a proper monster hunter title is coming to switch. They lost a bunch of the Japanese market (millions of copies) with world being a home console exclusive, so I’m sure they’re looking to get them back. And with the American market finally taking the monster hunter franchise seriously, there’s a ton of potential.

Why even bother EA.....
Is this just an excuse, so that they can say “We tried, but Switch owners didn’t support us.”?
My expectations were already pretty low, because I didn’t want to get disappointed. Leave it to EA to find a way.

I’m guessing you haven’t been a Nintendo fan that long. The last 3 gens have been the same story. Strong first party support and weaker on the 3rd party side, with the tech being essentially a gen behind Sony and Microsoft. Of course one of the draws now is it’s both a mobile and a home console, but naturally, again, compromises have to be made. Sorry if it didn’t end up what you’re expecting, but you’re not going to end up with many sympathizers here.

I love the Switch and keep giving me the remasters, because it’s currently my only console, and it gives me a chance to play some of the classics.

That being said, I never cared for Crystal Chronicles on the GameCube the first time around, so it’ll be a pass for me.

And I like Coco for the exact same reason. Kind of a zombie villager to me.

In fact I wish I could get Coco for a villager then gift them a ton of gyroids so they had them piled up in their home.😆

That is incorrect. My wife is Okinawan. I’m currently living in Okinawa and I’ve been a part of 3 family member’s funerals and nothing remotely resembling those statues has been anywhere near the tombs where the funeral urns are placed.

A quick google search shows they were used in mainland japan a loooong time ago.

On topic. I really hope they bring these back. I love having them singing away when I enter my house. It’s like they’re welcoming me home.😄

GTA V....that game just prints money. Great to see AC:NH doing so well though.

It is kind of an issue that the game almost pushes you towards time travel. Redd and Gulliver should really be a guaranteed weekly spawn considering how difficult it is to get their items.

I loved having all the balloons personally. It is kinda crazy though. “Oh! Sakura petal. Gotta nab it. Drat! Balloon sound. Where is it? All the way over there!? Ok Sakura petal first then....what?! Another balloon?! Now a villager wants to talk to me?! Aaaaaaaaaaaaah!”

@Kyranosaurus I’m in the exact same boat. Bunny Day is meh, but I LOVE the sakura themed stuff so I’m pretty bummed that I might miss the recipes before they get a patch out.

Them having to explain it, is more humorous than the actual joke.😆

Yeah, my kids and I are having a blast with it. Even my non gamer daughter wants to play it. It really does get it hooks into you. I’ll put it down to take a break and pick it up 2 min. later thinking, “I’ll just fish a little bit more.”

@Anti-Matter I’m living in Japan right now and do a lot of downloading games from both the US and JP eshop and the only time it ever counts as a seperate copy is if English isn’t offered on the Japanese version (Dragon Quest 11, Monster Hunter Gen Ult to name a couple). Otherwise if I buy it from one or the other it will show up “purchased” on both eshops even though I only bought one copy. Regardless though, your money so do your thing, but just a heads up.

I’m just happy that it seems like those who were vocal about the original design of Sonic, actually came out to support the movie when the director/studio responded. It’s entertaining and fun. Not every movie has to be Godfather quality.

And it’s SO great to see 90’s Jim Carey again! He looks like he had a lot of fun with the role.

@NintendoFan990 Yep, despite the fact that it only has a 49% with top critics (Birds of Prey is at 67% with top critics 😂).

Excited for this. Definitely gonna see it. I just don’t think critics have any idea what entertainment is. Not saying this is award worthy, but a film doesn’t have to be to be entertaining. And after critics trashed Joker and praised Birds of Prey, you know something is wrong with movie reviews these days.

The real problem with Rian is he doesn’t want discourse. He won’t accept ANY criticism as valid and if you do criticize his work your a toxic man baby. You can’t just crap all over canon and original characters and expect every fan to worship the ground you walk on. What he did to Luke was enough to hate the script let alone any of the other horrible decisions in that film. But JJ and Kathleen deserve just as much blame (if not more in some cases) for this train wreck.

I miss the days when episode 2, mitichlorians and jar jar were all I had to complain about the series.

Have been loving everything about Alien Isolation. The controls haven’t been an issue at all. Sucks that there are people who are sensitive to the slightest input delay, in that it prevents them from fully enjoying a game, but for me, it’s been an absolute joy to play. Incredibly solid port. So glad I finally decided to buy it.

Is it wrong I was hoping this would be a complete mess so I wouldn’t have to add it to my must have list? Sure, NOW Ubisoft decides to get its act together when I’m killing my wallet during Christmas season. Sigh.

I’ve had this on my wish list foreeeeeeveeeeeer. Finally bit the bullet and preordered it. Downloading as we speak...er...as I type. Super excited to get my face chewed on by a xenomorph.👾

I still believe that they were developing this for the 3ds originally and changed course when the Switch took off. It does have a “rushed/incomplete feel” to the game. However, it doesn’t mean it isn’t fun and it does have good things about it. Stuff like this just adds to the overall perception though, that we’re not getting a really polished product like we’re used to. I hope they bounce back for the next true installment, since sword and shield 1.5 next year probably isn’t going to win anyone over.

@bolt05 They can win by making a quality port. Pretty simple actually. 2k has proven quality sports game ports are very doable.

Double Dash remains my favorite MARIO Kart to this day. My wife and I had so much fun racing against each other. GameCube was great.

Nintendo, between the SNES game additions (my only minor complaint with the online service) and the incredible 3rd party support, you’ve got at least one extremely happy customer here. I can’t think of any time I’ve been happier to be a Nintendo Console owner.

Freak! I JUST bought Fire Emblem (finally) so it would figure that some of my all time favorite games would come out this week for free. LTTP is definitely first for me followed by Metroid.

Very mixed feelings about this. Black Flag is my second favorite of the series, but I’m just not super confident they can do a decent port. Crossing my fingers it ends up better than AC3.

I’d actually really like an Ace Attorney 4-6 Collection announcement, but that will probably be next year.

For something a little more realistic, I’d just be happy with SNES games for the Switch tbh.

Aaaaaaaand of course it’s September.......

Put another one on the list. Just too fun of a game to pass up though and the price is right.

Needs some Kaiju dlc. Regardless, looks like a lot of fun. Could see my son and I tearing it up. Glad it has couch co-op.
