I'm 10 hours in and I'm absolutely loving the game. I'm still deciding if I like the fast-paced frenzy of DOOM over this more tactical offering but it looks amazing on Switch. If you're one the fence and don't mind it being full-priced, I encourage you to jump in.
@PicaroRob - l don't think so. At least I haven't spotted an option to disable it. It's actually not very intense and I only ever notice it when I turn very quickly.
@StuTwo And Switch will blow past PS4 at some point. It will gain ground during the summer but then rocket past once Pokemon and Smash release. The PS4 numbers are a result of MHW.
I think he made a good.choice in terms of art style. Gives the game a very unique aesthetic. Really looking forward to how it turns out. I have no doubt it will turn out nicely.
@Zyph I was hoping for more mechs in Xenoblade 2 but there weren't many at all. Guess they felt like taking a step back from the first game and X.
Game looks cool. It was already on my wishlist for about a week now but wanted to wait for a review before picking it up. I'm going to go ahead and jump in.
I already have this on 3DS and double dipped for it on Wii U. Not going to triple dip. I have SteamWorld Dig 2 on Switch. And I'm going to buy SteamWorld Heist as it's the only game in the series I'm missing.
If you haven't played this game though, you need to grab it on Switch ASAP. It's fantastic. Then buy SteamWorld Dig 2.
I'm still in awe at what Panic Button was able to do and the Switch to be such a fantastic piece of tech able to run this game. I have no problem with the game run at 30fps and sub-HD at times; it looks amazing. Having not played the game last year and for the first time on Switch, I'm very impressed. Awesome game.
They have too much good software out right and it's unfortunate they cannot capitalize on all this demand. The Japanese are having lotteries. It's nuts. I would hate for Splatoon 2 launch to be botched due to few units and there's MHXX right after that. I don't know what Nintendo can do. It's out of their control right now but sounds like they think things will be better in coming months. Here's hoping.
@Haru17 I really don't think Capcom would split the base and sacrifice portability with a PS4 version of MH5. I think it's just wishful thinking. If I'm wrong, I'll eat crow. But I don't think I will be.
@Dakt It's like any up-res'd MH port. I would've hoped they would've bucked the trend but I'm fine if not. And this is no way indicative of MH5 being on a different platform, that's just wishful thinking for PS4 fans.
I watch the digital foundry comparison video then looked at 10 minute gameplay clips... I do not like rhythm games but I had to download this today. I love the music, the concept, and the visuals. It's so trippy. I want to play this high.
@Oubie Me too. But nowadays I need to reduce clutter. I have so many NES, SNES, N64, Gamecube, DS, 3DS, Wii, and Wii U games lying around I'm trying to go digital with what I can (especially older games) and sell my physical copies.
@Oubie I do have a 3DS but I would rather own them digitally. So I'm holding out for Konami making them available on VC, as unlikely as that is now. But if it isn't going to happen, I'll track down physical copies.
You guys left out the best Batman game on SNES. Adventures of Batman and Robin alone makes this a Batman win on SNES. And Sunsoft Batman on NES is a classic.
Nah, this game is a 9 out of 10. It's really, really good. Only drawback is you can't combine grabs with spins. This game was awesome in N64 when it released.
I think Renegade Kid makes good games, but I think using Moon, Xeodrifter, and Dementium as barometers are kind of misleading. I mean, they know what numbers they need to reach to cover dev costs and pay salaries, but doing this with two DS rereleases with minimal improvements isn't exactly the best way to go about achieving that goal. I think the old 2D retro look of Mutant Mudds might be getting a little played out too, which might have affected Xeodrifter. We'll see if it affects Mutand Mudds, though that game has a solid following from the first game.
@MC808 I played up to the underwater lake and then decided to stop playing. I like the game, but it's a little to old-school for me. I decided to knock off all of the more recent JRPGs I have in my backlog instead.
I picked up the first episode of Moon Chronicles and skipped the latter three. Wasn't really feeling the game much. I am definitely going to pick up Dementium though. I snagged a copy of Xeo-Drifter on 3DS too. Suprised that didn't do well for them. I have yet to play it.
Ugh, just realizing this is physical copies... not eShop. My bad. I'm bombarded with e-deals lately so my mind interpreted this info in that way as well.
Yeah. Wii VC didn't have these issues. I don't know how Nintendo botched the emulation like this. At least the games are playable, but I'd like them to try to make it look more like the Hi-Def NES above.
I'm appalled by how crappy NES games look on Wii U VC. So blurry and dark. N64 games looks way too dark as well. Only saving grace is M2's handling of GBA and NDS games. At least Nintendo did a decent job with SNES games.
@ravens326 I'm right with you man. This type of speed run is pretty weak to me.
I respect a speedrun based on skill and knowing the game inside out - not this. I applaud these guys for having the patience to find these glitches. But making use of them for gamebreaking speed runs is pretty lame imho.

I just checked NA eShop and Deus Ex is still full price. When is this supposed to go live?
And the game's normal price is $49.99, not $39.99.
I know 'cause I'm looking right at it now and it's been on my wishlist for two years now, lol - I've been waiting for a price drop for that long.
