Nintendo Switch

It’s a well-trodden discussion at this point that Nintendo Switch hardware is exceedingly difficult to come by; unless you happen to visit a store early in the morning when a new shipment comes in, it’s pretty much guaranteed you’ll be hard pressed to find one on shelves. This is something of a double-edged sword, as it’s obviously a sign that the Switch is performing very well with consumers, but it also makes it difficult for most consumers to actually see what all the fuss is about.

Nintendo of Japan just posted an update to its website where it addressed this issue, hat tip Nintendo Everything for translating it. First off, the company apologized to consumers and distributors for the shortages which have plagued the system since launch. The message then went on to reassure fans by saying that new shipments of Switches are sent out each week, and that production will continue to ramp up more in each of the coming months.

What do you think? Have you still been unable to find a Switch? How much do you think the low supply has been hurting sales? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
