"Winning" E3 is so easy for Nintendo to obtain. All they have to do is a have a decent Smash reveal, show some BotW2 footage, and 20 minutes of Mario Golf.
Like how it's a bad idea to release any major game in close proximity to a GTA launch because it might get drowned out, the same principle applies here.
And please stop saying anyone is "mad" at anything. Bringing up a point about the release date of a game is just that.
It's not direct competition, but the following week, we know what's going to be tearing up the charts and SMT5 is being positioned as a big game as well.
What would that entail? You're really speaking generally here like making consoles is simple especially with a concept like the Switch.
Like what you're asking for affects the bottom line of the company and passes on to the consumer.
They can probably make a decent powered Switch now, but I assure you that it was very costly to do what you wanted when the Switch was in planning stages.
Y'all should know how Nintendo thinks in terms of how they view power with tech by now.
They'd rather do something creative with tech instead of sinking money into power and making a console like the competition because it boxes them in and costs money.
There's no way we would have had the Switch if Nintendo decided that their console at the time was the same specs as the PS4 and XB1 without costing them and the consumer.
They learned their lesson with the N64 and the GameCube that chasing power wasn't the best approach and that creating new gameplay experiences was better.
-Nonsense hostility claims because you feel
attacked that a person dare brings up a rebuttal.
-You don't know what build of the game that was (and it was obviously very early) so to infer that will be the final product is foolish when you should wait for the final product.
-Game Freak is bad because Pokemon games haven't met your expectations as to where it should be, but all their games work, isn't broken, or very glitchy at launch.
-Mentioned an instance of a 22 year old game that was still in development as an indictment on GF.
-Brings up the nonsensical "corporate bootlicker" ad hominem attack to bolster your argument coupled with your wishes that GF be on the same page of devs like EA, Ubisoft, ect.
Amazon, GameStop, Target, and Best Buy already had their pre-orders out and they sold out as expected.
I ended getting a pre-order from Target, but don't fret over £35, my UK bois, as some of us is spending upwards of $33 based on online shipping and taxes.
And remember, no one has a gun to your head to buy these items.
You either want them, or you don't, but you definitely don't need them.
Genshin Impact runs on an iPhone 6, so to say the Switch, which runs Monster Hunter Rise, The Witcher 3, and even Crysis Remastered, is the problem, is a bit suspicious.
People keep saying, misinforming everyone, that this is a QoL feature, no, IT'S A CHEAT!
The Amiibo circumvents the design of the game by taking the quick travel statues out of the equation and is uneeded because statues are everywhere in the game to get back to Skyloft.
It's just a convenience feature for $25 which people will rarely use.
Stop spreading misinformation about that Amiibo feature.
Skyward Sword already has fast travel, but that Amiibo enables you to go to Skyloft from anywhere, which is more like a cheat as it makes you circumvent a design aspect of the game.
You don't need that Amiibo to play the game at all and it's not suddenly 10x better with it.
Skyward Sword has an abundance of save points that take you back to Skyloft, so having the ability of the Amiibo, without the Amiibo, essentially invalidates key design of the game.
I don't think alot of people thought through what that Amiibo meant in terms of how the game already is.
Yeah, this company makes shovelware nonsense for the Switch, but I hate when people act like this is an indictment on Nintendo and blow it out of proportion for whatever reason.

Re: Roundup: Here's What Was Revealed In Nintendo Direct E3 2021
Metroid Dread being real is a dream come true!
Everything else was icing on the cake and with that being said, Nintendo "won" E3.
Re: Nintendo Ambassadors Are Receiving "Extreme Excitement" Packages Ahead Of The E3 Direct
@Friendly
It was cool, but they needed to have that show more than anyone else at E3 to prove why XBOX is relevant.
Personally, it was filled with an abundance of CGI and first person shooters and that doesn't quite do it for me, but their future looks bright.

That's how low the bar is this year💀

Don't be surprised if you see Gran Turismo on this thing.

The logistical planning for game releases are done in advance, so this story doesn't add up.

Not gonna lie, I only like Ninja Gaiden Sigma, anyway 🤷

It's a cold game 🤷

Like I said, I hope I'm wrong about this.
Re: Shin Megami Tensei V Release Date Seemingly Leaked Ahead Of Nintendo's E3 Direct
Nice! However, BD/SP comes out the following week, so that could completely ruin SMT5's momentum, especially in Japan.
Hope not, tho.

Re: Memory Pak: My Nostalgic Sonic 2 Playthrough Was A Treasured Gaming Moment
Nice little article.
That just goes to show that the good ones never get old.
In terms of Sonic games, I could pop in Sonic 3 in the ol Genesis (Megadrive) and get the same enjoyment every single time.
Re: There Might Be A Bloodstained: Ritual Of The Night Sequel In The Works
Sad to say, but I'm not interested after what happened with the Switch version.
The Kickstarter campaign wasn't that great either.
Re: Soapbox: Pokémon Legends: Arceus' Release Date Worries Me, But Hopefully I'm Wrong

How do you know they seem rushed? 🤔
There's nothing to indicate that.
Re: Soapbox: Pokémon Legends: Arceus' Release Date Worries Me, But Hopefully I'm Wrong
@Kimyonaakuma
Two different teams worked on each Pokemon game.
ILCA for BD/SP
GameFreak for Legends
Re: Soapbox: Pokémon Legends: Arceus' Release Date Worries Me, But Hopefully I'm Wrong
"The truth is we'll likely never know how early that build was, and we may never know how long the game's actually been in development."
Thanks! This comment just killed the authors argument and should be directed to all the armchair developers in the room.

Re: Monster Hunter Rise Has Now Shipped Over Seven Million Copies Worldwide
Shipped=Sales according to the industry, so I'm rolling with that.
This really goes to show what you can do if you dedicate some time making games designed to run on the Switch.
Monster Hunter Rise is at at the top with all the other premium Switch games and it's a AAA game in it's own right on any console.
Re: Rumour: Nintendo Switch 'Pro' Reveal Expected Before E3, Out This Year
All I gotta say is that I'll buy it if it ever materialized.
We've heard every and anything about the "Switch Pro" for a while now and I'm just ready to see an actual product.
Re: Nintendo Reminds Us The Switch Online Service Now Has Over 100 Classic Games
I like how people argue for conserving games, but rag on NSO every chance they get.
Especially when a title they like isn't on the thing yet.
NSO may be lacking in some areas, but it does give me a chance to play a few old-school titles I've never played before.

You don't have to lie about me, bro.
I addressed most of your points within that huge wall of text lol!

Have a fantastic day.

Did I get everything?
Re: Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl And Legends: Arceus Get Confirmed Release Dates
@Yorumi
What do you mean by "bad developer?"
What I do know is that Game Freak has released functional games that aren't broken at launch.
Just because they don't meet whatever expectations you have for their games, doesn't mean they're bad.
And my point stands. We know little to nothing about the development of Legends other than an obvious early build of the game.
However, I do hope they show off more of the game at E3.
Re: Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl And Legends: Arceus Get Confirmed Release Dates
I like how everyone seems to be a backroom developer with their thoughts about Legends.
No one knows what build that was that they decided to show, and no one knows how long the game has been in development.

You collect the cards?
If not, I'd avoid paying for one of the most useless Amiibo features ever.

Re: Rumour: Genshin Impact For Switch Reportedly Delayed Due To "Weaker Hardware"
@Pod
Ain't nowhere to cut if you use the moble game as a base.
The Switch runs Warframe for crying out loud.
Re: Rumour: Genshin Impact For Switch Reportedly Delayed Due To "Weaker Hardware"
@Miu
The game runs on an iPhone 6 and some mid range android devices, so the "Switch is too weak" argument isn't passing the smell test.
Re: Rumour: Genshin Impact For Switch Reportedly Delayed Due To "Weaker Hardware"
Genshin Impact runs on an iPhone 6, so to say the Switch, which runs Monster Hunter Rise, The Witcher 3, and even Crysis Remastered, is the problem, is a bit suspicious.

You don't need that Amiibo to play the game at all and it's not suddenly 10x better with it.
Re: Talking Point: When Was The Last Time A Game Cracked Your Top Five?
Ngl, the last 10/10 game I've played was probably Celeste, but my top 5 is this:
1) Soul Calibur (Dreamcast)
2) Metroid Prime (GameCube)
3 ) Street Fighter Alpha 2 (ARC/SNES/PSX)
4) Donkey Kong Country 2 (SNES)
5) Xenogears (PSX)
Special shout out to Killer 7, Melee, and Final Fantasy Tactics, tho!
Re: The Zelda & Loftwing Skyward Sword amiibo Will Cost More Than Regular Figures

That doesn't even make sense, tho.

I don't think alot of people thought through what that Amiibo meant in terms of how the game already is.
Re: Looks Like The Zelda & Loftwing Skyward Sword amiibo Will Cost More Than Other Figures
@Kaori-chan
Clever!
Go treat yourself to something nice after that one.
Perhaps an Amiibo? 🤔
Re: Looks Like The Zelda & Loftwing Skyward Sword amiibo Will Cost More Than Other Figures
The solution is simple:
If you want it, buy it.
If it's too costly, don't buy it.
It's lame watching adults whine over non essential products.

Re: UK Charts: New Pokémon Snap Tumbles To Tenth, But Nintendo Takes Half Of Top Ten

Who thought Pokemon Snap was gonna sell super crazy? 🤔
It's gonna sell decently and that's all anyone can hope for.
Anywhoo, Subnautica: Below Zero at #5 is super interesting to me.
Re: Soapbox: Be Happy, This Is The True Golden Age Of Gaming
The "Golden Ages" of gaming to me was the 16bit era, which actually had a tailwind all the way to gen 6.
You see, back during those times, developers were more creative and a flop didn't mean your company was destroyed.
Now everyone is following the same templates because that's what brings in the money.
Re: Metroid Prime Trilogy Switch Port? Unlikely, Says Former Retro Studios Dev
I wouldn't take this guy all the way seriously.
Nintendo already proved that if they tried, games made for the Wii can be ported with a degree of Ingenuity (Skyward Sword HD).
Also, there were rumors that Prime Trilogy was already done, but that's not to say that it wasn't/isn't difficult to do.
