Re: Rumour: Switch Virtual Console Was Apparently Nintendo's "Original Plan"

Johnion

@LuigiBlood the problem is, we’re 7 years into this subscription.

People that really want these games are enthousiasts, and most of them have been subscribed for these 7 years.

Add the fact that we’re getting into another 7-8 years of this model soon and how they barely license any new games now, and it’s easy to see how this is not a good deal.

Even most casuals want to play a few games only.

Re: Miyamoto Thinks Mario Movie's Critical Reception Contributed To The "Buzz"

Johnion

@Jiggies Yeah, thats what is weird to me. Like seriously read most of these reviews, they're talking about this as if it should be an independent movie talking about a dying horse who has cancer.

This is a freaking Mario movie, it's not supposed to have the deepest plot, people want to watch it for fun. But these critics are so disconnected that it's hard to believe. Thing is, most of the time when people like something, they want to bash it to attract more views.

Re: Poll: How Many 3DS Consoles Have You Owned?

Johnion

Started with the first model but once I was done with Ocarina of Time 3D I didn’t see the point of that $250 system and resold it as soon as I could.

As soon as I saw them releasing the 3DS XL Zelda a Link Between Worlds, I had to buy it and completely falled in love with it. By that point they had so many great games on it that it surpassed the Wii and Wii U in just a few years.

Finally, to continue the trend, I had to buy the New 3DS Xl Triforce edition to complete my Zelda collection. One of the best hardware Nintendo ever produced without a doubt.

I clearly loved it more than my Wii U, but the Switch did change my perspective a bit now and I stopped loving it as much as I did before, but overall it is a great system regardless.

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Fire Emblem Engage?

Johnion

20 hours in I have to say it’s one of the best Fire Emblem I’ve played. I just couldn’t stop playing, the story and characters are not so interesting in the first hours but once you reach the second region it’s so much better. The emphasis on combat this time is also a big plus compared to Three Houses.

I also really love the Emblem system, it adds something to the combat and connects it to prior games.

Re: The Switch Is Here To Stay, Says Nintendo Boss Shuntaro Furukawa

Johnion

@TheWingedAvenger You realize they’re already a commercial success? People want powerful hardware, the gpu market and the PS5 and Series X success are the proof of that. Gaming has changed and merged into the kind of evolution we’d see on PC hardware, and that’s no surprise, as the new systems are even using its architecture.

Re: Random: Did You Know About This Amazing Water Effect In The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild?

@UsurperKing I absolutely agree with you, Switch is wonderful. I was just trying to show him his vision is subjective and I’m allowed to enjoy the gamepad features, something he doesn’t like, as much as he’s allowed to like taking his Switch at work.

I’m a big fan of the quality of life the gamepad adds to a game like Wind Waker. To me, that’s worth more than being able to take the game anywhere.
