Yeah usually translations don't bother me TOO much (apparently people were complaining Dave the diver felt off, but that game seemed completely fine to me...), but this game, I'm just noticing oddities all the time, makes reading difficult sometimes because I'm going back saying "...wait, what?", lol
@thenikdavies It's not you, it's Nintendo, their online has LAWAYS been terrible. You'd think that after them making it a paid service thing, it would get much better....and...nope, their online is still terrible.
Okami 2, please happen...I'll be honest Okamiden I didn't like all that much...like..it was OKAY, but...very forgettable...and I don't think I even finished it. lol
Looks like NL missed a game, "Yeah Those Games" apparently got a sequel that released yesterday. Kinda curious about it, but the first game did have mixed feelings from everyone so I never went for it...I kinda want to go for one of them, though. lol
I miss this game, it was fun going outside just to take out some vampires. (it was also fun finding out that I could just cheat using a plasma ball, lol)
...I feel like these articles should allow a few spots for some NL members on here, just to give them some spotlight. I dunno, maybe use the forums and pick out a few replies there for the article?
Anyways aside from a few mobile/idle games, I've been playing Dave the Diver.
@Jireland92 I checked the Steam forums for Refine and someone mentioned that some of the art in Regeneration has been redone and apparently has been, uh, censored more? So, um, yeah. >.>
Maybe I should try getting this version, I have Refine on Steam, but never spent too much on it. I just know that starting out is a pain in the butt because you can easily run out of money.
@SpeedRunRocks I just like it because i flat-out suck at bullet hells and those types of shmups...
Despite all the chaos Crimzon Clover has, I'm somehow able to get through it all, which is bizarre. It was even the first one I could get through without using a continue and fight the hidden/secret final boss or whatever. lol
I have it, there was this moment a couple of years ago where I was just in a...classic arcade shmup mood, so I bought a bunch of them. A lot of them were...fine, but...eh. (Crimson Clover I still consider the best one, lol)
Been wanting a new Rune Factory game on Switch...I loved 4. ... Yeah, I know that the Switch does have a new Rune Factory game...the performance is terrible...I just couldn't continue with that game...ugh.
But yeah, I'll keep an eye on this one, hopefully it runs well on Switch...I'm still irritated that to this day 5 STILL HASN'T BEEN PATCHED.
A somewhat good game that was ruined for me because of all the bugs and glitches that I constantly encountered...including crashes, and glitches that required me to relaunch the game. For whatever reason I was the only person in existence that has these problems for whatever reason...which makes no sense.
I tried the Shin-Chan game and, eh...I think these types of games aren't for me...kinda like with Animal Crossing, it just gets boring after a while.
I think I'm also used to the Funimation localization of the anime and the name changes/differences and stuff was putting me off as well. Shin himself shouldn't be THIS tame. xp
sighs I feel like Nintendo is going too far with this...the stuff where people are making money off of stuff I get, or remakes of official games...but fan games, mods...even fan art...just...leave them alone...
Only downside to online updates is that we sometimes find some amazing glitch or something only to lose it shortly after. Like with Smash Ultimate's Infinite Assist Trophy glitch, lol
@Overzeal I'm keeping an eye on the game via the wiki and other people who are into this game, I'm hoping they'll update this version with the missing content, because this is just stupid. :/
@Picola-Wicola Yeah I watched let's plays last year when it originally released and lost interest in it quickly, took me until now to realize that there's a demo. lol
Though I did bought Battle Cats Unite to support the localization here...anyone else should wait...or just buy the Japanese version instead (which still has English and is much cheaper anyways).
For whatever reason Ponos released the International version with less content and doubled the price. No Heavenly Tower, no Advent bosses, and is missing some Ubers I believe as well...
I prefer to buy VC games and actually keep them, not pay for a subscription for a service that doesn't even work a lot of the time. So yeah, I'd rather just play those old games elsewhere, PC, Steam, my SNES Classic...better than wasting money on a crap service, lol
And yes, I played the 99 games...for like, 30 minutes before getting bored with them. The only one I liked was Mario 35 and Nintendo of course removed that game from existence.
Not to mention, all the lag...and connection errors...only time I don't have those issues is with 3rd party games like Monster Hunter...but even then I just prefer to play those games alone.
So yes, as I've said multiple times throughout the years...NSO is a complete joke.
Decided to play the game some more now, forget what I've said about the difficulty spike...I haven't truly reached a wall yet. After you grab some new units and stuff and level them up, equip them with stuff...you won't have too much trouble.
I ended up with a (I assume Rare) unit that costs about 240 AP and whenever I send him out I pretty much win with barely any issues. lol
Hoping that one day they'll still bring back NES Remix, I really just don't care for speedrunning. I liked Remix because of the weird stuff they made for challenges to mix things up a bit.
I haven't played this game too much (I haven't played the Switch that much in general lately for some reason...), but yeah...it has...difficulty problems. Something that Battle Cats did on the Switch (which is finally coming to NA eshop next week) was balance things out a bit since they removed the micro-transaction stuff as well. No idea if this game did the same thing.
....Even if this came to Switch I'd still would never touch it, there are far better Pokemon-likes on Switch...you know, games that actually TRIED to be unique and do their own thing and not use AI to create their characters. (or simply rip off them, lol)
Was thinking of trying that one, too...only way for them to fix it is to not make it Rhythm Heaven and it kinda ruins the whole point of Heaven Studio...
@Yoshif3 There are differences, but I can see how it's based on that game's map, though.
It does seem the Lost Woods was replaces with a new volcanic mountain area. Either that or that's where Death Mountain is now and we have a new mountain area taking Death Mountain's area...lol
I wonder if other hunters will show up in this game, they should try bringing back multiplayer as well. Game wasn't perfect, but I did kinda enjoy Hunter's multiplayer, lol.
But yeah seeing Sylux return is making me think, what if more bounty hunters from Hunters show up? They could bring back a multiplayer mode based on that game. xp

Re: PSA: The New Denpa Men Is Available Now On The Switch eShop
@Zach777 For future reference...I think the @'s have to be there from the start in order for the notification to work, lol

Re: Digital Foundry Hails Luigi's Mansion 3 As The Best-Looking Exclusive Switch Game
Yeah, it was either Luigi's mansion 3 or New Pokemon Snap.
I would go with Monster Hunter Rise as the best looking Switch game, but they are talking about Switch exclusive games here, so...eh. lol
Re: PSA: The New Denpa Men Is Available Now On The Switch eShop
...Yeah this game doesn't exist, apparently.
