I'm still not completely sure what to think about this game. It looks promising but it seems like it just came out of nowhere and it's releasing too soon.

Stranger Things is a joke. The whole thing is a freaking montage of '80s nostalgia; absolutely 0 originality. I could go on about the poor writing and the absurd plot holes but it would take me all day.

I'm sure nobody cares or needs to know what type of girls I like. That being the case it might be easier for some people to understand the fact that I don't give an ***** who they like, how they like to dress or what they do in their bedrooms. They're trying to turn their franchises into brands so the games keep selling well after the great developers retire.

I don't have the heart to say a game I enjoy is bad. If you have fun with a game then it's doing exactly what it's supposed to do, therefore it can't be "bad".

@Retrogamindaddy I'm sure there are many good rap tracks (I'd be interested in listening to the ones that you mentioned) and I do listen to some old school stuff sometimes. I'm talking mostly about the modern SoundCloud rappers; there are just so many of them, since pretty much everyone has access to a PC and a mic. I live in a big coastal city in the US, so you can probably imagine how fed up I am with the self promoting lightweights I hear in the street everyday.

Performance always seems to be an issue with big games. And some people still believe the Breath of the Wild sequel will be exclusive to the current Switch.

@Spiders Of course they wouldn't make as many Metroidvanias if they didn't think people will buy them; that's part of my point. Most of them are just more of the same and lack originality.

@Spiders I didn't say it's easy; I said it's easier. And I know what I'm talking about and how new devs seem to gravitate to this kind of genre. Funny you mention the music which tends to be forgettable at best.

People keep making these games because they're easier to make and program. Just like anyone can be a musician these days just by talking with a nasal voice over a crappy "beat". No creativity involved; just imitation.

@johnvboy It's not supposed to play like any old golf game, and you know it. Just like Mario Kart is not just a racing game that plays like a racing game.

@64supermario The Advance games are some of the best in the series, in my opinion.

I doubt there's a single user on this site who has played them all from beginning to end.

Just remember Nintendo officially said there wasn't going to be a new Nintendo DS model they day before the DSi was announced.

@PickledKong64 I reread my last comment and I can't seem to find the insults you're talking about.

And I repeat, OoT's Hyrule is mostly empty but it connects the different locations of the game. There are actual places to go to, with their own special music and charm, whereas Breath of the Wild you're just left to explore the big empty space without actual destinations. Even the original Zelra gave us a better sense of adventure.

@PickledKong64 Blind nostalgia? If your best argument to defend BotW's empty wasteland is bringing up a 22 year old game then what does that make you? Ocarina of Time executed the genre perfectly. Breath of the Wild lacks most of the elements that define the franchise.

You can be young and still be able to appreciate older games for what they are, but you probably lack a good level of perception. I was born long after the original Zelda and ALttP came out and I still thini they are better games than Skyward Sword and Breath of the Wild.

@PickledKong64 Yes, I do have some thoughts on that. OoT Hyrule Field is the space that connects all the places in the game, which happens to have an excellent structure. This Hyrule also has amazing BGM. You're probably too young to even understand how impressive Ocarina's Hyrule was at the time.

At this point all they have to do is give the fans twice the empty space and they'll eat it up. A sad time for actual Zelda fans.

Hopefully Battalion Wars 3 will be next.

Who cares? I can't believe people are losing their minds over some boring looking DLC that's gonna take 5 years to come out. I just want Nintendo to release that stuff and be over with this whole Breath of the Wild nightmare so we can finally get a good ZELDA game.

The box art is so beautiful I'm buying the game no matter what; it reminds me of Super Mario Galaxy 2.

Chamber of Secrets for GameCube is not only the best Harry Potter game but a pretty great game in general.

Maybe the "fan" should use his genius to create his own game and turn it into a billion dollar franchise if he is so creative.

I scrolled down and read quite a few comments and couldn't find anyone talking about the fact that people these days get too upset over mean comments and messages. The people who send said messages are dumb and immature as are the ones who take them seriously.

We should've been able to buy any Nintendo title from previous systems on Switch since March 2017.

I'm fine with the current UI. I actually preferred the N64/NGC days when you'd just turn the system on to play games. The Wii Menu was pretty cool too. All I want at this point is for Nintendo to announce actual new games. E3 can't come soon enough.

They need to get rid of Aonuma and hire someone who isn't obsessed with Elder Scrolls and Monster Hunter.

Who cares if it affects the eShop (or any other platform)? If it's good for gamers then that's all that matters.

To all the kids trying to defend BotW. I assure you if Witcher 3 had come out as A Legend of Zelda game you all would be saying it's the best in the series, you frauds. Breath of the Wild crapped all over what makes a Zelda game a Zelda game, which at this point has come to become a genre on its own. You people have 0 understanding of what makes Zelda so special, from it's structure to its great music.

But do go on and keep pretending to be fans of the series while you enjoy your generic open world game with a slight Zelda theme.

Best game in the series, by far. People who think BotW is the best never really liked Zelda in the first place.
