Re: Nintendo Is "Rigorously Responding" To Demand For Multiple Switch Consoles Per Household

@Poodlestargenerica "Yes, all of those are better. The Wii U has a better Mario Kart,"
Then why is MKWii so much more popular with hardcore enthusiasts?
"a better Smash"
Ok.
"two better zeldas"
Two of them are the same Zeldas available on GCN and Wii, just with more pixels. I take it playing Super Mario Bros on Switch instead of NES is way "better" too, right?
"a better New Super Mario"
We just had a 2D Mario ranked article a couple days ago and Wii was the top ranked entry in the New series. And many in the comments agreed. Given its a popular choice among modders too tells me they agree too. Might wanna consult NL editors about that in case you know something we don't.
"3d land and galaxy are a wash, though galaxy without motion is probably better."
The controls are pretty essential to Galaxy's game design, so I doubt that. There's a reason you still must use them in 3D All-Stars.

So you go on to list a last-gen port & exclusive in the same series, a sequel to a seminal Wii game, another last-gen port, yet another last-gen port, a level editor, a 3rd-person shooter, a sequel to Monster Hunter Tri on Wii, a sequel to DKCR on Wii, a sequel to Sonic All-Stars Racing on Wii, a sequel to Rayman Origins on Wii, and 'way more'. I really don't see what's so special about this list. Looks like a watered down selection of what was on Wii. Everything here has a pretty good equivalent on it's predecessor and then some.

"The wii U has a small but underrated library, much better than the wii's. If you actually haven't played these games, I would strongly suggest buying a cheap used wii u, no one wants them and they are great"
Its not underrated. Its actually pretty appropriately rated tbh. I own a Wii U myself, so you can save me the out-of-date sponsorship. My Wii U library, digital releases included, is half the size of my Wii collection, which according to metacritic isn't too far from expected anyway.

@Poodlestargenerica Every nintendo platform has had multiple IP installments fluffing up the catalogue. This isn't new. And slightly downgraded ports are a given. The Switch is the king of this.

"Also it's metacritic, they collate data from reviews from the literal time these games were released."
I understand you're disappointed that those games are good, but the quality of a video game doesn't change because of time.

"Every other major Nintendo system has had a better library than the wii."
Uh-huh... Does this include the N64 where Nintendo couldn't even scrape together more than 21 decent games to represent it for their VC service? The GCN catalogue with stripped-down ps2 ports comprising half? Or what about the Wii U literally having a selection so small you can fit it all on one shelf?
Certainly the Switch and SNES, I have no arguments there. But the former merges the handheld line with their big-budget console projects, and the latter benefited from an industry monopoly.

Ever since Nintendo went 3D it hasn't exactly been an achievement to best their home consoles in good game quantity.

Re: Parent Trap: I Really Miss The Nintendo Wii

Hungryluma

@Gamer83 It could just be because of all the grey shooters on the HD twins. But I loved the Wii probably the most that gen.

The genre variety was huge and healthy on the system, even Point n Click and 3D platformers(my fav genre) were well represented.

Re: Review: de Blob (Switch)

@Alexface 960K according to vgchartz.

I still cannot understand why they don't bundle both games together? They're too old to be sold at that price point.
