@JasmineDragon idk when it comes to camera controls, I would just use the Target Cam set to Type 2 in the settings. This makes it so that if you double-tap L, the camera swings to center the monster in your field of view, while tapping it once would swing the camera behind you so you can see in the direction that your character is moving. I basically just use this to manage the camera most of the time, occasionally using the on-screen D-pad to make minor adjustments. You can also make that D-pad larger and move it closer to the right of the screen for comfort.

For example, if you are running away from the monster, you can make the camera quickly look behind you with L+L, then swing it back so you see where you are running with L. You can even simulate Lock-On camera controls by just quickly spamming L without actually having to leave the camera locked onto the monster. This is nice because you are never fighting the camera, but instead using the camera to fight the monster. Even in World with dual sticks, I still do the same, mainly managing the camera using Target Cam, though I use the sticks more often than I did the D-pad now because of the very fast speeds of the camera.

@JasmineDragon Did you play World? What did you think of the story? Personally, I thought it was awful, possibly the worst attempt at a narrative in MH history. Even worse that the game takes the story way too seriously. Monster Hunter has never been focused around storytelling, but I would recommend you check out MH4U because although its single-player story isn't an Uncharted experience, it's pretty interesting, at least much more than World's. Even its introduction to the story is more impressive.

Re: Legendary Pokémon Kyogre And Groudon Sun & Moon Distribution Has Begun

@ThatNyteDaez Could it be that Kyogre was holding the Blue Orb? I seem to remember that with Pokemon Platinum, you couldn't trade Giratina while it holds the Griseous Orb, likely because that is an item that does not exist in Diamond/Pearl or maybe because that item is a 1-per-game item. I mean, you can use Pokemon Bank with X/Y and those games don't have the ORAS orbs, so that's probably why.

@Eef lol nah, I just really like Future Tone and find is strange that I don't hear more people talk about one of Sony's best exclusives, seeing as how it's such an excellent rhythm game both content-wise and gameplay-wise. I can't imagine a port of FT on the Switch, but I really do hope we get some sort of Miku game throughout the Switch's life. It would be nice to have on the go, although I imagine that I'd end up killing my Joycons, haha.

@Eef I forgot to mention that although Project Diva Future Tone on PS4 doesn't allow for custom song edits, the game offers 230+ songs.

The base game is more of a demo with 2 songs, then the other songs are sold in 2 expansion packs for $30 each, or both for $55, I think. That way, you don't have to buy the full game and can choose how much content you want at a time. So you should check out the base game/demo on the PS store. It's free to download and if you like it, you can either get one song pack of about 100 songs for $30, or buy both packs at a slight discount.

There are also a few actual DLC songs from "Extra Encore Packs", but those might seem more expensive compared to the main song packs because you get a few songs and some modules for $8. There is also a "season pass" of sorts that is just a bundle of those DLCs, and if you get that, you also get a bunch of PSN avatars, so those are pretty nice to consider because they seem to be exclusive to the season pass.

@Eef They're pretty fun. I started with Project Mirai DX on 3DS, then played f and F 2nd on Vita, as well as on PS3.

I've also got the PS4 ones, but so far, the best is F 2nd because you can get custom edits to play and that one is the most recent one on PS3 ("recent"), although the PS4 games are nice because they run at 60 fps. The PS4 games don't allow custom songs because the PS4 does not let you put mp4 files on it.

Re: Hori Announces Three New GameCube-Inspired Controllers For Nintendo Switch

GodOfPie

I just wish Nintendo would give us a system whose controls use analog triggers like the ones on the GameCube controller. Those are so much nicer than the triggers that Sony and MicroSoft use, especially with that extra little button click you get when you push the buttons all the way, yet they offer no triggers of any sort, not even on the Pro controllers.

Re: Outlast I and II To Scare Their Way Onto Switch in Q1 2018

GodOfPie

That's pretty neat. I bought Outlast for PS4 and got it for PC for free from the Humble store a few months ago. I tried to re-play it, but got bored because I had already beaten it on PS4. Perhaps when I get a Switch, I'll get Outlast 2 for it, since I haven't played that yet.

Re: Poll: Are You Ready to Download More of Your Retail Games From the eShop?

GodOfPie

I do have a lot of downloads on my 3DS, but not as many on my Wii U, mainly because I upgraded it from a 32GB USB to a 2TB external hard drive not too long ago. One thing that I do wish they would do is tie eShop downloaded games to my NNID rather than to just my system. I am afraid that if ever, one of my systems becomes dysfunctional or some problem occurs where I no longer have access to these games, it would be easy to just download them onto a new system like you can using PSN. I have a large amount of games downloaded onto my PS4 because I know that it is safe to do. Discs & cards are just safer to have in the case of the Wii U.
