Re: Review: Dynasty Warriors: Origins (Switch 2) - A Super-Solid Port Of A Fantastic Reboot

GetontheStiix

This review spends the first entire paragraph talking about 30 fps and making comparisons to PS5, then adds the variable frame rate mode as a short footnote in the beginning of the second paragraph, only to never mention anything about how its implemented and then cite the games main issue as 30fps while having strongly recommending everyone play the game at 30. its like they did everything to tell you the port was solid while trying to simulaneously dissuade you from buying it lol

Re: Feature: Nintendo Switch Year In Review 2025 - Our Most Played Games

I see the a lot staff hiding of their playtime or having a shockingly low amount of playtime to be working at at Nintendo Site. Shout out to Alana putting in work though.

I ended the year with 41 games played and 800 hours. 90% of which were on Switch 2.

My top 3 most played were
Wild Hearts S (103 hrs)
Hades 2 (95 hrs)
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment (90 hrs)

You cant convince me that Bandai Namco is not intentionally half assing their output to Switch 2. They of all Japanese companies have not offered ANYTHING in the way of upgrades or proper switch two ports for a single game. Not DB kakarot, Sparking zero is 30 fps, everybody golf was dreadful, Freedom wars no Switch 2 version, Cant get Elden ring out to save their lives, and now another 30 fps release with no Switch 2 version in site. No ports of games like Scarlet Nexus or Tales of Arise which seem like a pretty easy sales boost. Nothing. I expected them to be one of the better publishers in terms of switch 2 support this generation and so far they are the worst.

@Destiny-Smasher I agree its hard to tell who its made for now but would it surprise you to learn that Pokémon makes more money selling merchandise than they do selling video games? I think the games only purpose at this point is being a vessel to have more monsters to make more merch out of lol the truth is that the games aren't a priority or even the most official representation of the brand so our demands for "more" from them are going to fall on deaf ears.

@riccyjay Perhaps, Pokemon is made to appeal to children, who are largely less discerning than adults considering most people complaining have been pokemon fans for 20+ years. Games like Celeste and Shovel Knight are retro styled and made to appeal to adult enjoyers of retro games. Are you not understanding? Pokemon fans want the product to grow with them but they have all grown out of the target demographic so they are way more critical than they need to be. its made for kids, kids like Roblox.

@riccyjay From what the review says the GAMEPLAY is great and the story is fine. The major issue is visuals and scope, 2 things that generally should not be an expectation of a Pokémon game. Pokémon is evolved from a Gameboy game that most people got into at 7 years old, but now you got a bunch of 40 year old jaded graphics whores crying about Pokémon's visuals. lol THATS what's weird.

Re: Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound Will "Average" 30fps On Switch

GetontheStiix

@The_Nintend_Pedant the key word is AVERAGES sir because just like you said they can flat out say they're targeting 30 fps. being that they mentioned an average for switch 1 and stated that the game will benefit from switch 2 hardware one could assume that the frame rate is uncapped, and that it shouldnt be a problem for the switch 2 to hit 60fps

Re: Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound Will "Average" 30fps On Switch

GetontheStiix

@The_Nintend_Pedant thats not exactly how averages or uncapped framerates work. its far more likely that it has moments around 60 and moments arouond 20 but spends most time around 33-35 fps on the Switch 1. The switch 2 will probably run at its potential 60 fps with little to no drops.
