They might be "licensed" but not interested if they're not standard Nintendo-released packaging, prices etc..., and more importantly, listed on Console Variations 😝
@VoidofLight Game Freak is only responsible for mainline games (that aren't outsourced to third-party developers such as BDSP to ILCA). Anime is done by OLM, and merch and toys are licenced out to other companies. TPC naturally oversees all of this.
iirc I have 12 in total: 3DS Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary 3DS XL Super Smash Bros Red 3DS LL Animal Crossing 3DS XL Mario & Luigi Dream Team New 3DS Animal Crossing Happy Home Designer New 3DS XL Hyrule New 3DS XL Super Nintendo New Nintendo 3DS XL Samus 2DS Pokemon Sun/Moon 2DS Pokemon Blue 2DS Mario Kart 7 Pre-installed Bundle New Nintendo 2DS XL Pokemon Pokeball
Yes that's a lot! No it's not too many I wish I had the Pikachu New 3DS XL, Pokemon Yellow 2DS, Link green Zelda 2DS, and the Hyrule Shield New 2DS XL!
@Blue_Dread hardly noticed the framerate drops? Have you spent any time in Lag Lake (Casseroya)? It's painful trying to interact with outbreaks there, the framerate and game speed grinds to a halt.
@msvt I think most of the criticism has been fair and balanced. The game has a myriad of well-documented technical and performance issues which anyone other the most one-eyed Pokémon fanatics can see. If anything the sales and reviews don't reflect just how broken the game is.
The article didn't mention but the Charizard event also includes Mimikyu and Florges in 4 & 5 star raids which you can access before post game. These are significantly easier to beat if you're halfway through the game.
@nolf69 SEGA and Nintendo Life lol. Not listed on Amazon.ca and no other retailers seem to be selling it here. Amazon.com wouldn't shi to my CA address so looks like anyone interested would need a proxy US address or ship from Play-Asia ($136 + $30 shipping ($173 total)). Yeah, nah.
@wuntyme8 man game prices in Canada are crazy expensive and almost never on special. Before I moved here I'd frequently but new Switch games in Australia for around A$68 (~C$60.31) and that's including tax! Sometimes new games can be as low as A$60 (eg. for some third party titles) and even lower when there's a sale 🤦🏻♂️
Yes, budget game art is offensive. But even more offensive is paying full RRP for launch titles five years down the road. Come on Ninty, time to roll out a Switch Selects range already!
When I seek gaming knowledge, Nintendo Life never fails! NL was the first site I visited to try and find a list of the best Kirby games and of course not only do you have a guide, but it was updated three days ago! Thank you Gav!
Frankly I'm surprised all games aren't like this these days. People move country, buy games from other countries, want to play with friends across the globe etc... it's still to think that you'd only want to buy and play games in and from a single market.
Perfect timing! I'm watching the review on Nintendo Life right now and planning where to get the Tactician's Limited Edition. Shame it's not available in Australia despite Nintendo Australia usually falling into the European launch strategies.
Any JP eShop recommendations for those that speak no Japanese? Happy with any suggestions that don't require reading text to understand gameplay or story (or RPGs are a no go). Arcade, platformers, puzzle, etc would probably be okay.

Will be genuinely surprised if the Metacritic score isn't 8.5-9/10.

@_fatto_katto_ what was the first?
Re: Walmart's Pre-Order Bonus For Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Has Been Revealed (North America)
Why does the story title say North America when the offer is only applicable to Walmart US and not Walmart Canada? 🤦🏻♂️

Re: Photos Posted Online Showcase New Mario-Themed Switch Console Bundle
Do the red joy-cons have the same colour as previously released? Mario Odyssey had darker red joy-cons to the Super Mario 3D console release.

Re: Nintendo Switch Online Game Vouchers Might Be Returning To North America
This has been running for years in Australia, I assumed it was across North America and European countries.
Re: Review: GoldenEye 007 - Aged And Flawed, But Still A Masterpiece Of Game Design

If he feels that bad he should port all the Pokemon games on 3DS store to Switch.

@sevex ever heard of VHS, Betamax, laserdisc, DVD, Blu-ray? All retired formats.

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Pokémon Scarlet And Violet?
User reviews are much more generous on NL (8 is the "average" score) than Metacritic (2.9) 🤔
Re: Casio G-Shock Launch A Limited Edition Super Mario Watch, And It's Gorgeous
@bippity_bop agreed. Tough Solar is the only way to go.
Re: Casio G-Shock Launch A Limited Edition Super Mario Watch, And It's Gorgeous
@Henchdog maybe for a standard Casio but not for G-Shock. Built to be the only watch you'll ever need, pretty unbreakable.
Re: Poll: Is The Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack Good Enough Value Yet?
Only worth it if you're in a family plan with 7 others, which brings it down to USD$9.99 per person per annum.

It's cool that the Switch is dockable while these are attached because you can't do that with the OG Split Pad Pro afaik.
