@VoidofLight Game Freak is only responsible for mainline games (that aren't outsourced to third-party developers such as BDSP to ILCA). Anime is done by OLM, and merch and toys are licenced out to other companies. TPC naturally oversees all of this.

Will be genuinely surprised if the Metacritic score isn't 8.5-9/10.

Do the red joy-cons have the same colour as previously released? Mario Odyssey had darker red joy-cons to the Super Mario 3D console release.

This has been running for years in Australia, I assumed it was across North America and European countries.

Those controls were a brutal wake-up call to how used to dual-stick shooters we have become 😩

@Blue_Dread hardly noticed the framerate drops? Have you spent any time in Lag Lake (Casseroya)? It's painful trying to interact with outbreaks there, the framerate and game speed grinds to a halt.

@msvt I think most of the criticism has been fair and balanced. The game has a myriad of well-documented technical and performance issues which anyone other the most one-eyed Pokémon fanatics can see. If anything the sales and reviews don't reflect just how broken the game is.

The article didn't mention but the Charizard event also includes Mimikyu and Florges in 4 & 5 star raids which you can access before post game. These are significantly easier to beat if you're halfway through the game.

User reviews are much more generous on NL (8 is the "average" score) than Metacritic (2.9) 🤔

@nolf69 SEGA and Nintendo Life lol. Not listed on Amazon.ca and no other retailers seem to be selling it here. Amazon.com wouldn't shi to my CA address so looks like anyone interested would need a proxy US address or ship from Play-Asia ($136 + $30 shipping ($173 total)). Yeah, nah.

@wuntyme8 man game prices in Canada are crazy expensive and almost never on special. Before I moved here I'd frequently but new Switch games in Australia for around A$68 (~C$60.31) and that's including tax! Sometimes new games can be as low as A$60 (eg. for some third party titles) and even lower when there's a sale 🤦🏻‍♂️

Got my amiibos thanks to a cancelled pre-order at my local EB Games store Amiibos are so hard to get in US and Canada from experience.

It's cool that the Switch is dockable while these are attached because you can't do that with the OG Split Pad Pro afaik.

As a fan of TCG games I'm looking forward to this almost as much as the main game!

Frankly I'm surprised all games aren't like this these days. People move country, buy games from other countries, want to play with friends across the globe etc... it's still to think that you'd only want to buy and play games in and from a single market.

Perfect timing! I'm watching the review on Nintendo Life right now and planning where to get the Tactician's Limited Edition. Shame it's not available in Australia despite Nintendo Australia usually falling into the European launch strategies.

Any JP eShop recommendations for those that speak no Japanese? Happy with any suggestions that don't require reading text to understand gameplay or story (or RPGs are a no go). Arcade, platformers, puzzle, etc would probably be okay.
