Earlier this year Nintendo ran a special competition for Pokémon Art Academy on 3DS that gave participants the chance to have their own masterpieces transformed into an official Pokémon Trading Card.
The winners of the competition each received a 100-card pack of custom-designed Pokémon Trading Card Game cards displaying their very own artwork. One winner by the name of James Franzen has been nice enough to share a few photos of his own entry as a final product.
Unfortunately there is no mention about fan made entries being distributed in the Pokémon TCG.
Let us know in the comments if you would like to see more competitions like this, and be sure to take a look at the other winning entries on the official Pokémon website.

Nice!
That's sick as! Nice job bro!
looks great, i wish they would distribute it with the tcg.
That's a really good design! What did the original card for that particular Pokemon look like for comparison?
There was a Delphox one shown on GoNintendo a couple of days ago too. Good on the winners; best I could do would be a stick figure.
Offtopic: Pikmin 4 got announced!? Just saw an IGN video on youtube, why didn't they do it in a Nintendo Direct?...
It's so pretty
Pretty good color composition. That's a nice illustration.
Not trying to be that guy, but imagine how much that card is worth since it's official
@TheAceofMystery You aren't the only one who thought about that. In couple of years this could be worth tons of moolah.
@TheAceofMystery lol theres a Yu-Gi-Oh card like this from the make a wish foundation, some guy wished to have a card designed or something, so theres only 1 in circulation and it has similar effects to the "flame wingman".
there's 2 copies of the cards though coz konami has a copy of every card at least x1 stored some where apparently... but only 1 for the public. The card is also tournament legal, not sure about these but they could just be card varrents. like an existing card but with new artwork.
Also why did I not know about this competition? I have pokemon AA!
Wow, that's one heck of a powerhouse! Did he get to decide on the attacks as well?
