I haven't played Ori and this little rant has probably made me less likely to play it in the future. Not a great vibe coming from this developer.

@Dm9982 it looks and plays a lot like fallout 3, which is a good thing. I've been playing this in handheld mode and it runs fine. Not the greatest looking game, but I actually find the stiff animation present in all versions more offensive than the low res graphics. Regardless, the game is fun and the writing is good. They have created a very cool world here.

Famitsu's review scale for major releases is 36 to 40. I used to put a lot of stock in their scores back in the N64 era, now I see that they are little different than much of the American gaming press.

@nessisonett their free "education" is compensation for them making their programs millions of dollars a year while they risk their health and well-being. Meanwhile the professors at the schools preach about ethics.

NFL Blitz is the only American Football game worth playing.

Yikes, the game needs a full makeover before I'd consider it at this point. N64 games mostly have aged terribly. Just upping the resolution doesn't cut it.

What's the deal with Robinhood and Td ameritrade halting transactions and possibly even selling investors Gamestop stock? That has to be illegal.... At any rate, this isn't a game I want to play, but I am entertained sitting on the sideline and watching this battle take place.

I enjoy this game, unlike Tetris 99, I feel like I have a chance to win this game each time I play. Tetris 99 is fun as well but just finishing top 10 doesn't really feel like a win. The players are too damn good at Tetris.

@roboshort I thought the blade games did it pretty well with the excessive amount of quests. I can't speak for the Witcher 3, but it traditionally has been a part of JRPGs forever, and more recently, F2P games. I personally don't mind a little grinding. In the case of F2P games, I'd much rather grind than shell out cash.

So I guess every dragon quest game ever made sucks?

I've never played any of the 3D World games. Is this a good place to start? As reference, my favorite mario games are Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario World, and Mario 64. I enjoyed Galaxy a bit more than Odyssey. This game looks interesting and Mario 35 has hooked me the last few nights...

@anoyonmus I'd take a Bad Company 2 Xbox 360 port over the new trash being released under the Battlefield name.

Apex is great. Funner that Fortnite for sure. We will see if this port is possible, I have my doubts on the performance front.

This game is okay, worth a shot for fans of rpgs but don't expect to be blown away, just a fun solid game.

The only one I played was the DS one with stylus controls. Was a solid 8, but never played another Kirby game extensively. I'd be interested to give one a go.

This game was good and I personally thought the complaints at launch were overstated. I played and beat the game during the launch window and I think it's the best metroidvania on switch. That being said, I commend them for continued support but my backlog is too large to go back for this mode. Looking forward to their next project.

I haven't seen Star Wars 8 or 9 or any of the spinoffs. I've lost interest in the universe. I did enjoy Rogue Squadron and Racer back in the day. And of course KOTOR.

I'm waiting for the full release, nice to see the framerates is stable.

This is plausible. I could see a 1080p screen portable and some ability to do 4k on simple games on the TV. I could also see no upgrade to resolution at all, but rather a more modern design, sleeker, brighter screen, etc. I'd like to see some upgrades inside to get better dynamic resolutions and framerates but don't know if that kind of thing is possible for existing games.

Bravely Default 2 for me. Split Pad Pros are nice for portable play. I prefer them to the joy cons. Also, did not know Road Redemption was getting a physical box release. It's a solid title that scratches that Road Rash itch.

Don't care about this game but comments made me want to grab a bowl of popcorn. My guess is the press release was, at least a little bit, to get their game a headline. It worked, I didn't know what this was until today.

2021 shaping up to be even worse. Hopefully we at least get some info on Metroid Prime 4.

Was a fan of the first game so will definitely get this but yeah... Those character designs... Blech.

@Anguspuss I would love a port of X. Maybe the multiplayer could find a community on the Switch.

Torchlight 3 is a port that really bums me out. The game feels super slow and looks generally bad. Torchlight 2, by comparison, is much better. Maybe they will tweak performance down the road, but I don't have my hopes up. As for this list, I'm really interested in the dino simulator and I might double dip on Metro. Had that on PC years ago and the first game is a pure classic.

Xenoblade and Cross Code were my favorites this year. Hades was good, maybe even great, but still overrated by gaming press.

The game awards is as much a joke as the Oscars or any other award show.

FF7 and games of that era got the benefit of being the first 3D game of their respective series. The game itself is good but so damn overrated. Kefka is still a better villian and I'd argue 7 isn't even the best of the PS1 era. I suppose this is cool for the many rabid fans of FF7 though.

The big heads are enough of a turnoff for me to pass. This is an art style that should have been left in the past.

No reason to change your image. People see you as the family friendly company. Whether true or just perceived, they have a niche. As an 80s kid and now an old guy with kids, I appreciate what Nintendo is doing.

Switch Pro will probably not even be 1080p. My guess is a sleeker design but not much in the way of more graphical power.

Graphics are very realistic.

Ogre Battle was outstanding. Did not know a Tactics Ogre game was on SNES....

Nintendo doesn't really compete with MS or Sony anymore. Both have long since abandoned the family and kids demographic. Nintendo is really the only company that consistently tries to make new experiences. They're not always on point (the cardboard stuff), but at least they're trying.

This looks good. I never played it but I'm a bit hesitant without a review. Wish they'd release Unreal and some of the arena shooters from the late 90s early 00s.

Great game, but wasn't as scary as some contemporary stuff, mainly Silent Hill 2.

Game is a classic. Will support this effort when it goes to market.

I used mostly handheld, but my kid uses it mostly docked. This guy is a turd.

Why isn't this just on NES online service?
