Re: Dead Cells On Switch Is Outselling The PlayStation 4 Version

Francema

@KryptoniteKrunch this is more or less true but there’s no need to be that dramatic. NS system is a year and months all and couldn’t bank on its predecessor as PS can. What’s happening is a good thing. Story like this will bring us more and more games. Some will be of excellent quality, this is also a common thing for all systems gaming libraries (don’t you think only Switch has crappy games)

Re: Is 'Switch Tax' A Real Concern, Or Just A Myth?

Very interesting article! To be fair, you have to compare apples to apples and that does not seem to be the case of $9 vs $49 for PayDay. Nevertheless, I'm sure is overpriced and in that case, you shouldn't buy it. Go for a used cartridge, wait for a discount, game it on a different system if you can.

Re: Shigeru Miyamoto Urges Game Developers To Embrace Subscription-Based Services

If you want to take a look at the evolution of the music industry you are not allowed just to peek what you find relevant considering what path you are taking. True, subscription-based services in music took the industry by surprise, many had to adapt quickly, many disappeared and many came late to the party. What he is not saying is that in addition to that, some revenue streams (new and old) starting to play a vital role in these creative souls. Many started to tour again, many added a new income coming from a different artistic path and so on. How to translate this into the Gaming industry? Maybe eSports competitions, sponsorship, selling IP to other art branches? Cartridges and Blue Rays will become in the future an amazing such as vinyl is for music? Maybe he addressed all this, probably not.

Re: Miyamoto Calls On His Industry Peers To Deliver Games At Fixed Prices

As a gamer, all I want are options wether is about genres, platforms, cost structure, whatever. I can choose to make a microtransaction for a small piece or put more money to get the complete package. I don't see the damage here. Why don't Nintendo replicates Fortnite gameplay and sell it for $59.99? I'm thinking I'll be playing both till I get bored and jump to the next set of games.

Re: Son Of A Witch Arrives On Switch At The Beginning Of September

@Multi I read the other comments and you are right for sure. Sadly for me, not being a true fan of these types of games, what I am seeing is an instant turn off. That's probably I'll be jumping on board this train after there's a big success going on! Wish the best to the Developers, like that they are caring so much to engage with an audience.

Re: Switch Physical Game Sales Increase As Octopath Traveler Crowned July's Best-Selling Game

Francema

@adam9431 Agree with your thoughts. And that goes for The Legend of Zelda, Splatoon, Daemon X Machina to name a few existing and future hit games. Not all have to be COD and the next COD with some shadow improvement, then the following one where there a correction on eye movement and so on. That being said, would love to have a RaibowSix (or COD) type of game for the Switch.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (August 18th)

Is someone else disappointed with Monster Hunters, or is just me? I mean, the game looks amazing. For a non PS4 with 4K TV as I am, this game is trully a trole A one. I hate those constant loading screens. Maybe you are all used to by experiencing them in the original game. Big turn off for me.
