Although the Panic Button port of the online free-to-play game Warframe is yet to be released on the Switch, it's still worth keeping an eye on the recent updates the third-person shooter has been receiving in preparation for its inevitable arrival on Nintendo's hybrid platform.
Digital Extremes has gone the extra mile in its latest content update, this time releasing a free arcade-style fighting mini-game. According to a post on the game's website, the Frame Fighter update was inspired by a long-time Warframe fan and transforms your Orbiter into a battleground. Below is how it can be accessed:

Visit Simaris and acquire the Ludoplex -- a new home for all of Warframe’s minigames -- through Standing. Choose from Excalibur, Voltand Mag, each with their unique Ability. Unlock additional Frame Fighter characters by discovering Fragments throughout the game. If the scanned Warframe’s Prime is in your Inventory, you can toggle to the Prime version of the acquired character.
There are apparently two other secret mini-games to check out as well. One is a side-scrolling blaster and the other is known as the 'Happy Zephyr' mini-game, where you must flap your way through obstacles. No launch date for the Switch version has been locked in just yet, but presumably, all this content and more will be available when the game is eventually released.

oh that's actually quite interesting.
Awesome
Warframe is one of those games that really shines the more content is added to it. Something like 100 hours into the game they introduce so much plot it mindblows many people when they invest that amount of time into the game.
Imagine going through a game with barely any plot to begin with and just grinding it out for the fun of it and then suddenly Mass Effect style plot twists start hitting from all sides.
I find Warframe to be a very impressive game and by far the best free-to-play game out there at this time. I suggest when it comes out everybody gives it a try on the Switch and make it a big healthy community. They really deserve it.
Nice.
Looks amazing!
Super hyped to try this out on Switch, really hoping it will run smoothly on launch.
I don't know how deep I'll get into this, because I burned myself out on mmo-style games over the course a decade. But I'll give this one a try, since I can do it while laying down. Lol
Only buying if they at voice chat or native chat
Ok. But what about the mini game everybody wants, Flappy Zephyr????
Will the obstacles be huge green pipes??
@Varkster bro is this a pvp or co.op where we fight monsters together? Also did you notice the frame drops? cause it seems u come from pc so just asking about the video above..
@Varkster Only problem is the grind can get very taxing at times. The stealth Mastery Rank mission that comes up later on is pretty obnoxious, for example.
@Lord its a F2P game
@sik187 it might have some pvp but in all my time playing on PS4 which is only 20-30 hours it was coop PvE
@MegaVel91 ya kida why I stopped playing on PS4 ten the early on blueprints for weapons and gear neeed so many resources
Pretty soon all I'll be playing is this and Diablo 3. Its like a time machine almost. Lol, but now they will be portable!!! Bwuhahahahhaahha. Goodbye productivity.
Nice to hear about all the extra content, very hyped for this game.
@Varkster I'm REALLY curious to see how the switch runs all of the content in the game. I hope it comes out this year, itsy second most anticipated Switch game behind smash.
I played the granddaddy of this, when they called it Dark Sector.
Thanks dedication and love for your product!
@Frendo Do we know any info if it is releasing this year? I really hope so! I've held off playing on PS4 especially with how draconian Sony is, I'll likely be locked like those poor Fortniters.
@ValhallaOutcast ok I wont download it unless they add vouce chat or native chat!
@Varkster Too bad not many seem to have heeded the lesson. Pay to Win is still prevalent
I've gotten really really tired of pay to play, pay to win or free to play with microtransaction scenarios lately, its just to much for me anymore.
With that said this game does look fun I like the art style and layout of it so its a very big maybe for me .
