@Geobros , Amazon.de just sold out last set of this for 99 Euro (game plus green/pink joy cons). I had it in my shopping kart but became "not available" before i could do the check out. It was due to become available second half of November so i have time to wait for it. Will be a present for under the Christmas tree anyways.

Need to continue Ys VIII (half way in chapter 5) and will continue at MHGU as it got my totally hooked (even though i am still discovering my way into it all).

I bought MHGU on a whim earlier this week and it got me hooked. Now i fear my back log will never get smaller. I really need to finish Hollow Knight (at 75-80% ), Ys VIII (Half way through Chapter 5 now). Still need to start on Valkyria Chronicles 4 and when Diablo 3 Hits the Switch i will get sleep deprived for the rest of the year. Good thing i am not a big Smash fan (although i'll probably get it if the single player campaign is interesting).

off topic, i see network test for Dark Souls remastered will be this weekend 21, 22 and 23 September. Game available for download in EShop.

@Dayton311 I agree that 30 is Too much for this game, good thing Ubi has regular sales so may pick this up when they discount it 50% (probably around black Friday).

@Cobalt you are correct, you state facts, and dont think i dont see them also. I just look at it differently. As i mentioned, the ports are an extra for me, giving me extra options (and no, i do not buy them all but did get some because i like then and wanted to have them to be able to replay them on the go). I get the feeling you just dont like the fandom some are giving to these announcements but to call it cancerous is going to far but that is my opinion

@Cobalt @Mew so tired of these complaints. Glass is half empty mentality. You see only new games that don’t interest you and see the ports as if those are the main dish for the Switch. Why did you even buy one? You knew the last gen games would not run on it, at least i did. I have it for the first party games i knew would come and all the ports are happy extra’s for me. If i want to play RDR2 or Tombraider or Spiderman i get a ps4 pro. For the rest i am happy i can CHOOSE the platform i want to play a game on and if i already played it before i do NOT have to buy it again but others can if they want.
Let people be happy with the news provided and the additional choices they have been given to buy games if they want and keep in mind that this is a fan site. Being critical is good (yes online sucks and there is a lot they should improve) but complaining for the sake of complaining gets old very quick.

So we can expect at least a Yoshi (Spring) , Pokemon mainline (Fall / Winter) , Fire Emblems (Spring), Animal Crossing game as 1st line support for 2019. As Pokemon is likely end of year it would make sense to plan AC before it. If Bayo3, Pikmin 4 and MP4 also come next year (not expected) it would make for a 1st party AAA game every other month! That, with the 3rd party announcements already done will make for a great year 2019, even if Pikmin4, Bayo3 and MP4 are not coming (i am really hoping for Pikmin though).

Think i'll skip this week. Still need to finish Ys VIII and Hollow Knight. After that, i'll probably get the Xenoblade expansion. Kind of stopped XC2 main game as i got tired of it after 120 hours so may wait with it for the time being. also depends on when Diablo 3 comes out. as that will definitely be a day one purchase for me.

@Claytonbob Seeing the number of Directs they are pumping out lately it would not surprise me if there will be an additional Direct next week dedicated for the online services.

@Cobalt Sigh.....same story over and over again. you know all this already before you bought the Switch but you act as if your expectations were completely different.

A hybrid home/handheld console can never be as powerful as a dedicated pure home console. That was known so you could have expected that last gen PS4/XBOX games would likely not be playable on it unless in lower graphics/frame rate.

PS4 is getting more AAA games than Nintendo? again, what did you expect? that all 3rd party developers would immediately create a Switch version of games that started development years ago on PS4 Pro specs?

i would also love to see more games coming out on the Switch but i already have more to play on it than i have time. you show us a great list of games you want but that list alone would take me years to play alone. I don't know about you but i don't have that much time for playing games having a wife, 2 kids and a 40-50 hour work week. This limited time is exactly why i like the Switch as it allows me to play while the family watches TV or while i am in bed and still also allow me to play on the TV when playing with my son. Does it have all the games on it i would like? No, PS4 has many console exclusives i would also love to play but the Switch has enough games for me to keep me and my family busy AND it has the advantage it can be played on the go.

If you think that there are not enough game son it or that PS4 is better in each facet compared to the Switch that is fine and it is your opinion but realize that most of us don't care. We are here because we like what the Switch has to offer while hoping more is to come. You don't even seem to like anything the Switch has to offer so why even bother keeping it or participate on Nintendo forums about it. And don't give us the crap that you do it because you want Nintendo to up it's game because Nintendo does not read this and even if they would, they follow their own path.

@thesilverbrick, i agree with what you say that the devlopper is taking a short cut and that makes it hard to swallow the 15gb extra download. Although i dont like it either i luckily have no storage issues as i have 2 456 gb sd cards from my work i can use freely now.

Need to finish Y’s, Hollow Knight and mario & Rabbids Dlc before i buy anything new. At least, that is what i am telling myself (and my wife). Still have a massive list of games i’ll be getting this year and with the diablo 3 news this list just got added a massive time sinck yet again. Where will i find the time to play D3, Monster Hunter, XC2 Expension, Dark Souls, valkyre Chronicles 4, Starlink and Smash this year while having a 60 hour work week, a wife AND 2 kids? Need to get rid of some to create time

@Findonovan95 you always can honto the gay parade in Amsterdam if uou want to see a “lol” event ( i am straight as an arrow but it is actually a great parade to watch and last year i actually seen somebody dressed as pikachu)

Hopefully this means Dark Souls will be released in coming months along with online service

@PixelStef , these are only Nintendo 1st party software, not 3rd part software. with SMO, BOTW, ARMS, SPL2TOON, MK8 DLX, DKTF, Captain Toad i am a bit above average but not much (have about 29 games in total so rest is 3rd party/indy)

@Nincompoop, over a 3 times longer period. Switch will have sold more units software before end of next Quarter.

i am not so sure Nintendo will manage to sell 20 million units this fiscal year, even if Pokemon Go and Smash are going to be the hits they expect. Even if they have more surprises up their sleeves it will be difficult target to make. the 100 million pieces of software for this fiscal year do seem a more realistic target it seems seeing they sold 18 million this quarter. In the end, we will have to wait and see if the Pokemon Go franchise will be the system seller they hope it is going to be and what kind of surprises they have up their sleeves for the remainder of the year to see how close they will get to their target.

And....Nintendo beat expectations due to strong online sales of software.

If they release a new MK game, everyone will want to have all previous tracks and modes included so why not keep what we have and add new tracks, characters etc instead? There is not a whole lot of improvement possible so i prefer paid DLC with new modes/tracks/characters over a new game that gives us all we have now plus that what we could see in paid DLC. I mean, what can a new MK9 give us what added DLC can’t? Improved graphics? I don’t see the need for it really.

@aaronsullivan absolutely. The game is beautiful, stunning and brutal at times. Probably the game with highest value per dollar for me.

@Krull i know what you feel. I am glad i have finished XC2 and Zelda and thought i would have the time for a new time sink adventure but it seems i already have one with Hollow Knight. And with upcoming releases like dark Souls and monster hunter coming months i need to slow down a bit (but it is so nice to have those nice thumbnails on the selection screen on your switch with all the options you could do )

@TimeGuy i know that feeling. I used to be able to stick with a game and finish it before i moved to a new game but now i am still playing Hollow Knight, need to finish Octo Expansion and Mario & rabbits DLC. With Wolfenstein, Ys VIII, Captain Toad, Monster Hunter and possibly Dark Souls already out or coming out this summer i am spending way too much on this console and have no time to play all of it. Glad i at least already beat XC2 and Zelda as those were time sinks as well.

@chardir , instructions for motorbike can be easily found on you tube. found many video's with all instructions for LABO online. only thing is, you need to not just buy the spare parts cardboard but also the accessory set i guess for the the stickers and elastic bands.

@thesilverbrick , It seems you do not need to buy the whole TOY CON 1 package. The Software for this is in Mario Kart so you could suffice with only buying the cardboard spare parts from Nintendo.

hope Nintendo will surprise us a bit at least. So far i have seen almost nothing i did not already see or hear about earlier. I mean, EA was not good, SE was a joke, Microsoft and Sony had nothing really new to show and only Ubisoft was at least up to standard with their presentation albeit with not a lot of new stuff in it either. in chapter 6 now and enjoying this immensely but i am kind of stuck on Pyra's affinity chart. her level 3 purifying flames (need to do heart to heart on grave site) will not open up (it is still on ????). I talked to the aunt Corinne and rested there several times but the ???? will not disappear. anything i missed (do i need to progress further in the story or reach a specific area first).

XC2 chapter 5 now. DQ Builders (still need to start Chapter 3), DKCTF ( finished game with my son on Funky mode and now going to 100% it with him). Might get Hyrule wariors (Tim Roger’s Kotaku review brought me on board on it) but before i finnish XC2 probably Ys VIII will be out so could be i pass until i see it on sale (never got so many games on a console before).

XC2, chapter 3 now. Some splatoon 2. Kids are running DKCTF.

Liberation day today in Netherlands so will go out to one of the festivals today and i’ll be hitting the beach tomorrow. My son is playing DKCTF now and i am all into XC2 since I finally picked it up last week. If i find some time i’ll continue in DQ builders (starting chapter 3) or do some splatoon 2

Starting XC2 this weekend (hope it is good) and will continue on DW builders (chapter 3 now). Been finishing lego ninjago with my son. Anyone knows if lego marvel is differnt and better? Because ninjago was kind of disappointing for us.

@Heavyarms55 Here in Netherlands it is being marketed pretty strong (at least on television) also. gonna pick up the variety kit for my kids as soon as i am certain i can get a replacement set along with it so that they can both build their own sets. Just to prevent havoc in the house when my six year old breaks the thing my 9 year old created.

PS4/PS4 Pro sales ytd still ahead of Switch in Japan (all be it only by 13k units now) so Sony isn’t doing bad at all in Japan still. It is more dependent on big games like Monster Hunter to drive sales while “base” sales for switch are much better. Guess differences will be made in next half of the year when the “big” games are coming out. Personally, i do not care how well the PS is doing, as long as switch is doing well because good sales of switch means better chance on good support. Good sales for PS just means more incentive for games industry to make games and in the end.
