NOT AGAIN
As a citizen of EU I'm angry.
There are few games that are way cheaper in US eshop than in EU one like One Piece Pirate Warriors 3 (US $39,99, EU €59,99).
But now Street Fighter is $39,99 in US and €49,99 in EU!?
1 euro is $1,16 by today, I know that in US in some cases there is also stuff like tax but even then it's still CHEAPER.
Isn't it ridiculus that I have US only account on my Switch because of that? Because otherwise I would pay €49,99 on EU shop but now I paid just a tad above €35 via US store.
FIX THIS NINTENDO (sony too in smaller regard) because I can accept 1 on 1 price (€1 = $1) but I REFUSE to pay 50 euro while in US they pay 40 DOLLARS.
P.S. don't buy Vegas Party, it's buggy and bad, in essence 1 on 1 port from the Wii original.
AVOID IT, also the physical release (why does such shovelware get a physical release buy Naruto not in the west)
Great week release wise.
Are there no 3ds sales?
I'm not downloading any games until E3 (I'm hoping for a sale! ).
PixelJunk Monsters 2 seems good though, the demo was enjoyable
Do not buy legend of Kay it’s rubbish
@sandman89
'Kay
Might buy Yokus, because it reminds me of Ori. Will download Pokémon Quest this weekend too, same with Mario Tennis Demo.
There are some games I'm interested in (Yoku, Street Fighter, Ikaruga, Just Shapes & Beats) but I'm not sure which one to get yet. Playing Pokémon Quest for the time being.
@Rayquaza2510
You shouldn’t be a cheapskate when it comes to gaming, guy. Maybe you need to find a different hobby.
Heck of a good week. I'd like to see some reviews of Fallen Legion, Songbringer, Legend of Kay and maybe West of Loathing, but Yoku, SF Collection, Ikaruga - phew. And we haven't even had E3 yet...
@Yasume a littlebit rude to call me like that.
You don't get the point, I would pay that €49.99 gladly if in the US it was the same price, by buying it from US shop me and other people I know that did this hope to give Nintendo a sign that this is unacceptable.
I'm not a cheapskate by far, on past systems I payed a lot of times full price for a physical copy purely for the sake I wanted it, now with the Switch I went full digital but I don't like being ripped because US'ers pay less.
It's not about it being €49,99 in EU because that's a fine price for such great collection, my problem is that US shouldn't pay way less than we do, it's not a 3rd world country you know...
@PtM if it wasn't region free and this would happen, with pain in my heart I wouldn't buy it if they went this way or I would buy physical only games like I did till I got the Switch.
And yes physical games are sometimes more expensive, but they have a resale value which digital games don't have, I went full digital on the Switch because of its portability.
Btw act normal to people would you.
Just the 23 titles released this week then...
that free PETA kitten squad game left a bad test...
Waiting on the sega shining force review
@Late Ikaruga is seriously worth considering, if you like arcade/shmups it is easily one of the very best.
@Rayquaza2510 just buy on the US store and be done with it...
Yoku's Island Express is SUPER FUN!. I love that game. And I got Bloodstained too. An excellent week, if I say so my self. I might get Legend of Kay Anniversary too, but I'll probably wait for a sale. Also, Street Fighter Collection for €50 is a dirty rip-off!
Mario Tennis, Ys VIII, Monster Hunter, Shining Resonance Refrain (now 10% Discount on pre-order), Dark Souls Remastered, Super Smash Bros, Pokemon Let's Go plus whatever they will announce on E3 (please Pikmin!) . My wallet is going to drain as it is so going to skip all the rest for now..... and....i just bought FIFA with my gold points because i could not let this bargain slip. Now i am really going to stop and start waiting for above to come out (still need to finish XC2 and DQ Builders anyway).
@sandman89 I really liked that game.
Yay! PixelJunk Monsters 2 and Knights of Pen & Paper! Great week to be me!
Also Manticore is fantastic! Highly recommended if you ike space-shooters similar to Rogue Squadron or Star Fox.
@Randomname19 I didn’t
Monster hunter GU is so high on my priorities I can't focus on any other titles
I can't find the discounted prices for Mecho Tales and Plague Road in the shop! Wonder why...
@Rayquaza2510 can't you buy it off the US eshop?
@Aurumonado I already did for €35, but that's not my point the game shoudn't be cheaper in US or more expensive in EU, the reason why I and some people I know get games from US eshop is because we hope Nintendo realises this is unfair.
Smoke and Sacrifice is missing in the list !
For me, that's Yoku's Island Express and Smoke and Sacrifice !
@Rayquaza2510 Could be a problem with the EU. They're trying to tax linking news articles now. While I'm overall a fan of the Union, I find myself disagreeing with their rulings more and more...
Downloaded Pokemon Quest and will buy Street Fighter Anniversary after my next payday. As for PETA, at least they're not asking for money for that thing. But I still refuse to support an organization that abuses and kills animals under the guise of helping them. The meat industry is at least honest about their business...
@Late ikagura for the price- one of the best shoot em ups ever. Why consider paying that much for a digital version of street fighter when the physical copy is cheaper?
@SuperCesco I was just going to say that- plague road looked like a steal at that price.
@Rayquaza2510 I’ve never seen a physical game more expensive than an eshop game. In fact when I’ve checked they’ve always been cheaper which is why I don’t understand people paying 40-50 quid for a digital game.
@Yasume what a crappy thing to say.
@darthstuey I know the article is about eShop downloads but I didn't necessarily mean I'd download Street Fighter. I'm fine with buying a physical copy too. That said, it's only a 10€ difference where I live. I could go for either.
