Re: Switch Overtakes Nintendo 64 Lifetime Sales, According To New Estimates

Drussa

@Tantani they did 14.71mio up to December 2018. Japan sales are roughly 1mio. taking that America's, Europe plus rest of the world normally account for more than 2/3 of sales you could estimate that 14.71 mio plus 3-4 mio adds to anything around 18-19 mio units. Just a pure guess still but it would not surprise me and they would have done an excellent job if they make these numbers.

Re: Switch Overtakes Nintendo 64 Lifetime Sales, According To New Estimates

so, nintendo confirms 32.27mio in December. VGChartz says it sold 217,096 in week ending 6 April making a total of 33.15 mio. So according to VG only 630k units were sold between jan 1 and 31 March which makes no sense at all as mediacreate sales alone counted 950K units to be sold in Japan alone in Jan-March perdiod

@rjejr i think there is a lot of “disturbence” at Nintendo at the moment. Q3 results being ok but having to lower their own sales forcast with 15% AND MP4 fail maybe was a bigger surprise for themselves than we may know. I guess they are re-alligning their release strategy for FY19 and double checking all their current projects. This maybe why they said during the investors meetings they do not expect any further delays for their upcomming games but did not provide any dates. But still, a new SSBU dlc fighter should get announced at some point this month and up to Yoshi release nothing has been confirmed for their Q4 release. All in all not the best start of the calender year for nintendo game fans (or the new presidents for that matter). Let’s hope we get some information soon.

@Krull just finished Dark Souls. Great game indeed.

Now starting a new monk for D3 season 16. Will play some SSBU and still need to start Starlink too.
Tales of Vesperia is also still in my thought to buy but probably wait for news on when/if DQ11/ Persona5 will come to Switch before i buy another time sink.

Re: Nintendo Power Podcast Wants To Know The Switch Games You're Most Looking Forward To In 2019

Drussa

1) Dragon Quest XI S
2) Persona 5
3) a new Pikmin (or even a port to keep me occupied for now)
4) Luigi's Mansion
5) Spiro trilogy

With that and my backlog i'll be fine for 2019 (heck, have not put in more that 5 hours in SSBU yet because of that darn Dark Souls. need to build my new season character in D3 still. Have not played Starlink yet and there are like half a dozen lego games that still need to be finished with my kid)

Re: Nintendo Switch Was The Best-Selling System In December And Throughout 2018 In The US

@Heavyarms55 Don't rule out Microsoft for the future. Their work on cross play and backward compatibility and all the studios they have been buying of late makes me think they could have a very strong comeback. Just think, you have a XBOX and a PS4 now and you need to buy the next gen console. you could come with the choice of buying the PS5 with maybe one or two launch titles or you can get a new xbox and keep playing all your old games still also (which means you could sell your old xbox and get some money back to reduce the initial costs). What microsoft is working on is customer binding. once you have one of their consoles they allow you to keep playing it on any future console and that is something Sony and Nintendo can really learn from. Personally, i am not sure which next gen console i will get once they come out but i was firmly on Sony but that is starting to change a bit (they do have the best exclusives still so we do need to get some news on that from MS front).

@NintendoFan4Lyf better drops from what i heard. I was just happy i stayed alive . From a boss fight point of view, smough is slow so his attacks are easier to doge when he remains last but Ornstein can be blocked relatively easy when left as last. I should hate this game for letting me die so often but every little progress is a victory that keeps me going.

Ps. I have no clue on how online works (yet) but i am happy to help you if it is possible to summon me for the fight.

@NintendoFan4Lyf , beat them on my 7 try without summining. Too bad Smough died last. I am so deep into this game it is not healthy anymore. Got Smash and Starlink on backlog and Diablo on snooze mode for now. Eshop sale only added more games as i finally got Octopath and Rayman (ok this one for my son but he loves to play couch coop). Tempted to get Civ VI too but i amnalready sleep deprived as it is

Celebrating my son’s 7th Birthday today so no gaming today. Downloaded Smash last night so tomorrow we will have a Smash party. Need to continue in DarkSouls (alone), lego Incredibles (with my son), starlink (with my son) and MHGU (just started online play and got to HR2 last week)..... i think i need some vacation time and i need to stop buying games for a couple of weeks.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (December 1st)

Drussa

Tempted to get CIV 6 but not sure if it is for me. Put D3 aside for alittle and started MHGU again last night as i wanted to check out the online part and see if i can increase my rank. Had a blast all night and am hooked again.
My son is getting his swimming diploma today and i got him Starlink as a present so likely we will be playing this coming days.

Diablo, running my crusader on Torment IV now. Hoping to finally get some set pieces. Doing my monk and necromancer in season mode. Noticed Starlink is on Sale in Netherlands so may pick it up later this weekend. Sorry Monster Hunter, have no time for you at the moment. Dark souls is also on hold until further notice. Next week Warframe coming out, smash little after that. I think i need to take some vacation time.

Re: Video: Digital Foundry Takes A Look At Diablo III: Eternal Collection On Nintendo Switch

@Cobalt I appreciate people being critical but i feel you are just going for the negative at any comment you make on this forum. I know you have your Switch for the Nintendo first party games and you are not satisfied with the rate Nintendo creates them for you but if you only care for the first parties because all the rest is better on PS4 or XBox, why even bother to comment on them every chance you get. WE KNOW SWITCH IS TECHNICALLY LESS VS PS4, Nintendo wanted a different sort of console instead of just trying to mimic Sony. Accept it, get over it or please just stop trying to be negative with same type of comment on each article. I bought my Switch for the hybrid part and first party games. All the ports / late 3rd party games are a bonus. I can choose to buy it on my Switch or on my PS4 and the decision for me is on how i want to experience the game (some i want to play only on a big screen, but i know that limits the amount of time i can play it with the tv's being used by kids / wife). I am not a frame rate / graphics freak, the gameplay itself is for me more important and making it playable in handheld is a big plus for me. If you emphasis the graphics and frame rates, then take the PS4 versions but you complain about the technical inferiority constantly and it is not going away so either accept it or sell it but please, just please stop complaining about it in every article. As i said i do not need fanboyism in every comment but the fact that the switch is not able to provide PS4 Pro type of performance is known so no point to point this out all the time. use your criticism more pointed towards what makes sense (like why no PIKMIN4 still ).
