Yes. Love drifting. Especially love it when it’s a simple hold down a button to initiate the drift type game e.g MK8D, CTR, Ashphalt 9. Not really a fan/good at drifting in racing sims where it’s all to fiddly...
For me the Wii U was perfect. When the TV was busy I used the gamepad on the couch. Gamepad was so comfy for my bigger hands. Now I have the Switch I use it the same way as the Wii U and have installed Hori Split Pad Pro controllers as the Switch is way too small.
P.S The Wii U pro controller and gamepad are perfect for games that use the right analog stick a lot such as Splatoon; Zelda BoTW; FPS etc as the right analog stick is above the buttons in a much more natural position for your thumb.
Despite being less powerful hardware wise Nintendo has much funner games...so no need for next gen Sony/Xbox.... but if Rocket League ever becomes unplayable on available Nintendo hardware then I would be forced to purchase an Xbox series x.
@nkarafo the game is perfect difficulty but the last level is way harder than the rest of the game... even so highly recommend this as collecting all the bees feels like a nice accomplishment even if I couldn’t beat the last level
@AG_Awesome Absolutely agree Last level is horrid. If I was stuck in prison with nothing to do I might have put the time in to beat it but as a free man I got way better things to do than grind away at that!! Apart from last level the game is absolutely fantastic
One of the only games I ever got brand new... cost about $100 AU which I scrapped and saved for but could never get close. One afternoon my Mum took pity on me and slipped me the extra cash I needed my excitement levels when I held the box in my hands were off the scale.
I can’t understand the saltiness here... I play to win not to unlock cosmetic items so all these changes are fine by me. Hopefully play lists will get even fuller now it’s free. The more people playing online the better.
One of the big reasons many have for buying this game is for nolstagia/aesthetics/collectibility /“nice to have” type reasons. This would leave a bad taste for them I could imagine.
Looks great but will it be as amazing as rocket league? I doubt it... but can’t wait to check it out.
If it’s one of those games that are easy to pick up but hard to master (E.g ARMS, Rocket League) I’ll love it but... if the controls and moves are a little too complex it won’t be for me.
Doesn’t help me as I need switch online to play MK8 deluxe anyway... But would love if i could play rocket league on Xbox one without subscription....not gonna happen methinks.
Perhaps they’ll release these games individually after March if only digitally? Or perhaps they’ll feature on Nintendo online service? If they don’t the price of this collection may well get very expensive to buy / lucrative to sell down the track.
CTR nitro amazing single player and terrible online multiplayer. MK8 is superb online and just a bit more polished than CTR in my opinion although both are very different games.
Loved the take your time and get to the bottom to unlock the next track challenges. Doing this I unlocked all the mountains and pretty much all the tracks except two of them.
The complete under a certain time challenges are too hard for me but this is just one aspect of the game and you don’t have to go in for these challenges unless you want to unlock 100 % all tracks and bikes.
I hope tournaments don’t steal too many players from the regular ranked lists. The way I play is to jump on to ranked for 2 or 3 matches then jump off again I’d never have time for a tournament... On the other hand free to play might bring more people so lists might be fully than ever. My region is Oceana (Australia) and I can always get a competitive match easily except at 1am or 2am it’s a bit of a wait. P.S This game and MK8 deluxe make up 95% of my gaming life. I love then both soooo much!!
But many “physical” copies require a significant download the first time you play the game. If the game’s severs have ceased to exist then that physical game is useless! Am I wrong?
@Jokerwolf yes they are good but for me not as amazing... I enjoyed yooka laylee impossible lair more than Tropical Freeze as it has that fluid role jump mechanic of the original DCKs that I loved so much.
Tropical Freeze is a totally different game to the original SNES DKC trilogy. The gameplay feels totally different - Tropical Freeze feels heavy and clunky in comparison. The originals were poetry in motion.
Tekken, Crash Bandicoot, Wipeout all looked amazing to me... but then I saw Mario 64 and my choice was made... then came Mario kart 64, 007 and Banjo Kazooie. No regrets.
I own this on Xbox. Last time I checked online multiplayer racing was pitiful with terrible match making, glitchy poorly populated lobbies, woeful loading times and no ranking system!!!

My fav game. And yes like others here I’m not great. I have a solid ground game but my aerial game is ...well... hit and miss. The great thing is there are thousands of others online at the same level as me so I can always enjoy winning about half the time. I can’t say that for other online multiplayer games.
I've said it before and I'll keep saying it.... I want to use the trigger buttons for drifting/boosting not the shoulder buttons!! I have big hands - they feel cramped up playing. Other than that I really love this game. I love Mario Kart 8 to bits and I don't want to compare it with CTR-NF because the mechanics are so different. They're both awesome for different reasons.

Apart from DKC 1 & 2 I’ve got no interest in SNES or NES games.
Too many amazing current games...

Re: PSA: It's Diddy's Kong Quest, Not Diddy Kong's Quest
The intended title is Diddy’s Kong Quest however in common parlance it is mostly known as Diddy Kong’s Quest. Both are correct.

Re: Nintendo Reportedly Arguing Switch Joy-Con Drift "Isn't A Real Problem"
Never experienced it on switch or switch lite. But I often use pro controller or Hori split pads so I’m not really a good sample.
Re: Random: Remember To Charge Your Switch At Least Twice A Year, Nintendo Helpfully Suggests
@ShaiHulud
You can rebind buttons and invert analog sticks via the Switch settings. A feature that has only been available for a year or so I think.
Re: Reminder: Rocket League Is Now Free-To-Play On Nintendo Switch
I wish that everyone who paid for it before it became free was given a unique goal explosion to show off their legacy status.

Will still be an amazing game.

Yes that’s the movie:
Initial D
Brilliant film!!
It was on Netflix Australia at one point and maybe still is.
Re: Review: Inertial Drift - A '90s-Style Racer With A Unique Drift Mechanic
Always wanted a racing game with the same drift mechanics as a Kat racer but it never came my way.... I’m not a fan of racing sims at all.
And now this? Am a little sceptical about the twin stick but I love drifting so might give this a shot at some point.

But the impossible lair is tediously difficult....😫😫😫

Re: Crash Team Racing Will Soon Allow Players To Buy Wumpa Coins With Real Money
Wish they would use some of the money from the micro transactions to pay someone to fix the crappy online multiplayer:
No ranking system
No decent match making system / empty lobbies
Slow loading times
Tedious podium ceremony after each race.
Re: Feature: Best Nintendo Switch 2D Platformers
Gunman Clive Collection (1&2). Awesome games. Must play.
