150 plus hours, never even tried the open world, I just love the new mechanics and racing online.

Mario Kart World is a superb game that will stand the test of time.

Re: Poll: How Many Hours Have You Spent In Mario Kart World So Far?

DreemWeever

I love researching alternative pathways that utilise rail grinding and wall riding, and then trying to beat my best times in time trials, and putting my skills to the test online.

30 hours in and only just scratching the surface on how to master the tracks.

The handling feels fantastic and despite the controversy over lack of 3 lap options online, the game is phenomenal and will surely see massive success over the years. ❤️ 😍

Re: Of Course Mario Kart World Is Being Review Bombed

DreemWeever

@KoopaTheGamer I originally thought it didn't change much either... but last night random gave me intermission tracks 3/4 times...

I personally don't mind intermission tracks but I think every second round, circuit tracks should be an option in Vs Online.

Re: Fans Reckon Nintendo Has "Killed" Mario Kart World With Its Latest Update

DreemWeever

The update has not actually reduced the chance of getting a 3 lap race very much.

Selecting Random online now only includes the possibility of the three intermission tracks offered for that round, not all the intermission tracks.

So, if everyone selects Random, 95% chance it will still be a 3 lap race.

Still, the update does feel like a slap in the face to those who love 3 lap racing online.

Re: GoldenEye 007 Is Getting A Digital Release On Xbox

DreemWeever

This looks like it is coming to Xbox but it hasn't been officially announced and who knows last minute obstacles could possibly yet again prevent its release... I think this article is a little misleading when in claims the game is more or less confirmed for Xbox. Just don't want to get my hopes up till it's official.

Re: Soapbox: Game Genres Are Broken

DreemWeever

Metroidvania - the term helps me distinguish between linear platformers like Kaze and the Wild Masks and platformers like Ori and the Blind Forest that involve more exploration, powerups and backtracking. The first type of game I enjoy a lot more than the other.

The term Metroidvania is useful but not perfect in that it carries too much atmospheric connotations to games like Metroid and Castlevania.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (May 8th)

DreemWeever

Kaze and the Wild Masks. Not as atmospheric as the SNES Donkey Kong Country games but the gameplay and level designs are even better. The Mask mechanics are especially good. You die a lot but once you’ve worked out the pattern and obstacles of a level the feeling of speeding through that mastered level is magical.

Re: Feature: Every 2D Super Mario Game Ranked

As a kid I finished Super Mario Land (GB) and Super Mario World (SNES). I own New Super Mario Bros U but never got around to finishing it partly as save points weren’t after each level.... does the switch port save progress after each level?
