A patch so we can use the trigger buttons to hop/drift/boost instead of the current default shoulder buttons would be good.

Have this on Xbox one and the online multiplayer lobbys are empty plus no ranking system with online multiplayer either... what about switch version?

@WarioIsTopTier mmm ... thx for that comparison I love mk8 but I think I might enjoy this too for different reasons. Might give it a try when I get the funds. In the meantime busy with Rocket League another addictive car game!

What is online racing like?

I cannot stand the way so many potentially awesome Wii games force you to use motion controls without the option of a pro controller. For example Donkey Kong Country Returns and Metroid Prime Trilogy. I just can’t stand motion controls.

Does this have local multiplayer?

Love these games to bits. Totally addictive. Playing the games through with each of the three characters broadens the experience. Love the graphics, the music, the feel of the gameplay mechanics and the timing of the platforming. Love the trial and error aspect of having to learn each stage to master it. Have not had so much fun with a platformer since the DKC trilogy came out in the 1990s. Equal with my favourite games of all time. This game was made for me. Just perfect.

Cannot stand street racing games tried need for speed u and struggled to even find how to begin a race then I struggled to see the corners until way too late.

Yoshi’s Woolly World is one of the best games I’ve ever had the pleasure of playing. Never got to play Yoshis Island and yet to play Crafted World as not yet in possession of a Switch.

i have wireless headphones that work off my smart TV so no worries if pro controller has no jack. easy solution.

Well well well... another successful story about NSMBU Deluxe... "just another lazy port" seems to be the mantra around here and yet- look at the sales! Fact is not everyone is a crusty old geek whose played every iteration of 2D mario games since super mario bros on the NES. For many gamers this is a new game! Think of all the 12 year olds who have just got a switch... this game is great for. Should have been awarded 9/10. If a new gamer finds this sight and reads 8/10 for this game I believe he/she will be being mislead by that score.

NL gives this game an 8 and then keeps publishing little side articles about it.....clearly this is a major title deserving a better score

This is a brilliant 2D platformer. 9/10 at least. The 8/10 score seems like NL is playing sychophant to those with petty complaints about the series in general and is a joke considering what has been awarded 9/10 over the years. Seriously!!!!!

Great game then and still is. Just wish I could see more of the level on the screen - unwittingly getting killed ‘cause cannot see them coming 😩

I have all the retro games I could ever dream of safely downloaded onto my wii u which has a top virtual console collection and I will keep my Wii u forever. Sorted.

@goggles789 if Nintendo want to eliminate physical games why are the eshop downloads more expensive than physical copies? I don’t know about switch but on Wii u eshop Australia splatoon is still $79.95 AU but at the shops (that still have stock) $48 AU. Thus most of my games are physical copies.

...the social plight and atrocities against native american should be known and brought to light..... but identity politics shouldn't tarnish images such as the feather as being representative of these injustices.

As someone removed from the social politics of America, I do not see these images of feathers etc as negative of shallow but have always found them powerful and colorful symbols. Speaking honestly, for me personally these and other symbols of Native Americans have always given me the impression of a peoples who are graceful, wise, refined, in deep understanding of nature and strong in battle. It never occurred to me that anything negative or derogatory could be applied to them.

Ironically removing this type of stuff leads to a loss of culture for the native Americans. Future generations will now longer have any idea of the uniqueness of Native American culture through out history because all “stereotypes” of their people have been removed. If I were a Native American I would be proud of the feather and happy to see it incorporated into popular culture. Greivence against such things as a feather are often highjacked for political motivations.

Unlike the Wii the Wii U was much less about motion controls. Some games you could turn on or off such as Splatoon and MK8 and COD BLOPSII. Wii U allowed me back into the world of Nintendo because despite a lot of effort to learn to like Motion/Gyro controls... the fact is I cannot stand them!

Even when I get a Switch I will keep my Wii U safe forever! Complete with all the brilliant Virtual Console games downloaded onto it....that I actually own... nuff said

Splatoon, Mario kart 8, DKCTF, Metroid Prime Trilogy, Super Metroid, DKC trilogy, NSMBU, SM3DW, Super Mario World, Golden Eye 007 Wii, ZELDA games... off TV play... so much awesomeness... so under rated. Still loving it. Most of the best games on the switch are ports from the Wii U or are new versions of great Wii u games i.e Splatoon 2. The Switch looks awesome but have not purchased yet because still getting so much joy from the Wii U. (Admittedly I only picked up my Wii U 6 months ago for a song). My last system before the Wii U was 10 years ago - the GC. That’s my story! Thanks for reading.

If you sold your wii u ... then get hold of another one... and get all the awesome virtual console games you could ever wish for. Lately I've been playing DKCT and Super Metroid. LONG LIVE THE WII U

Depends on the gameplay especially drift mechanics... love drifting.

If we have a big back log of games do we give up on a game too easily? Sometimes I need to play a game for 5 or 6 hours before I get hooked. The better we get at a game the more fun it becomes.

Picked Up a Wii U and a bunch of great games 2 months ago for peanuts... love it... online multiplayer for games like Mario Kart 8 still awesome. The wii U lives on.
When online multiplayer stops for Mario Kart 8 and Splatoon and when I finish all my games... so... in another 3 years.. I might look at getting a switch.
I'm a budget gamer that always picks up the 2nd latest system
