Re: Metroid Prime Hunters Designer Would Love To See The Game Remade Today

Donutsavant

I actually just played through this game for the first time about a year ago!

The good: at it's best the levels feel like mini Metroid prime worlds. The hunter designs own. The Mega Man style weapon upgrades are fun

The Bad: it is an FPS on a DS and I don't like the controls. The final boss is impossible

The Ugly: I'm pretty sure every planet has a self destruct/escape sequence... But then you go back to the planet a second time lol

I am LOVING Resident Evil 5 right now. I am in chapter 3, and while it's certainly not as good as the all time champion 4 (and I'm a little jealous of all of the people who got to play 8) it is as good as the two Revelations games! What a series!!!

If I do need a pallete cleanser I will start Aria of Sorrow. Who knows??

Oh boy!! I'm on vacation and I have big plans for this weekend!!! I finished Bug Fables a couple days ago (AMAZING) and yesterday I sat down to play Gato Roboto start to finish (PRETTY GOOD!) Today I want to start Carto, and then I'll get cracking on Smurfs Mission Vileaf!

I really let my backlog get away from me last year but this is going to help

Re: At Least Someone Is Celebrating Castlevania's 35th In The Right Way

I don't understand the distaste for Limited Run, and feel like other companies like Super Rare give them a bad name.

Limited Run gives you a 5 week preorder and theoretically everyone COULD get a copy if they wanted to. While other limited runs are small amounts that create competition (and I also find that scummy) I feel that Limited Run is the most fair version of this process.

Limited runs are not the alternative to an "unlimited run" they are the alternative to no physical version at all

Re: Talking Point: What Did You Think Of The Game Awards 2021?

It takes two looks bad. I haven't played it so I can't judge it too harshly. I expected any of the other titles to have won instead, and even hoped for it to have been Psyconauts 2. Alas

My advice for the show though: women dressed beautifully! Every man had the same stupid jeans t shirt and blazer combo and looked like trash. Do better!

Except Doug Bowser who is surprisingly my type

After finishing Dread I began to work through my backlog starting with Effie. I finished that in just a few days and walked away a little meh, and perhaps uninspired. I've started Bug Fables, Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance and Skyward Sword HD. None of them have set my heart particularly aflame however. So we will see what I stick with this weekend

Re: Poll: What's The Worst Legend Of Zelda Game?

No fair Including Tri Force Heroes. It's not Canon and it screws with the results!

That said, I went with Phantom Hourglass for the same reasons I don't care for Spirit Tracks. But Spirit Tracks train theme and music make it better by this much.

@Joe-b that's a tough call!!! I loved 8 and I think so much of the thrill was how surprised I was to love this previously unknown quantity.

Now I love the series and 9 was so so fun and exciting and the world is lovely and rich. The slow down that has been complained about on this website is true however so if that is a deal breaker that's totally fair. I still loved it maybe as much as 8

I own it but haven't touched it yet. I am a little surprised this IP never took off with the Kingdom Hearts crowd?
I would like to see data from publishers on how Switch versions of games do when they arrive day and date with other console versions. It seems like a no trainer that Life Is Strange would have done phenomenal on Switch if it just dang came out when the others did

Re: Kirby And The Forgotten Land Has Been Rated For Nintendo Switch

@rockodoodle I get the sense that the Kirby team (which I believe is Hal) is a second party studio for Nintendo and functions in much the same way as Pokemon Company. They seem to always be working on a new game in their series when they wrap their last one, and don't need to receive a commission from Nintendo in the way a Yoshi/Star Fox game might.
