Re: Uh Oh, It Looks Like More Super Mario Bros. Movie Toys Have Leaked

Dezzy70

@Duncanballs
I know, but a AAA Mario platformer especially the Mario Odyssey type are probably the most amazing playable games ever.
We have had one new one this generation Mario Odyssey and considering it’s 6 years March and probably 7 in 2024 I thought we would have had two, especially with the Switch consoles amazing sales. They would sell millions of, say a Mario Odyssey 2. Also with the whole Movie and PR around that as well.

Re: Talking Point: So, When Will Nintendo Announce Its Next Console?

Dezzy70

2024 release date March same as Switch.
Hope it’s a Switch 2 with handheld and docked mode and of course more powerful.
However more power creates expectation of top tier graphics etc, more development time etc and Nintendo studios in size pale in comparison’s to some of Sonys and Microsoft’s.
We don’t want the next Zelda to be ten years plus away etc.

Also most interesting with current customer requirements. WILL IT BE FULL DAY ONE NO EXTRA COST, BACKWARD COMPATIBLE.

If not that will be very anti consumer in the current climate.

It will be to do with what environmental policies and time duration countries have agreed and signed up to.
Europe normally goes environmentally crazy where I live UK so things like no plastic straws and toys and crappy little car engines with tiny little electric motors.

USA and Asia sometimes go, whatever we not signing that environmental deal or have later dates to implement or not at all.

Most of it is false balls anyway. Yes don’t have plastic straws but it takes more energy and carbon dioxide into the atmosphere to make the cardboard straw.
So it ticks the no plastic list that the environment groups are currently watching. But not the extra energy used to make the cardboard straw, which they are not really watching too much.

Most environmental policies that are trendy give back in one hand but take in another.

It’s like a pure electric car, it takes that car to do about 50 thousand miles before it starts to give back to the environment over a 1.5 little petrol car.
Because of the mining of the lithium for the batteries and the less environmental friendly manufacturing process.
It’s all slightly false. Then what do we do with all this dead lithium battery cells in about 7 years, the next environmental issue.

Re: Here Are Metacritic's Highest-Rated Switch Games Of 2022

Dezzy70

Wasn’t the best or the worst year for me and switchy.
Nothing jumped out at me, nothing really in house spectacular. Kirby and Splatoon 3 were cool as was Bayonetta 3. New MK8 tracks are a nice addition.
But I still miss my first two years of Switch, which I doubt will get repeated. Maybe this year 2023 with Zelda and Pikmin 4, if they added a new AAA Mario or DK platform to that and maybe a remaster of the first Metroid then that would make 2023 a very Nintendo special year.
Just have a that feeling their in house are at the new Switch 2 console game stage over the last two years.

In UK shop stock and online stock.
There is thousands of them and they not shifting.
And a certain chain is concerned they have lots of money tide up in this stock and it is not shifting.

There maybe a special surprise from one of them Black Friday with a good Series X price drop.
Keep an eye out if you want one.

Re: Random: Sony Alleges That Microsoft Is Trying To Turn It Into Nintendo

Dezzy70

I know I’m daft for stock counting, but in the two years since release of series S and X I have never seen so much stock of these console sitting there unsold in the UK even with the recent Series S price drop. It’s a dam disgrace by Microsoft for Xbox.
Also in the USA if they have shortages as so many say on here, then it is a logistical disaster by Microsoft of stock allocation.
Far too many in the UK and not enough in the USA.
Companies have sacked managers etc for far less, they must have so much money or be so mismanaged or just don’t care.
Unbelievable from a management point and business point of few.

Re: Anniversary: Fans Celebrate As Metroid Prime Turns 20 Years Old

Dezzy70

And we still haven’t got a new entry for the Switch.
Not even a proper remake of the first game for Christmas 2022 for Switch.
Badly lacking Nintendo.
I’ve got my money on their house studios concerning the remake, focused on developing games for Switch 2 as they take a long time to make and resources are scarce for anything AAA in house for the current Switch, like no new Mario of Donkey Platform game as well.
All for Switch 2, you all just wait and see.

Re: The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Has Been Rated For Nintendo Switch

Dezzy70

Old gamer here and BOTW is probably one of top games that I have ever played in my long gaming life.
I love adventuring in games and the open world and BOTW along with the shrines gave so so much to that.
But, I’m concerned about this sequel, if the land Hyrule is the same as BOTW then there is nothing new on that land to adventure around, I have spent over a hundred hours exploring that land already.

I really hope the new stuff above or below is equal in size to give me new adventuring areas to explore.
I really hope Nintendo haven’t created what I will call an Add On type package, I mean it’s been in development for over 5 years so surly the new adventure areas to explore should be amazing and expansive. Also I hope there are shines still as well, they bought a welcome break and a focus on puzzle solving.
I have haven’t been a big fan of Nintendo of late due to certain aspects of change in the last three years of in house AAA game development, so I pray they haven’t created a shallow Add On type Zelda game.

Re: Nintendo Considering "Various Initiatives" And "Further Enhancements" For The Switch Online Service

Dezzy70

If me it would have to be more big AAA Nintendo in-house studio games.
They have such a vast library to choose from and characters. I know these games take time to produce etc etc.
But if it is an honest wish list then that is definitely mine and I’m not moaning, if they weren’t so dam amazing then I wouldn’t wish for them.
For me the Switch is lacking some massive big AAA Nintendo in house produced games.
There has definitely been a lack of NEW platform games maybe a NEW Mario 2d platformer and a NEW Donkey Kong 3d world platformer just to name two games. Metroid 4, F Zero.
They need bigger in house AAA studios.

I’m sort of glad they haven’t gone and for the next console maybe SWITCH 2 for say the power of PS5 because it would take them way to long to get games out to gamers with visual and sound production values of say HFW and GOWR.

Re: Switch Sales Have Only Now Surpassed The Xbox One In The UK

Dezzy70

@LUIGITORNADO
I’m UK and had all Nintendo consoles on day one.
Over the years most children have and had Nintendo handheld consoles, with a few home consoles mixed in.
Once the child becomes a teenager or younger the PlayStation and to some less degree Xbox hormones kick in.
FIFA and COD are big over here and I guess Nintendo is for children and kids.
Having said that if you end up at someone’s house with a Switch like mine, everyone young and old plays Mario Kart.
If Nintendo want the UK to be a very big market they need. Top end graphics that wow, fifa and cod looking amazing and try to out PlayStation. 😂😂😂

Re: Hideki Kamiya Thanks Nintendo For Helping Make Bayonetta 3 A Reality

Dezzy70

Platinum games have about 300 employees
Company would be a great addition to Nintendo studios.
Moving forward to Nintendo’s next console of course it will be probably hybrid and more powerful, there will be graphical, sound and AI expectations etc, which as we know take more development time going forward, having platinum aboard would really help.

Re: Review: Resident Evil Village Cloud - A Solid Streaming Version For Switch Owners

Dezzy70

@SteamEngenius
The point isn’t about fan boy which console has sold more or done better so please I have a Switch I play every day. And have had every single Nintendo console since day one.
My original post started as a what if situation in terms of Nintendo developing a more powerful console and having current third party AAA games on their console.
A sort of best of both worlds amazing Nintendo AAA exclusives and the best AAA current third party games and what a console that would give us.

Re: Review: Resident Evil Village Cloud - A Solid Streaming Version For Switch Owners

Dezzy70

@ketrac
That is a valid point Nintendo don’t have to use all the consoles power due to their studios but third parties could at least support a lot better.
Well they won’t be doing it for sure.
I think it will be a more powerful Switch 2 or even maybe just a Switch pro so it’s stays in the original Switch family. That will then give them the chance of having the most units sold console over taking the PS2.
But currently I do believe next year 2023 they do need a few Western big AAA games, as much as Splatoon 3 is good it’s not a Western market big seller. They need maybe a new Mario platform game or even a new Mario kart to keep sales going in the Western areas as sales are starting to slow there.
Even better probably the best and biggest selling Movie to Game tie in, surly they can’t miss that opportunity with a new Mario platform game
And the Movie release. That would be a massive western area seller.

Re: Review: Resident Evil Village Cloud - A Solid Streaming Version For Switch Owners

Dezzy70

@Ralizah
I totally agree Nintendo studio sizes and experience is not up to an open Zelda graphical world of say HFW. The game would never release or take over ten years.
Nintendo are where they are and that suits them and their handheld hybrid system suits them and surely their next console will be the same, due to a few factors including game development time and cost of more powerful systems.

Re: Review: Resident Evil Village Cloud - A Solid Streaming Version For Switch Owners

Dezzy70

@ketrac
Valid point, also it doesn’t have to be series x powerful especially the last two year and probably next year at least. It could have been PS4 powerful say to keep up with third parties.
But they have missed that boat now and next year will see more PS5 and Series x only games.

Another issue they have is their studio sizes and development without being disrespectful, you need massive resources to create games at the detail level of say HFW and GOW and sorry to say Nintendo studios are less experienced in that field and take a long time as it is.

Re: Review: Resident Evil Village Cloud - A Solid Streaming Version For Switch Owners

Dezzy70

@Ralizah
It was just an idea or wonder if situation.
You say compete in that market but they never have since the SNES Days against the mega drive.
After that they went their way using special media storage devices different from the other consoles at the time N64 cartridges and small GameCube disc.
The draw for a powerful Nintendo console would be the ability to play Nintendo exclusives at a higher graphical level and still have the full support of the latest third party games.

Think about we have not had Nintendo console in ages that is a similar level of power to the others for full support.

But yes after all that the hybrid system is doing very well, and I think they will stick with that type of console.
