Re: Yes, Hogwarts Legacy Really Is Coming To The Nintendo Switch

Dezzy70

@BTB20
You are correct, forget about those.
Posted to early in the morning for my brain. šŸ˜‚
I need to catch up Switch wise as have been off the Switch scene for a while, probably since around Luigi Mansion 3.
Just bought a new Switch OLED white and pro controller and 128gb memory card.
Currently playing MK8 and Bowers Fury.
Will probably pick up Kirby Friday.

Re: Yes, Hogwarts Legacy Really Is Coming To The Nintendo Switch

Dezzy70

The main here with it coming to Switch is its portable and you can play where you wish.
Also the massive Switch user base probably over 110 million time the game releases.
That’s a lot of sales to miss out in if they didn’t release in Switch.

Anyway the best selling game on Switch this year will be Lego skywalker Star Wars, but only if BOTW2 doesn’t release 2022 or a surprise Mario or DK platform game.

Re: Nintendo Switch Led UK Console Sales In February, But Numbers Are Down Year-On-Year

Dezzy70

@Grumblevolcano
Smiths toys are really good for stock always
Seem to have switch OLED.
And good for series x stock they had a drop this week but nearly all gone now.
Yes smiths toys do get forgotten for video games but since the Series x and PS5 shortages people seem to have realised a bit more.
It’s like game even if it says no stock delivery do a store postcode search on their site and a lot of times they have actual store stock.

Re: Nintendo Switch Led UK Console Sales In February, But Numbers Are Down Year-On-Year

Dezzy70

@HamatoYoshi
Totally agree at the moment and for a long time my switch has not been played apart from the odd family Mario kart play.
Nintendo real in house studios have not released a pure AAA game in ages.
Glad I own all three consoles to keep my big AAA game playing hobby alive.

Don’t get me wrong there is nothing like a Nintendo in house AAA title, it’s about time we had BOTW2, new Mario or DK platform game, Pikmin 4 the list goes on.

Re: The House Of The Dead: Remake Is Alive, Gets Switch Release Date

Dezzy70

If the motion control is spot on with TVs and we get a gun attachment like the Wii did then this should be good.
Also we could then do with some more of the games like this. Especially Namco ones, time crisis 4, dead storm pirates etc.
The switch could cut out a nice niche market for itself here.

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Sticks With Mario Kart 8 Through 2023, But What About Switch?

Dezzy70

It sometimes nice to have a longer generation, but bless the poor old switch, it’s looking old and ageing even more so against the new generation.
Even Nintendo’s own Bowser Fury as good as it was, was making the Switch, lower resolution, fps and jar slightly on the fly as it cracked under pressure.

I’m definitely ready for a new Switch and playing a far more detailed Mario Odyssey 2 or BOTW 2 in 4K with high res textures and long draw distance worlds filled with lush detail, amazing environments and weather effects and many detailed enemies and NPC.

I will be honest and say when the Switch first released I was ok, but now I long for the above graphical in Nintendo’s amazing gaming worlds.
I think that’s is why my Switch days are numbered and play time is dwindling and my PS5 time is increasing.
Don’t get me wrong I will there for BOTW 2 etc.

Re: Wii Sports Is Reborn As 'Nintendo Switch Sports'

Dezzy70

@Troll_Decimator
That’s why I have all three consoles and I pick the top AAA games for each and play the odd other games now and again.
I just think Nintendo did more AAA in the Wii days like Mario galaxy 1 and 2 being 3 years apart as an example.
I think it is more about cost and return on investment now than making big AAA games for Nintendo.
Remember and no disrespect to Nintendo I adore their AAA games, but a Mario Odyssey 2 not should take 5 years plus as they will have the game assets and engine from the first game and lot of work already there and done. Also the games are not exactly very graphically, high texture and full of detail and 4K etc, say like a Horizon Forbidden West, which has taken 5 years and must use masses of resource and cost to produce and I think about 300 developers plus.
I think Nintendo just don’t want to do it as maybe like I said the return on investment is not great and Switch is selling so well why should they bother.

Re: Wii Sports Is Reborn As 'Nintendo Switch Sports'

Dezzy70

@Troll_Decimator
You have a good point, but the Switch has some of the best AAA games around, they are just old and about 4 to 5 years old now, BOTW, Mario Odyssey and Mario Kart for example.
They just have stopped making them now and slowed down in house AAA game production.
The Wii had Galaxy 1 and 2 within three years of each other, that was amazing.
Hoping BOTW2 will be 2022 and a surprise NEW DK or Mario platform game 2022.
I can but dream.

Re: Wii Sports Is Reborn As 'Nintendo Switch Sports'

Dezzy70

@Troll_Decimator
That’s cool you like the games as that is what is good for you.
Correct I mainly have switch for the big AAA, Mario Odyssey, BOTW, Luigi Mansion, Mario Kart, Yoshi was good, Metroid 4 if and when, Mario 2d platformer, DK 3d game. The list goes on but not on the Switch since the first two years really.
Thank god we have some big AAA on the PS5 this year.

Re: Wii Sports Is Reborn As 'Nintendo Switch Sports'

Dezzy70

@Troll_Decimator
Come on had a switch since day one
The best years were the first two years
Since then it’s remake, remaster, rehash, old game, cash cow of a console.
Let’s hope the final 6 months of the year are better.
Even the Mario kart add on tracks look so like the ones we already have.

Re: Poll: What Are Your Hopes For The February Nintendo Direct?

Dezzy70

Staying very low expectation wise.
We all deserve a new Mario platform game or DK of epic size in full game legendary mode.
Surly their in house AAA teams must have something other than remakes and BOTW2.
It’s almost 5 years since we had Mario Odyssey the last big in house platform game.

Re: Video: Zelda 64's Lake Hylia Has Been Reimagined In Unreal Engine 5, And It Looks Absolutely Stunning

Dezzy70

@Wexter
Would love to see it from Nintendo.
Think BOTW2 will look the best we can get from the Switch open world and Zelda wise and we will have to see what Switch next generation brings.
For me it’s more their set up and the resource it would take and cost and time. They would need to expand and employ into their studios to deliver with a respectable time and cost.
You think a game of HFW graphical fidelity with all bells and whistles took a studio of about 400 and some parts outsourced 4.5 years. I don’t think Nintendos whole entire in house studios are that big.

Re: Video: Zelda 64's Lake Hylia Has Been Reimagined In Unreal Engine 5, And It Looks Absolutely Stunning

Dezzy70

@Wexter
I think I meant to say the level of detail in HFW or FH5 they are both cross generation as well as new generation.
It would just be nice for a change to have high fidelity graphics, textures, 4K, HDR etc and 60fps on a Zelda or 3D Mario or Donkey Kong game. It would so draw into the immersion of the gaming world of those games and characters.
Think it will never happen as Nintendo won’t release anything that powerful even at PS4 pro or Xbox one x level and the resource that level of graphical fidelity and knowledge of developers Nintendo just has not got especially releasing the game in time and return in cost investment, they set up so differently.

Re: Video: Zelda 64's Lake Hylia Has Been Reimagined In Unreal Engine 5, And It Looks Absolutely Stunning

Dezzy70

Sometimes it’s a shame that probably Zelda and other Nintendo games AAA will never see these levels of graphics, imagine BOTW2 at this level
I know Nintendo do things differently but they are about two generations behind now maybe three.
They also being honest don’t have the level and size of studios to deal with it and time taken etc and expertise.
The thing is when you look at Sony and Microsoft are up to with studios etc, Nintendo could get left behind one day in the future, lucky at the moment they have decades of games and loyal fan base.
But remember only to a point, I had a wiiu but look what happened there.
I think if it went wrong for Nintendo again they would struggle to come back.

Re: Switch Was UK's Bestselling Console In December With A 'Dominant' Performance

Dezzy70

I’ve had every Nintendo home console day one since the NES and it amazes me how well the Switch is still selling.
Will be very interesting where Nintendo go from here, will their next console be something totally different or very similar Switch 2.
They will also be very careful as we all know what happened from the WII to WIIU transition.
They are in an amazing place with Switch but the Nintendo suit brains have a tough decision what to do next.

Re: Random: Nintendo Kart Is Trending On Social Media, Following Claims Of Mario Kart 9 Being "In Active Development"

Dezzy70

@Gamer_Zeus
A typical Super Nintendo fan boy you are.
I said they maybe undertaking minimum investment but maximum profit, as the switch is still selling really well. That is a business model that is used in business all over the world sometimes in business.
That means in plain English, don’t spend much money making new games as the console sells lots anyway so we don’t need to. This will make us some good money.

And yes the global situation, well other studios are getting big AAA games out th door to gamers.

And yes I do know about games development, so if it takes so long how did they get Mario galaxy 1 out then 3 years later Mario galaxy 2 and also create other games for their handheld consoles.
People like you let Nintendo off the hook so no wonder they do what they do with their business model as suckers like you kiss and cuddle them every five minutes.

Re: Random: Nintendo Kart Is Trending On Social Media, Following Claims Of Mario Kart 9 Being "In Active Development"

Dezzy70

@Paddle1
Well I would love another one and it looks like the switch generation will be 7 years until 2024
So they could have done it or do it.
The really hard work is done game engine wise and some of the graphical assets apart from new ones.
They will have the engine world and level creation tools in place from the first one.
I think they don’t want to bother as Mr Switch is still selling by the bucket load. And game development does cost time, money and resources.
I mean we haven’t had new not remaster 2d Mario or new 2d or 3d Donkey Kong platformer.
If we don’t get at least one of these by say 2024 the predicated switch replacement time then they being dam super business like and saving money as the switch is still selling well.
Business model of minimum investment maximum return.
Even though it would be in house studios making the games they still pay for outsourcing of certain aspects of the games creation, like maybe the cgi or music making etc.

Re: Random: Nintendo Kart Is Trending On Social Media, Following Claims Of Mario Kart 9 Being "In Active Development"

Dezzy70

@Kirgo
Well I will look forward to playing them when they get released of course.
They could have been instructed to work on other slightly non related game products.
Maybe new console game engine development or involved in R&D for future things to come.
All I know is its a long time since we had an amazing AAA big in house title of say Mario Odyssey size and quality.
Don’t forget there was only 3 years between Mario galaxy 1 & 2. We are at five years nearly since Mario Odyssey. Also they only produce games for one console now. They used to make home and hand held separate console games.
Just all seems a bit long and delayed for me.

Re: Random: Nintendo Kart Is Trending On Social Media, Following Claims Of Mario Kart 9 Being "In Active Development"

Dezzy70

@Gamer_Zeus
How little you know see below:
Animal Crossing Correct in house made
Smash Bros Correct in house made.
Paper Mario NOT IN HOUSE MADE, played it ok.
Luigis Mansion NOT IN HOUSE MADE, I played it and loved it. 100 percent completed.
Mario Party Superstars NOT IN HOUSE MADE. Play it good game.
Super Mario 3D Bowser's Fury PLAYED IT ENJOYED BUT VERY SHORT, Bowser fury the rest was a remake.
Metroid Dread NOT IN HOUSE MADE IN SPAIN BY MERCURY SYSTEMS.

So see above and think better next time.

Fan boys on here, don’t say anything bad about Nintendo. That’s why they get away with a lack of big AAA in house games, they don’t have to try that hard.

Re: Random: Nintendo Kart Is Trending On Social Media, Following Claims Of Mario Kart 9 Being "In Active Development"

Dezzy70

@Meteoroid
I totally agree Nintendo don’t want a big super powerful console say even PS4 power as it would take them over 10 years to get an in-house AAA game out with that graphically fidelity.
But they need to stay third party relevant to some degree, which they did for a long while with the switch, but it will start to drop off now as the gap between the Switch power and PS5 and Series X power wise is massive and it will get more harder for developers to bring the game down to Switch level.

So ok release a slightly more powerful console than the Switch but get your in house development making a steady stream of AAA games throughout the consoles life not just the first two years.

Re: Random: Nintendo Kart Is Trending On Social Media, Following Claims Of Mario Kart 9 Being "In Active Development"

Dezzy70

@Meteoroid
I will play my Sony AAA exclusives this year starting February 2022.
Hang on are Sony not a Japanese company that have grown their developer base and number of employees.

And I will play my Nintendo AAA exclusives when they finally release them, as simple as that.

You would thought out of all the big three Nintendo being the real game company, they would have the biggest set up and most AAA games as that is their business.

All I was saying is they take so dam long especially as graphically they probably need half or less for the effects or time as they are simple graphical games compared to say HFW.

You lot on here just love making excuses for Nintendo and the fact the SUITS are running the show their now and not the gaming passionate team.

I have been with Nintendo since the NES days so I have a right to speak my honest opinion, it’s just fan boys can’t hear a bad word or negative opinion about Nintendo.

Re: Random: Nintendo Kart Is Trending On Social Media, Following Claims Of Mario Kart 9 Being "In Active Development"

Dezzy70

@TowaHerschel7
I agree I want BOTW2 this year 2022
But as always time will tell.
I hope the new Kirby game is going to be top notch AAA by Hal, we need a new AAA platform game.
I was expecting a Mario Odyssey 2 by now like we had with Mario galaxy 1 and 2 on the Wii.
That’s why I moan about lack of Nintendo in house AAA games, they seem to have slacked off.
