Well like any tech, there comes a point when everyone that wants one has one.
Then the new boy in town starts selling more as well.
Basically in the business it is called
Product life cycle.
I think the Switch will not sell more than PS5 in any territories this year but will be a good second.
It’s just simple product life cycle, that’s all.

Still not got a reason to fully explore this old and some new land.
I need to know about Shrines 120 or something similar
They were great. A reason to explore the land and also some amazing puzzles and distractions from the open world.

Anyway bedtime in the UK now 😂

When BOTW2 shows me something worth the money I will pay.
After todays new trailer I have not a clue.
I need a reason to explore and to have change like the 120 shrines in BOTW.
Until I see something like that and newish they not getting my money.

Totally my experience with this Nintendo direct.
Great Metroid and Pikmin 4.
Totally let down on the Zelda trailer front.

BOTW2 trailer made more skeptical about the game than I was before.
Maybe it will come good for me maybe it won’t.

Maybe there are shrines to find and make the game worth exploring, maybe korok as well.
Maybe some dungeons.

Currently no where near any excitement like I had for BOTW.

They could release another trailer and all will come good, shrine wise and a reason to want to explore all over again, but currently I am even considering not buying at the moment.

Well that must be paying for the 10% pay rise they just gave employees 😂

Exactly my thoughts if they don’t give a reason to explore and it was so well done with the shrines then it’s not worth exploring, In just my opinion.

I really hope there is shrines in the BOTW2
It was great with the detector tracking all 120 down. A reason to explore.
It also took you out of the open world and gave you a challenge and something to think about.
Also finding and collecting the Korok as it had meaning for more item slots.
If they take those away and don’t replace them with something else just as good and meaning full then BOTW2 will really lack the exploration experience and a value for doing so for me.
It will be like going backwards and towards more of a traditional OOT Zelda that would seem so dull compared to BOTW.
I know some will disagree but just my opinion and owned every Nintendo console since day one.

I’m keeping exceptions low for the final year of the Switch.
We have BOTW2 and Pikmin 4. Great.
I think all other big AAA will turn up for Switch 2 and that is what Nintendo’s internal studios have been doing all this time.

Maybe paper Mario Kart, not sure.
Remember this game has sold millions they won’t want to risk the next instalment selling a lot less.

I’m not sure either what they can do to change things up really and drive new MK9 sales.

Played through and an over average game but let down a bit by old tech for now a days.

It will be very interesting to see how Nintendo move past Mario Kart 8.
It can’t be an easy decision or process to deal with.

Compared to other companies yes, especially when you add up all their studios.

If you are telling me they have the amount of studios like say Sony. Then what the hell have those thousands of developers been doing for Nintendo.
I guess at the Nintendo theme park or watching the new movie 😂

Nintendo as much as I would love a super powerful Nintendo console.
Please don’t do it, you would never get a big AAA game out the door to the gamers.
To much work, not enough experience and studios to small.
It’s a shame we will never see Zelda or Mario etc at say a level of fidelity of HFW etc.

It seems a bit slim.
What doesn’t help they don’t the big AAA third party as well.
It’s all about a new 3d Mario platform game for me. They have milked and abused the old games remake on switch platform games.
Very very lazy on the new AAA platform game front on the Switch.

And there was Nintendo saying with now only one hybrid console to make games for instead of separate handheld and home consoles, there would be more big AAA games. Bit of joke really.

I see Mario and think odyssey 2.
Now that would be a really fantastic surprise.

I had an N64 for this title amazing at the time but definitely not now.

Toad looks the best for me.
Now just bring on Odyssey2 or SMG3 and I’m truly complete.

To tell Nintendo to get their arse in gear and get some official black standard Switch pro controllers over here.
Even Sony have managed to restock PS5 disc solo since Christmas.

Just as important should we keep gathering and cooking?

Breakable weapons yes.
Maybe with some sort of repair system but limited to how many times.
Maybe some light upgrading capability

This gives me something to think about and manage during the game.

Dam me again, thought we were getting a new DK Switch platform game. 😃

They must of sold bucket loads of Switch over Christmas UK.
I can’t get an official pro controller black standard edition for love or money from a standard no scalping store.

They need make more of these first 😂😂😂

So hope you are right with Zelda and Pikmin 4 and Odyssey 2 and maybe if not Metriod 4 then a remake of 1. That would make my Nintendo dream year for 2023.

Why stop, best selling console I think everywhere for 2022. USA for the last five years and Europe and UK for 2022 and probably before I’m not sure.

Totally been saying this not to capitalise on the Mario Movie With Odyssey 2 or SMG3 would be such a shame, especially for us platform nuts.

It would probably sell and bring money in like never before they just feed of each other in the PR commercial world, even self advertising each other.

I’m good with this I just think we need more than just Zelda and Pikmin 4 from Nintendo in house teams this year 2023.
It will be 6 years this year since the amazing Mario Odyssey, my body and mind are well overdue and ready for a NEW Mario platform game for Switch.
We have only had one really this Switch generation.
Come on Nintendo, do it.

Absolutely it is their thing their market.
Keep it hybrid.
If they go home console alone they are taking a massive risk.
If they go handheld alone it won’t be to everyone’s taste.
If they go separate home and handheld, being honest I don’t think they have the developer resources and maybe knowledge especially if they go PS5 power and try to match graphics etc.
And then have to develop for a handheld console as well.

Standard new shop price, no scalpers.
there is the odd expensive Splatoon 3 special editions one about.

I really enjoyed the game and with the Wii U Pad being used a bit, it felt sort of good at the time.

All of a sudden I’m missing Zombi U.
I’m probably one of few that was well bought into the Wii U, my daughter still has it her house now and plays now and again on it.

My OLED TV is ready check.
My surround sound is ready, check.

Will be interesting to see where it all starts, will we have the compass teleportation or horse teleportation from BOTW dlc when we start.
Will it breakable weapons, will we making food etc etc.

I think this year, the full 2023 they will have to drop some big AAA games second half and last quarter of the year to stay top in console sales, in Europe and the UK.
