I guess I don’t see it as I don’t know anyone in a wheel chair and don’t have to deal with that on a daily basis.
I think some of issue in the UK and many other countries it is all about money I’m afraid the whole fabric of politics and living well is about money.

I’m going on a little weekend away this weekend to the Isle of Wight, I’m gonna keep a look out for wheel chair access and things and open my eyes a bit and learn a little as well.

The bigger issue is how do we get this things that are required in the UK to help, is it down government or business. I guess if laws where passed to force access etc, business would have to build them.
There must be some laws especially in building etc to do with health and safety, maybe in case of a fire etc.

Think I live in a nice world and where I work and people I know and work with.
I work with and have all sorts of friends and must live in a nice bubble and do not get general life exposure to most of this discrimination.
Yes in the 80s when I was younger there was more about.

The bigger question is why do these countries with mass power and wealth have laws that discriminate against others.

And I and we treat everyone the same no discrimination what so ever.
Of course our company policies state this as well.

What’s up with the world and all these statements.
Just let people live and be want they want to be etc.
as long as no one is doing any harm to anyone.
All these statements etc just create an atmosphere and fuel the anti groups and people.
All this LGBQT creates is a special group that will stand out, which will then never make it the normal in life.
Everyone just be and enjoy and love then it all becomes the normally hopefully.

I get your point about price point and a valid business point it is as well.
I think it’s just a little dream of mine to see some of Nintendos top AAA games like Zelda etc graphically looking top next generation.
We can but dream and imagine running around a Hyrule or a Mario Odyssey with the 4K 60fps, HDR, massive texture details etc etc, pure real 3d digital surround sound. What a world Nintendo could create backed up with the best game play ever known to gamers.

It’s all about opinions.
I just feel Nintendo could be bigger as a business in the console market and have not reached their full potential and mainly appeal to more gamers and general public had they gone with a powerful console and better graphics etc and the third party games on par with the PS5 and Series X.
Nintendo consoles miss out on a lot of very good third party games due to a weak console power wise.

I just would like as a gamer to have Zelda and Mario being produced on a top power graphical console with all bells and whistles and a Nintendo console with full and equal, quality wise third party support.

They would for sure sell more consoles.

This would never happen with Nintendo and that’s why the company will never grow to its full amazing potential it could be.

And now it’s stuck with not big enough studios to develop massive games with top end console graphics and sound. Imagine how long it would take them and the lack of experience at that graphically fidelity level.

Nintendo will just slowly and incrementally improve with each console release.

Shame I would love a Nintendo with their console at PS5 level and the Studio sizes that Sony and Microsoft have making Nintendo amazing games like Zelda, Mario etc.

Nintendo here not really taking advantage of the Womens Euros football finals tournament taking place in the UK at the moment.
That could have really promoted the Switch and Mario Strikers, especially as this a younger very well behaved football crowd male and female family oriented and all games free live on TV.
Then again I don’t think Nintendo PR know how to take advantage and advertising correctly outside of a few key games.
They always seem slightly out of touch with European main events that could help Switch and specific game sales, like Mario Strikers, Europe being a massive footballing nation.

I enjoyed my Wii U, remember getting it day one as with all Nintendo consoles N64 and onwards.
Got these games day one as well and thought not a bad launch day line up.

It also came in handy if you wanted to play off the tv.

Amazingly my daughter purchased one only 3 months ago for £60 with about 6 good top end AAA games and she’s really enjoying it.

I remember back on the SNES street fighter etc being about £50 to £60.
Now in 2022 I can buy BOTW or Mario Odyssey for £50. Firstly far superior games to street fighter especially in terms of content etc and all those years of inflation, I can’t complain really.

Well I upgraded from day one switch to OLED switch.

The full article does go on to say to date year 2022 the switch is the biggest UK selling console.

The UK is one of those EU countries where all 3 consoles do well and have lately been even sales
roughly.

Well if they do, let’s hope it’s a full 1080p 60fps docked.
Also good tight controls using both analogue sticks for the pro controller.

Like most businesses they are probably lead in some way financial decisions and what game is right or wrong to develop at that time.
Shame, we just want the top AAA titles that we know Nintendo in house can produce.
Absolutely Retro and some others, god knows what they are doing or trying to produce game wise.
No disrespect to the Switch but it is not like they are producing games on a power house console taking up so much graphical development time.

For my ultimate direct dream say for June would be a surprise Mario Odyssey 2 or new Mario or Donkey Kong platform game being released this year Christmas.
Apart from Mario odyssey and the add on Bowsers Fury, Nintendo in house AAA studios have given us not a brand new platform game in over 5 years.
It used to be Nintendo bread and butter, and as they don’t produce for a separate hand held console now it’s about dam time.

About time we had the new MK8 tracks.
Also I hope they are top end tracks, the first wave were a bit hit and miss.

So come about the second or third game when open world sonic lesson have been learnt and developers got to real grips with it, we could have the perfect open world sonic game.

Apart from Mario odyssey and the bowsers fury add on, both amazing games by the way.
It’s a dam shame after all this time and with staggering Switch sales and no independent hand held console to make games for.

Wow 2017 first announced so five years so far to make this game.
Unbelievable game development time of late.
It will hardly be a massive open world and an amazing looking game on a top end powerful system, will current bells and whistles.

Not sure what is happening in the industry of late, all development time seems to be taking a lot longer and overall quality dropping a bit, all systems and games not just Nintendo stuff.

All I know is the industry I’m in, working from home, which is not compulsory now, definitely has not helped the industry I’m in.
The problem since Covid working from home has become a thing and companies have had to keep it on after covid and these companies are definitely suffering overall for it in various ways.

Waste of developers resource.
Go make a Mario odyssey 2 or DK platform game.

That’s good if it only checks first use on a single console use. Then when internet down you can still play.

So DRM is even an issue on the Switch.
Being honest I thought it didn’t use DRM for digital games, but that should me I was wrong.
The future is here even with Switch.

The SNES to N64 was one of the best generation leaps for me.
When I played Mario 64, Wave Racer it was truly a generational leap. I even had an imported N64 as I could not wait to play those games and the console to release in the UK.
Those were the good old days.

Finally someone on here speaking out and agrees with my thoughts on Nintendo studio first party AAA games, or lack of.
Could you imagine them making a Zelda with all the graphical flare and 4K,HDR,high res textures, real surround sound etc etc. it would take them about 15 years.

I’m a big new game AAA gamer really, don’t really go for old games, or remaster or remakes.
Like new big and mainly adventurous.
BOTW, HFW etc.
Big platformer games as well, Mario Odyssey etc.
Don’t mind a bit of exploration fps as well.
Racers don’t make me buzz any more, thought MK8 Deluxe gets played online and couch competitions.

I was with Xbox since day on original Xbox and had all their consoles, and the moment Xbox just doesn’t do it for me Halo Infinite campaign was ok to a point.
But currently they are weak for me, especially with Starfield gone to 2023.
So just have Switch and PS5 now.
The Xbox series x console itself though is extremely well designed, more powerful and very good features. But it’s games that count and the type I like above.

I think each company has its own strategy what is best for their business model.
Nintendo I guess need to make it count it’s their main business but they are branching out, but it is game related like the theme park.

Sony the game business is massive for them and they have to make that count, they have other businesses as we know, movies and TVs etc.

Microsoft, don’t have to make anything count they are a trillion dollar company can offer anything at anytime. Their real big market is pc software and severs etc as we know, Xbox is tiny overall. But at the end of this generation will sit in third and it will end similar to the Xbox one generation, maybe with a little gain. People can say game pass this and that but sell a console you stand a chance of selling a game pass subscription.

This is true and is great for the Xbox gang.
Of course Xbox are really really trying to get back on track and are easy the most customer friendly team out there and have the money to do so.

Xbox issue is they don’t know how, outside of Forza Horizon 5 to produce and deliver a top end AAA studio game for the mass market, that captures the public imagination and drives console and game pass sales to the Sony and Nintendo level.

With all the success and money Nintendo have made over the years, you would think they could manage this simple task of having all cloud saves and cutting any confusion.
Sometimes so backward.

In the UK it is very rare not to be able to buy a switch one of the 2 models is always about to buy and the lite is as well.
Unfortunately this tells me apart from the games we know about for this year and the recent BOTW2 delay to next year, that is it game wise for 2022.
No new Mario platformer or DK game, no Metriod or any other big AAA games.

Perhaps they should create one for the Switch
As god knows when that might make an appearance 😂
