Game a lot better and more bigger and expansive than I thought and that’s a good thing.
Good bit of adventuring as well.

But just picked up Sparks of Hope for £42.99 physical so on that now. So far really good game.

Anyone know the docked and handled resolutions and fps etc.

Not sure if the Switch will make the best selling console of all time.
One theory if they released a Switch Pro that stayed within the Switch family then probably yes.
As I would treble dip from original Switch to OLED to Switch Pro.
Will be interesting to see if Nintendo take that tactic so they can say they have the best selling console of all time.

I’m happy with that and it will still look good enough on my 65” OLED as it up scales very well.

There is a but though, it is getting near time when we could do with Nintendo games giving us some graphical wow and moving forward some what.
The Switch is 6 year old tech very soon and it really is starting to show.

You could argue that Nintendo planned it this way release wise. But it’s better than most of their own in house offerings of late, when they decide to release some and it’s not a remaster either.
Well done Ubisoft, you not had much credit of late but deserve some this time.

And whilst I’m on the wagon, come on Nintendo nearly 6 years old is Switch and only one new Mario platform game from your in house studios, Mario Odyssey. It’s about time, you making god knows how much money etc.
I hope the Lego, theme park and movie industry not dragging your focus to much.

to have tied us over until May.
7 months away and would have just been about right before BOTW2.

It depends what the going rate is for this type of work on that type of game. You know the going rate. Shame it has ended all this way.
Lucky they didn’t ask the Rock it would have 4 million USD.

Bring it all to MK8, apart from Luigi mansion track we need something a bit scary and different.

And yes Nintendo do worry me a bit on doing something a bit crazy.

They would crazy to move away from the hybrid market. Things have changed and I don’t think directly trying to compete now a days with Sony and Xbox on a standard home console would bring the returns in.
Now they could try the split market again home console and handheld but I believe their teams are integrated now as one so it sounds like the future is hybrid.
I just pray they don’t go hand held only that would be devastating to me personnel as I love to play docked as well.
My money is Hybrid again, just a more powerful Switch, but you can never tell with Nintendo.

A bit late on arrival, but Splatoon 3.
Not sure what the issues were early on but I have not had one single issue so far.

Upgraded to OLED just this week got the white one with Splatoon 3.

Can’t wait for May 2023.

Totally agree there is a lack of new 3d or 2d Mario.
Was thinking the same to near to Zelda.
But a home release blu ray release say November 2023 with a new Mario game probably spot on.
Surely they got to do it. They crazy if they miss out on this.
Would also maybe an amazing last swan song for the Switch ends maybe early 2024.

Really think or say dreaming they have something up their sleeve for the movie release tie in.
The movie / game tie in and sales would be astonishing and set new records.
A new Mario 3d or 2d platform game. Surely they can’t miss this opportunity that rarely comes round.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 please just dlc and add to all stars. Missed opportunity there.

Early to mid 2023 release I’m right behind you there. Long overdue for the Switch.

We will watch this trailer and go only if Nintendo had a machine with the power to make our 3D Mario game dreams come true.

For fps sake Nintendo give us a new Mario platform game.
Just one new one Mario Odyssey for the switch in nearly 6 years March 2023.

Nice toys, any chance of a new Mario 3d platform game, over five years since the last one.
And being fair you making tonnes of money and sold over 100 million consoles, millions of games and controllers etc.
come on you have gone into sleep mode with you in house AAA studios.
Then again with the old boss gone, bless him, it’s all about the quick buck and share holders now.

Will be very interesting to see what Nintendo do with Switch 2.
If they don’t make it backward compatible with the current state with the other two, it will seem extremely anti consumer.

Through I am used to a new generation meaning a new generation, new games for the new system taking advantage of the new system straight away.
I guess I don’t need a third company shoving all their old games down me throat with the odd little tweak, rather than giving me new games for a new system or making them cross generation.

Only time will tell, but I think it would be nice for Nintendo to do it the old way, new console new games.

Definitely painting by numbers and looking to please share holders instead of gamers.
They are sort of becoming the quick buck company, for least effort.

This is unlike the Nintendo I used to know with all these updates.
Normally extremely polished games on release.
For me they have changed so much since the amazing release of the switch and the first two years of incredible AAA in house games.
Their in house games now don’t seem to have the single player longevity and quality polish they used to have.

Because the game, characters and setting is made for the Japanese taste and market.

If they had created Splatoon with say like COD world and characters but exactly the same game, it would have not done so well in Japan by a mile.

Goes to show even with Nintendo games nowadays, smaller in nature compared to other massive games that patches are required.
That’s why always now a days I hold off for a while before buying.

Thought the first Bayonetta was amazing sort of dark and mysterious and new.
Played Bayonetta 2 and it lost me, can’t pin point it, maybe it sort of went to colourful and sort of un dark and lots it’s mysterious ness.

I went underwhelmed.
Don’t get me wrong we knew about the amazing BOTW2, Pikmin 4 for 2023 was cool.

But come on Nintendo, we have had one Switch new in house AAA platform game Mario Odyssey
and I think that will be it. The rest have been remakes a little bit of Bowsers Fury.
Nothing on Metroid 4.

On a sort of positive me thinks.
Switch two will release with Mario Odyssey 2 or some big AAA platform in house game.
And Metroid 4.
That’s what their studios are tied up making now, as there will definitely be no new Zelda game ready for Switch 2 release date.

It’s about time we had a top AAA platform from their studios.
We really have only had one new AAA Mario platform game, it’s time for Mario Odyssey 2 or something very similar.
Considering they don’t need to develop for separate home and handheld consoles it’s been a long time coming.

So Nintendo bought them in 2007
Now it all makes sense.

The switch and PS5 will swap top spot here and there. Depending on Switch special edition consoles like Splatoon 3 and PS5 stock in the UK.
Good to see them both doing well.

Will be interesting to see what reviews it get soon.
I’m holding out to see if it’s to similar to number 2 and also the campaign content as Nintendo on some of their games seem to be cutting that part a bit short recently.

Covid started the work from home trend.
What’s happened now and come out of that with a lot of companies including the one I work for is new work from home hybrid polices. I.e WFH 3 days of the week and 2 days in the office.
It has definitely had an adverse effect overall across the business inter departmentally.
But unfortunately that’s life now.
So we have to longer for a lot of things as overall work flow efficiencies have dropped.
Anyone that tells you different, is all those WFH, as that is what they want to do.

What a lot of corporate PR.
Not singling Nintendo out, they all at it this week and even some developers 😂

You don’t know me and my open equality towards all this.
You need to chill and have a go at the scum bags that have made you this mad.

No my female friend doesn’t really talk much about being lesbian and neither does her partner.
It is all just the normal everyone is equal.
Just like I don’t talk about being white English and straight this stuff doesn’t come up.
I think it is because she lives in my nice world bubble and is having a great time being honest.
She was also born in Brazil and half Italian by parentage and came to England about ten years ago and thinks it’s great.
She now has a degree and works in a good job
Greater London of course.

No I want the whole planet earth to be of beautiful equality and we all live as one equally regardless of race, religion, gender, sexual orientation etc etc.

Problem is the human race looks after mainly number one, their self. Harsh reality but true.
Even friends that are LGBT+ that recently partied in London with Pride are now and thankfully enjoying themselves in this environment and living in what I call good middle England and have forgotten the rest of world and areas and issues with the LGBT+ community in other countries.

Yes we have did have a some protests etc a couple of years ago but they weren’t by the masses of the community, but it was a good reminder of peoples rights etc.

Not sure what country you live in etc.
But I don’t experience that in the UK when it comes to health service and equal rights in other areas like work etc.
Though the UK especially around London and Greater London is beautifully multi cultural and equality seems in abundance for all LBGT+

Let’s hope the rest of world and in your country and society they become the same as where I live.

It’s more in my eyes everyone is equal as in how I treat other humans. It’s doesn’t matter to me if they are LGBT+. All humans should be treated equally.
I’m not political, I live and work and have friends in a nice bubble and everyone gets along and is treated equally. I guess I’m just very lucky to be in that lovely environment in my life where everyone is equal.

True we forget what was illegal in the UK not that long ago.
But the time as come where there should be no need to fight for these rights in any country.
Those in charge should open the laws and let people be.
What is sort of interesting is how these illegal laws become in the first place. I think maybe religious beliefs may have started it, I’m not sure.
